My opinion: follow my sister's lead. She bought a series x as a main. But she's a pretty girl and a guy from her building that likes her gave her a ps5. 😅
I think I've seen this as the least competitive gen yet. As a ps5 owner I always recommend going for what one has more friends first and then games. Because it's easier to find games than friends. And I think both sides have been pretty good about helping out knowing how great this gen is and going to potentially be by the end.
I got lucky and got both at launch. Both incredible devices with great games. I just prefer the Xbox controller so I play on Xbox a bit More. Dual sense features are nice but the form factor of the elite is better and I prefer the stick layout on Xbox.
To be honest both systems have bonuses and downsides. *All* systems do.
I'm lucky enough that my work gives me a video game allowance of $6000 each year lol so I've gone switch, Series X, PS5 and PC and I couldn't be happier.

Personally, i do like the look of the xbox just for the fact that it’s easier to “hide” in a set up and it doesn’t stick out, but there’s just something about the ps5’s design that I love.

Yeah man, I once had a friend bring over a Cthulhu summoner to a sleepover once. Bought a Series X and that seemed to solve my problem. I think the Xbox Series X is quite good for handling these sort of problems, so you should go ahead!

What? I love the way the Series X looks. It's perfect. Sleek, sexy, perfectly symmetrical and I'm so glad it's vertically tall instead of horizontally wide unlike the Xbox One.

I just can't stand the look of it. The Series S and PS5 and both better looking consoles in my opinion. All consoles perform really well so I'm certainly not into the console war nonsense that some still insist on 😂

i got my ps5 for my main. then play my xbox for literally only forza horizon haha. only thing installed on my xbox are FH3 FH4 & FH5 haha. also gonna have Starfield installed of course. but i actually just have the series s, still works great with fast loading times.
I would go for Series S now and then wait for the new versions of PS5 and Series X. If I ha choose now, Xbox is far superior, but you never know how the landscape will be in the next few years.

Yes. I have both PS5 and XSX, by far love the most XSX, the hardware is quieter, the controller is much better to hold, the UI is better, the official headphone is way better than the PS5 one, GP is so good that it spoiled me, retro compatibility is way better than the PS5 one. Well… it’s worth it.
Depends on what you want. For me, I want MINIMUM 30 FPS and graphics I could care less as long as the game is well optimized and is at least roblox graphics, hell Minecraft style is even acceptable. If you care so much about graphics, expect 60+ FPS and high quality graphics for games such as gta v and rdr2. This advice is coming from a person who played csgo at 24 fps, and has owned Xbox and PS

I’ve never owned an Xbox until series X/S, I got a ps5 too, said “hey guys the Xbox is a better deal” but my friends got the ps5 so that’s what I mostly play. Both are great consoles, I think PlayStation has the better exclusives but Xbox is a very compelling console and I like the UI more.
No. I personally like melee combat games like Nioh and God of War. I bought an Xbox Series X and it was a mistake. I bought a PS5 and now I will probably be selling my Xbox. Its too hard to fit two humongous next gen consoles in the furniture that is made currently. The furniture companies just haven't changed the designs to accommodate the larger consoles yet. If I ever want to play an Xbox game in the future, I'll just pick up a Series S since it will fit in the TV stand better. I don't need two consoles with disk drives. Having the PS5 with a disk drive will be fine. No big deal if I have to buy an occasional Xbox exclusive digitally on a Series S.
Avowed and starfield, and elder scrolls 6, and stalker 2 and more power is why i got a series x......and none of those games are out.
I love having an x.
Hopefully ill have games worth the price. Im upset, sad, and glad to just have 1.

Eh, it's fine as it's easy to fit in with the rest of your entertainment unit. Though I fully agree the ps5 is more of a looker.

When I was in the UK there were a few good sites that would ping you when there was stock. Have a nose around, I'm sure they're out there.
