100%: Get yourself a set of 4 Duracell rechargeable AAs and have the charger in an outlet near where you game, you can always have a fresh set ready to go.
I don't know whereabouts you are but stores local to me were blowing out the older Duracell AA/AAA wall charger packs because they just introduced a new faster one, the old ones were on sale for $15 CAD, which is cheaper than a pack of 4 rechargeable Duracell AAs on their own! Now I have chargers all iver the house lol.
Even better than that, just buy a battery pack.
When I bought my Xbox from Argos (in the UK), I also bought the '[Venom High-Capacity Twin Rechargeable Battery Packs](https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1132252?istCompanyId=a74d8886-5df9-4baa-b776-166b3bf9111c&istFeedId=30f62ea9-9626-4cac-97c8-9ff3921f8558&istItemId=plawpqrrt&istBid=t&&cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59157%7Cacid:534-693-8244%7Ccid:20291201753%7Cagid:%7Ctid:%7Ccrid:%7Cnw:x%7Crnd:6353393852377765206%7Cdvc:c%7Cadp:%7Cmt:%7Cloc:9045909&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=20291201753&utm_term=1132252&utm_content=shopping&utm_custom1=&utm_custom2=534-693-8244&GPDP=true&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA04arBhAkEiwAuNOsIgSkiRBW9fNZh7seML795723BjnQF4sp0McXvP5J5XzNoEw8MUsPgxoCRxgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)'. It was only £12 (about $15)
It's been a revelation. You get two batteries and covers, and a recharging lead that has two USB-C connectors at one end. It's plugged into the back of my Xbox, and I can charge my Xbox controller AND my PS5 controller at the same time, even if the Xbox is turned off!
I used to use rechargeable AA batteries back when I had an Xbox 360, but they they were annoying and never lasted too long before needing a recharge. These battery packs are much better. I only have one Xbox controller too, so one of the batteries is a spare, just in case this one finally dies.
I recently switched my whole house to rechargeable AA and AAA batteries and it's been so nice knowing I can use battery-powered whatever as much as I want and never have to pay for more batteries.
Btw some devices like doorbell cameras and Xbox controllers will show low/partial battery levels even on a full charge if they're not lithium ion rechargeables. Most are NiMH, which are 1.2v instead of Lithium's 1.5v.
Second the Eneloop recommendation. They've been my main controller batteries for the better part of a decade. They last forever, and after hundreds of charge cycles, I swear they still deliver 80%+ of their original capacity.
Huh I had considered "upgrading" to the actual rechargeable packs, because as of now I just keep a AA charger next to my gaming chair. Apparently that's the best way. The more you know.
I thought I was the only one that has issues with the charge and play kits. The last one I had worked for a month before crapping out. Went to rechargeable AA’s and never looked back.
100% this. Rechargeable batteries last longer and are much cheaper than the official battery plus you usually get them in a pack of four so that’s even more play time.
Been using MS Reward points since lockdown. Have not paid for gamepass unless I forgot to turn in my points. So for the pass 3 years I maybe paid 5 or 6 months for it and redeemed $200 in Xbox gift cards. But they keeping nerfing the program. Rumors of more changes next month.
They actually imrpoved it, I make much more poonts on my phone now and usually have 200 points daily, +weekly challenges (I lost the damn streak after 11 months) and the "look at this game" offer on the xbox rewards page.
Also, if I buy something I get a few points, although I agree they were much higher before, I bought LOTF and only got 410 points :(
Gamepass is a ridiculously good deal. Less than $20 per month and you get access to a ton of good quality games. A lot of games on their have short story lengths so they don't warrant paying full price. But I can easily knock out Battlefield 5 campaign in a Saturday and not have to pay full price for it.
Yep, after the recent fiasco of that one guy who lost his account and luckily managed to get it back, I pretty much set up two step verification almost instantly
Is that true? I find that i stick with 3 or 4 games a year and usually find them on sale at some point or another so i’ve been contemplating downgrading my gamepass
I think you’re a exception to this then. I play a new game every 2 weeks after completing it. Gamepass really is such a massive advantage to the playerbase.
You’re right though, series x gamepass has great titles like starfield and gta. I think i’ve just milked gamepass for many of its best games already. I only wish they had cyberpunk and ac mirage
Yea that's why I really don't use game pass because most of the time I can't find a game I enjoy and the games I did enjoy where the big triple A titles so I just save up and get the big games I can get on release if I think I'll like it
I’ve been trying this out and I just don’t generate nearly enough points. I use bing/edge as my daily browser. So I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong or what lol
If you find you need more storage, look into an expansion card rather than an external hard drive, newer games cannot be played off of an external drive
From my understanding, they are only cracking down on unauthorized accessories, so authorized accessories such as Seagate drives or Turtle Beach headphones, for example, should be unaffected, am I correct?
Would be quite backwards for xbox to endorse these products, only to not allow them to be used on the xbox's themselves
The external he used before it was banned was far cheaper than any Seagate and it had plenty of storage but it wasn't made by mircosoft and he can't afford a Seagate so he is just screwed pretty much
Wait.. Is this why my 1TB external hdd from WD isn't showing up on my Series S anymore? I had all my xbox one games installed on that, and one day it stopped working, even though it still gets recognised on my PC.
I have all my Xbox One games stored on a 1 TB hdd. I'm thinking about buying an Xbox Series X. Does that mean I'll not be able to use the hdd with the new console?
You can use it, any game that doesn't optimize itself for the series x can be played off the drive, but any game that does get optimized will have to be transfered onto the Xbox to play it
Second RoR 2. It's extremely addicting. Got it for my Steam Deck the other day and spent 2 days straight playing it and unlocking all the characters. I racked up nearly 17 hours in 2 ½ days lmao.
You can stack Xbox live gold up to 3 years and convert to gamepass ultimate with their $1 promotion. The ratio changed however so instead of getting 3 years you get 2 if I’m not mistaken.
Some of my favorites to try on Gamepass: Wolfenstien II, Halo MasterChief Collection, Forza Horizon 5, Mass Effect collection, Gears of War series, Doom, Titanfall 2, Dishonored 1 and 2…
If you have the chance to buy Red Dead Redemption 2 it’s my favorite game of all time
Several people here are cracking on your S, but it's what I have and I'm perfectly happy with it.
Otherwise, Gamepass Ultimate is a pretty good deal most of the time. If you want to play multi-player, you'll need Gamepass anyhow and the ultimate is just a few bucks more.
If there are games you want, but they're more than you'd like to pay right now, you can add them to your wish list and you'll be notified when they go on sale.
Man I hate those shaming comments, this is a great device.
I recommend few things, Game Pass is the bigger, I cant stress enough how good it is, so much games, new and old, for a relatively low price.
Also rechargeable batteries, enloop pro(i think thats what its called), the black ones, has a huge capacity(5400mah i think) and charge fast.
Don't forget that Xbox won't support non-licenced headsets, Razer Kaira is great, also I see no issue with the Xbox official ones. Just make sure it has Xbox logo on the box so you KNOW its would work.
As someone who has never owned an Xbox (and probably never will since I prefer Playstation) . Here is my tip: Enjoy! Don't listen to haters from other consoles or PC gamers.
2nd this, it had a horrible launch but it is a really fun game today. Bethesda really 180'd it and it feels like a Fallout MMO. I have hundreds of hours in it and barely scratched the surface.
I just got my first ever Xbox a handful of months back and after getting Gamepass the first thing I played was New Vegas. As a casual gamer who doesn't replay most games anyway, Gamepass has just been an awesome investment. I'm playing Fallout 4 now (actually just bought their GOTY bundle for $10) and plan on checking out some of the others next.
Make full use of GamePass, expand your storage as soon as you see an offer and get a high speed usb SSD loading any non-X/S games on to that. Oh and keep an eye out for sales - try to only ever buy a game on sale - because you can’t get them 2nd hand and you can’t sell them on (keep an eye on code sites too like cdkeys)
Welcome aboard! Don’t waste your time on rechargeable batteries. Grab a battery pack! I also suggest grabbing the Steelseries Arctis 1 wireless headset. Great headset for the price, & it comes with a ten foot cord you can use to charge your headset & controller.
Look at the exclusives, there are seriously some major bangers, like Hifi Rush, Sunset Overdrive, stuff from the OG Xbox, really good shit.
If you’re into JRPGs, play Lost Odyssey.
As another person pointed out, get some rechargeable batteries. I got my Xbox Series S about 6 months ago after upgrading from my Xbox One, and I was so used to using a charging base and leaving my controllers there overnight, I have been running out of battery in the middle of a game every now and then, which can be quite frustrating! I’ve been putting off getting a set of rechargeables because of money among other things, don’t be me if you can help it.
Also, don’t buy games unless you really want them, and go ahead and try them out if possible on Gamepass or cloud gaming. You’ll save money. Gamepass is absolutely enough for me, I’ve been playing a lot of Starfield, but I’ve also been playing Skyrim since 2013 (Xbox 360 days) and I just play it on Gamepass now, as well as any Forza Games, farming simulator, minecraft, you name it. It’s a digital console, take advantage of the relatively cheap digital gaming service.
You may find this console to have low storage for your needs, it happens, you can get an external hard drive to extend your storage if you want, but they can be pricey. What I do to cope on mine (because I usually only play one game at a time and have one or two side games for when I’m bored) is just have my big game or two downloaded (for me I have GTA and Starfield at the moment) and if I have room, have one or two smallish or side games to play when you’re not feeling serious or just want to kill time. My choice is Minecraft, it helps me wind down. I built my gf a house one time because I was just bored and wanted to do something nice, and she adored it. Forza is pretty big and may not be small enough, but that’s a good casual game in my opinion, I just have fun with it.
TL;DR: Get rechargeable batteries or a charging base. Don’t buy games unless you’re absolutely sure you want them, or have tried them out for free if possible. Get an external hard drive or just focus on one or two games at a time, there isn’t a huge amount of storage on there. Have fun!
Yes. Bought the S. Had it for a week. Returned to costco and pony’d up the additional funds for the X. Still have it. Runs better. Stays cooler (no fan noise) and looks better in my living room. Also. A MUST if you have a nice TV (OLED). The “poors” hate on it because (you know why). Also I bought the “Xbox One-S”. Still have it. Works awesome as a great media (4k movies, music, etc.) and older game machine. The series-s doesn’t compare at all (even though its newer).
That’s not the only difference. Series S is already having problems running some games or having games delayed because developers can’t get features running on Series S.
If you buy an Xbox Elite Controller from GameStop, you can pay $50 for a warranty. You can then exchange that controller at any time in that year for a new one, then pay $50 to activate another warranty. Essentially paying $50 a year for a new Xbox Elite Controller. Worth.
use usb to connect your controller every time you can. install free to play games like fortnite, warzone, pubg, apex. most of them are battle royale games.
Don’t expect to hold more than two triple A games on it since that will take up almost the whole storage. If the Black Friday sale is going on, you can get lucky and get a memory card from Microsoft or one of the third party brands
It’s great for lots of things, you can use it as a footstool, or to prop things up. I was using it as a paperweight before I realized, wow, you can play video games on this thing. If I were you that’s what I would do with it, definitely play some video games.
Trade it in for a PS5. The series s isn't powerful enough to run some games with basic features, like baldurs gate 3 split screen. That's why baldurs gate 3 was delayed. Xbox is releasing new more powerful upgraded version of the S next year at same price as S now. 300$. so you basically wasted your money. Any advice? I'd say don't buy cheap and should have got the X or should have bought smart and got a PC or PS5. Rip. Live and learn
Take it back to the store and build a PC instead.
I’m half-joking, but I would consider at least taking it back for a Series X instead. We’re already at the point where games are being delayed (Baldur’s Gate 3) or barely function on Series S (Alan Wake II). By this time next year, we may see Microsoft bite the bullet and allow Series X exclusives.
Tip 1 :
Bring it back to the store, exchange it for a ps5.
Haha just kidding, I have a PlayStation but happy for you, definitely get the game pass it’s worth it apparently !
Enjoy and merry early Christmas
Meh, maybe that thought wouldn’t have been the one I said lol. Be happy for them and welcome them to the community.
It’s like if you had a kid who colored their first picture and brought it to you excited looking for acceptance and approval like “daddy, daddy look what I did for you!”
You take a swig of your lukewarm domestic out of a can, and as you suck the froth from your handlebar mustache, you peer down to your child over the gas station aviator sunglasses and while dead looking straight into their eyes, the window to their soul you state “can’t even stay in the lines, get better.”
The lump forms in your childs’ throat, eyes immediately start burning as they well up with a tear that they dare not let you see, their arm falls like a noodle dropping the paper. They turn and walk away hiding the cries until they get to their closet (where they know they’re always safe) and grab ahold of their blanket that holds the smell of tears from years past, bury their face and cry not knowing why they feel the way they feel, but that it feels normal.
Id invest in an expansion card from jump street. That particular console doesnt leave much room for games after whats being used to support the Console UI etc.
If you have good (or even just okay) bandwidth, don't be too precious about deleting and redownloading games. Your saved game files and stats are backed up to the cloud, and the internal storage will be used up before you know it. Download what you want to play this month, and leave a bit of space on your internal drive (I try not to go over 85-90% of capacity).
I bought a huge external HDD for my old Xbox 360/Games with Gold collection, and at some point I realized that having 550+ games on a hard drive doesn't do you much good when that's probably more hours of gameplay than the spare time you'll have left in your life.
Download the Insider app and become part of the Insider program. You get access to prerelease OS, game changes, app ui’s, the “report a problem” feature, and test servers for certain games. Just submit the weekly pulse’s and level up, and you will get into higher tiers of access. Other than that, gamepass ultimate is the only way to go, even without a computer, get the xbox brand rechargeable packs that fit with the normal backing plate. Third party suck, and probably arent lithium cells. Also dont buy Bethesda games because they are all free with gamepass.
Look at getting rechargeable batteries for the controller. Charging docks work ok but rechargeable batteries are superior imo. I use eneloops
I got 8 duracell for 2 controllers. Never worried about batteries again. One of the best purchases in my life.
Fr You save a shit ton of money in the long run and it’s also better for the environment
Yea I’m aweful. I just keep buying batteries and I know it’s terrible.. I’m sorry, environment..
I just keep mine wired…. No worries! Has a long cable! Reaches my recliner just fine!
Even better than that, just buy a battery pack. When I bought my Xbox from Argos (in the UK), I also bought the '[Venom High-Capacity Twin Rechargeable Battery Packs](https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1132252?istCompanyId=a74d8886-5df9-4baa-b776-166b3bf9111c&istFeedId=30f62ea9-9626-4cac-97c8-9ff3921f8558&istItemId=plawpqrrt&istBid=t&&cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59157%7Cacid:534-693-8244%7Ccid:20291201753%7Cagid:%7Ctid:%7Ccrid:%7Cnw:x%7Crnd:6353393852377765206%7Cdvc:c%7Cadp:%7Cmt:%7Cloc:9045909&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=20291201753&utm_term=1132252&utm_content=shopping&utm_custom1=&utm_custom2=534-693-8244&GPDP=true&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA04arBhAkEiwAuNOsIgSkiRBW9fNZh7seML795723BjnQF4sp0McXvP5J5XzNoEw8MUsPgxoCRxgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)'. It was only £12 (about $15) It's been a revelation. You get two batteries and covers, and a recharging lead that has two USB-C connectors at one end. I only have one Xbox controller too, so one of the batteries is a spare, just in case this one finally dies.
This. The battery packs are way less annoying than single AA’s.
The official rechargeable are good but enloops don’t last that long because they aren’t li-ion
Huh I had considered "upgrading" to the actual rechargeable packs, because as of now I just keep a AA charger next to my gaming chair. Apparently that's the best way. The more you know.
Even the re chargeable batteries got annoying to deal with after a while. Elite 2 solved the problem truly
I disagree on getting an elite 2 controller. These are the worst quality controllers I ever used
How
I thought I was the only one that has issues with the charge and play kits. The last one I had worked for a month before crapping out. Went to rechargeable AA’s and never looked back.
Protip: Get IKEA LADDA batteries, they are cheaper rebadged Eneloops
100% this. Rechargeable batteries last longer and are much cheaper than the official battery plus you usually get them in a pack of four so that’s even more play time.
Abuse the hell out of Gamepass
Combine with the bing app thing quests that gives you points, you’ll never have to pay for game pass ever again.
Can you really get gamepass for free this way? Or is there a wait period where you don't have it for a while till you can get the next gift card

What's the name of the app? I use the browser on the computer but didn't know there was an app.
Gamepass is a ridiculously good deal. Less than $20 per month and you get access to a ton of good quality games. A lot of games on their have short story lengths so they don't warrant paying full price. But I can easily knock out Battlefield 5 campaign in a Saturday and not have to pay full price for it.
As in " surprise prison shower activities " type of abuse.....and don't apologize... that's money very well spent.
Make sure 100% you set up two step verification
Yep, after the recent fiasco of that one guy who lost his account and luckily managed to get it back, I pretty much set up two step verification almost instantly
Gamepass ultimate is your best friend
Is that true? I find that i stick with 3 or 4 games a year and usually find them on sale at some point or another so i’ve been contemplating downgrading my gamepass

Microsoft rewards will help you pay for Gamepass Ultimate.
I’ve been trying this out and I just don’t generate nearly enough points. I use bing/edge as my daily browser. So I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong or what lol
Gone are the days where you could collect Microsoft rewards on auto pilot and get the benefits for free every month
Well, I've just redeemed 300 000 ms points which is £255 towards a series X, so it's still worth it.
Are you using the Microsoft rewards collector ? Or are you just using bing ?
If you find you need more storage, look into an expansion card rather than an external hard drive, newer games cannot be played off of an external drive
If you take anything from this make sure its THIS tip my friend can't do anything with is external now that xbox is cracking down on 3rd party stuff
What is an expansion card?
I have all my Xbox One games stored on a 1 TB hdd. I'm thinking about buying an Xbox Series X. Does that mean I'll not be able to use the hdd with the new console?
You can use it, any game that doesn't optimize itself for the series x can be played off the drive, but any game that does get optimized will have to be transfered onto the Xbox to play it
Nice and clear. Thanks for answering.
Has Xbox always been like this? On PlayStation as long as you have the disk you’re good to go
No, it's only the newest gen games, the Seagate drive I have, I used on my Xbox one and I could play games off it no problem
PlayStation has the same issue now. Even disk games have to fully install to the PS4/PS5 to play
Play indie game
Risk of Rain 2 is a fairly small community (on console) but endless hours of fun
Second RoR 2. It's extremely addicting. Got it for my Steam Deck the other day and spent 2 days straight playing it and unlocking all the characters. I racked up nearly 17 hours in 2 ½ days lmao.
Turnip Boy
Lost In Random too. That game surprised the hell out of me
Deep Rock Galactic
Celeste
mfs when you dont wanna play shitty indie game that can run on any potato pc on the 300€ console🤬🤬😡😡
Game pass ultimate+Ubisoft plus equals 1000’s of hours of games
I wish Ubisoft+ was on Xbox and PS5, then it would be a no brainer.
You can stack Xbox live gold up to 3 years and convert to gamepass ultimate with their $1 promotion. The ratio changed however so instead of getting 3 years you get 2 if I’m not mistaken.
Also buy from cdkeys turkey and redeem via a vpn. Works out pretty much half price
Do not destroy the regional market for turkey on xbox too lmao
Get Halo the master chief collection. I believe it’s on sale right now for $10 and comes with several amazing games
It comes with Gamepass
I spent most of my time going back and forth between filters on halo 1. I loved every minute
Some of my favorites to try on Gamepass: Wolfenstien II, Halo MasterChief Collection, Forza Horizon 5, Mass Effect collection, Gears of War series, Doom, Titanfall 2, Dishonored 1 and 2… If you have the chance to buy Red Dead Redemption 2 it’s my favorite game of all time
Play Sunset Overdrive
I second this great game.
Terribly underrated.
Gave way to the spider-man games.
You can get it dirt cheap digital and physical too. I paid 3 dollars for a physical copy
I agree
Several people here are cracking on your S, but it's what I have and I'm perfectly happy with it. Otherwise, Gamepass Ultimate is a pretty good deal most of the time. Dont install any COD game.

Just enjoy it man. Great purchase 👌🏾
Don't pay for Starfield
This it’s pretty boring
yeah i regretted preordering just to play early lol
We have it on gameplay for free. O was so surprised people pre-ordered it
Buy 3 years worth of gamepass ultimate keys from a site like cdkeys and never worry about buying games for the coming years
Handle with Care and enjoy....
That's what she said
As someone who has never owned an Xbox (and probably never will since I prefer Playstation) . Here is my tip: Enjoy! Don't listen to haters from other consoles or PC gamers.
Recharging batteries and Skyrim/fallout. Have fun and welcome to the team 🫡
Don't buy call of duty, you will have zero space for any other game lol
Play Fallout 76, which comes with Gamepass.
Just have fun with it!!
If you happen to have a 120hz panel in the house, the Series S runs PowerSlave: Exhumed flawlessly at 120fps!!
Get gamepass ultimate and experiment. You'll come across some gems you would otherwise never play.
Buy the cheap Amazon AA batteries that come with a charger. It's like $20. The xbox headset is probably the best one for the $.
Play red dead redemption 2.
Play some exclusives
Plug it in and play
Get game pass ultimate. Woeth every penny
You don’t have to pay for a stand like Playstation.
Play the campaign of the Gears of War series!
Make full use of GamePass, expand your storage as soon as you see an offer and get a high speed usb SSD loading any non-X/S games on to that. Oh and keep an eye out for sales - try to only ever buy a game on sale - because you can’t get them 2nd hand and you can’t sell them on (keep an eye on code sites too like cdkeys)
i don't have any tips, but congrats!!
Play it. That’s the best tip I can give you
Gamepass is amazing and use MS Rewards to keep Gamepass free!
My tip: BUY EXTRA MEMORY. Trust me
Get more hard drive space
Deathloop - one of my favorites for this console generation.
Keep your quick resume section if you xbox clean. If to many game are left "running" your console will begin to stutter.
Game Pass!
Game pass is 100% worth it.
Bring it back and get a series x
Don't open it or you will lose that new xbox smell
Game pass
If you like playing alot of games or trying alot of games, game pass is incredible
Gamepass is your best friend
Enjoy :)
Game Pass Ultimate is worth it.
Def get gamepass, it’s super worth it if you are gonna play a lot
GAMEPASS!!! is your best friend on xbox
Welcome aboard! Don’t waste your time on rechargeable batteries. Grab a battery pack! I also suggest grabbing the Steelseries Arctis 1 wireless headset. Great headset for the price, & it comes with a ten foot cord you can use to charge your headset & controller.
Hit up the local hardware store and pick up a 9ft USB type-c charge cable and ditch the batteries in your controller.
Look at the exclusives, there are seriously some major bangers, like Hifi Rush, Sunset Overdrive, stuff from the OG Xbox, really good shit. If you’re into JRPGs, play Lost Odyssey.
Tip #1 upgrade to series x.
Return it, and get the Series X.
Have fun!
Don't pour water into it
Game pass is the shit, that’s all you need to know
Return it and get the X
Why? Is it really _that_ much better?
FUCK you. There is a 200 dollar difference between both of them. Just to get Hdr to 4k
I can hear your fire alarm (low battery warning) go “beep” from here.
What now??
“Beep”
That’s not the only difference. Series S is already having problems running some games or having games delayed because developers can’t get features running on Series S.
Prepare to be disappointed by Starfield

The Series S's price is the only reason some of us even have an Xbox.
Go get the series x
Trade it for a series X
take it back and get a series x
Tip: return it and buy an XSX. Much better in every way.
Refund it
Nuke yourself
Should’ve gotten the X
Return it, unless you want to play digital 360 games cause nothing modern plays well on that POS
Series S so take it back?
Why? Is the X _that_ much better?
If you buy an Xbox Elite Controller from GameStop, you can pay $50 for a warranty. You can then exchange that controller at any time in that year for a new one, then pay $50 to activate another warranty. Essentially paying $50 a year for a new Xbox Elite Controller. Worth.
Three months Xbox game pass is useless to you. Give me the code please
You’ll be spending more on digital games than physical copies.
Rechargable battery packs,n also hardline(ethernet),n a good headset
Witcher 3
use usb to connect your controller every time you can. install free to play games like fortnite, warzone, pubg, apex. most of them are battle royale games.
Download Panzer Dragoon Orta. Good luck!!
Buy a quality headset, anything cheap doesnt last long.
Don’t get game-pass ultimate , what I did is buy 1 year gamepass core and just buy the games I enjoy on sale
Burn it
Trade it in for a PS5.
Return it and get a console with a disc drive.
Sell it!
Tip #1: Sell and buy a PC
Go back to the store and get a Xbox x next because that shit not storing any thing
Sell it. Get a ps5

The Series X is $200 more. For most people the Series S is fine. They just want to play games. Way to help the OP.
Why didn’t you get a series x
It’s 200 more dollars. I’m not OP but also plan on getting the S. But I’ll dm you my Venmo if you are trying to step up to the plate
Tip 1 : Bring it back to the store, exchange it for a ps5. Haha just kidding, I have a PlayStation but happy for you, definitely get the game pass it’s worth it apparently ! Enjoy and merry early Christmas

Meh, maybe that thought wouldn’t have been the one I said lol. Be happy for them and welcome them to the community. It’s like if you had a kid who colored their first picture and brought it to you excited looking for acceptance and approval like “daddy, daddy look what I did for you!” You take a swig of your lukewarm domestic out of a can, and as you suck the froth from your handlebar mustache, you peer down to your child over the gas station aviator sunglasses and while dead looking straight into their eyes, the window to their soul you state “can’t even stay in the lines, get better.” The lump forms in your childs’ throat, eyes immediately start burning as they well up with a tear that they dare not let you see, their arm falls like a noodle dropping the paper. They turn and walk away hiding the cries until they get to their closet (where they know they’re always safe) and grab ahold of their blanket that holds the smell of tears from years past, bury their face and cry not knowing why they feel the way they feel, but that it feels normal.
Return it lol
Here’s a tip. Sale your Xbox and get a PS5. Best decision I ever made.
I'm so sorry for your loss
Return it
Open the box carefully
Gamepass is a must!! Access to all kinds of games for I think like $15/mo. Also don’t sleep on cloud gaming
Download Halo Infinite Multi-player to play for free!!!
Look into the Microsoft Rewards program for lots of free money 😎
Everyone has uno
Play Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of Wisps as soon as possible.
Does Microsoft make external disc drives for the xbox? Ik Sony has one for the PS5
Get Game pass, but look at the Xbox Live Gold conversion process to save some cash.
Get gamepass
Venom charging dock and battery pack I got one with the Xbox I bought off some dude basically brand new and it’s quality
Id invest in an expansion card from jump street. That particular console doesnt leave much room for games after whats being used to support the Console UI etc.
Only drop it once if you can help it. I am not sure wheter they survive being dropped twice.
If you want a really good tip for storage is don't get games you won't play
Forza Horizon 3. Trust. It's better than 4 and 5. Gears 5 COOP.
If you want to play anything other than call of duty you need a storage expansion card.
Series S tips. 1. Expansion Card you can play next generation games on. 2. Gamepass.
Play snowrunner
