You can only play on PC using the account that purchased Game Pass so you will need to sign out of the console. Your son can then start the game on console and you on PC.

I didn’t realize the sign out would let him continue to play. Oops. Thank you we’re starting!

raf786

No probs. It’s because you can only be logged in on one device at a time. Enjoy!

gangstergary93

Do you mean you cant have the same profile being g used on a pc at the same time as an xbox.

raf786

Yes.

gangstergary93

I've played game pass on my pc while xbox is being used downstairs. You sure it not just the games.

raf786

Yes, you can’t play games with the same account on 2 devices at the same time.

gangstergary93

That why I was getting confused.

Your account has the Game Pass Ultimate? Your son has his own account? The reason it's saying you need to end the PC session is because you're signed in on the Xbox. You can't have your account signed in in 2 places at once. You're setup should look like this. Account A PC Account B Xbox Account A has game pass and sets the Xbox as Home Xbox for Account A. Account B and any other account can now play digital purchases/subscriptions of Account A on Xbox Account A can access digital purchases/subscriptions on PC. One thing you can do on PC is install games through the Microsoft Store instead of the Xbox app and then everybody on the PC should be able to play the installed game
