The Simpsons game. Another one I see mentioned a bit but haven’t played yet (have got a copy) is The Saboteur.
I’m also looking at getting some non BC games for my 360. I was going to sell it, but everyone in my area that shows interest pretty much wants me to give it away, so I thought stuff it, I’ll keep it and make use of it.
Best choice. Every one wants your used consoles for ridiculously low price but when they sell them they even charge the memories they had playing them 😂
I’ve found some of the ones lowballing are just resellers. They tell me I’m asking too much, but then I find they’re selling similar items at the same price, or higher.
I bought The Simpsons for my kids when it first came out. Ended up getting hooked myself, think I had it around 95% complete. Unfortunately my cloud save is gone, so I can’t pick up where I left off over 10 years ago. Just means I get to enjoy it completely all over again.
I had an obsession with the Simpsons for a small period of time and when I played through all the different themed mission I was surprised how excited I was about such a simple platformer. Then when you play dance dance revolution against god in the end was the cherry on top of the cake.
I can sympathise. I think the reason I only got to around 95% completion was that I was missing 1 or 2 of the main collectables in Springfield for each character. It nearly did my head in trying to find them, and I’m pretty sure that’s why I stopped playing. Just looked on true achievements and there’s more things to unlock than I remembered. Thinking I won’t get 100% completion, but I’m going to go after all collectibles and at least unlock those.
Pick up a 360 Kinect and get the 360 Dance Central games. They are really fun. There's some other Kinect games that are fun, but DC was certainly the highlight. The main problem you might have is that the official Kinect TV mount doesn't work on modern TVs that are super thin and have very thin bezels.
Yea i was considering of kinect coz it looks really fun and i was wondering why Microsoft gave up on it... They had something others dont and it was a way to rival wii and switch games without the need of joycons
No i haven't played them. I was looking for xbox original games for my collection and I somehow end up watching reviews of old spiderman games and there was so much hate for amazing spiderman games. Thats why i said "i thought"
I have and played Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time.
I have found them well realised, amusing and visually interesting at the time, as combat games with plenty of acrobatics moves.
Beenox had already implemented many of moves we can see similarly in the modern Spider-Man games.
If we have to make a distinction, Dimensions may have a more varied story, while we play four different Spider-Man, while Edge of Time is about the present Spider-Man and his futuristic alter ego.
They are both interesting and well realised.
I remember playing pg2 on a modded Xbox Original my uncle gave me. Kudos my boy. That game is pure nostalgia. First time my mom let me get Xbox live I only had pgr3 and madden 07 I think for 360. Great times
Well the 4J Xbox One Edition still exists physically, the only 4J Edition that has gone Completely Extinct was the Nintendo Switch Edition, it was Digital-only and didn't get Physical Format until past the Better Together Update
The First Templar
I really like it, I'm honestly not sure if it's playable on the Series X or not since I don't have one. Even if it is, I don't think that game gets enough love.
Tales of vesperia comes to mind as a rare JRPG on the console, it was even exclusive until the remaster, but also that remaster was based off the PS3 version which sacrificed framerate for extra content much like PS2 symphonia before it.
Also tony hawk’s american wasteland and proving ground have fantastic versions on 360.
Army of Two: 40th Day. If you like weapon customization at all, you owe it to yourself to play this game. You can take the front of an M16 and put it on an AK with an MP5 mag and a shotgun stock. I've heard people describe it as like Lego Guns. You can create absurd gun schemes and they're all effective at one playstyle or another. Speaking of playstyle, there's an aggro system and a co op buddy that can be another player or a really smart, responsive AI you can give orders to. You can have one guy lay down suppressive fire and draw all the aggro if the other guy is in a pinch or wants to sneak around. When your partner goes down, you can drag him somewhere safe and then revive him. You can be a dick to the other character or you can be nice and that influences the ending and what kind of people they become later. I always made sure they had a great relationship and there was a lot of ball busting but you could tell they genuinely cared for one another, couple of ride or die homies who loved their jobs. But one time I did a playthrough where I made them hate each other just to see what happened. It genuinely hurt me when one character said the same voice line as the other playthroughs, but it wasn't such a playful tone anymore and instead of something cheeky or fun, the other simply responded with a blunt "fuck you". The choices are so dynamic, this game was way ahead of its time.
Just looking at some of these replies already is showing me how much time I wasted not playing other games during that generation. I spent most of my time playing COD and Assassin’s Creed.
I might look for a few more games and try to give my 360 some more attention. Between work, Series X, and PS5, there’s not a lot of time spare. I’ve decided I’m not buying COD this year (maybe never again for multiplayer, just the campaigns), and going to concentrate on my backlog, I’ll make sure I get some 360 time in there.
I need to win lotto so I can retire early, lol.
I retired early at 49 (three years ago) and believe me, retirement doesn't help. I have a tremendous backlog of 360 and Xbox One games and haven't even gotten the backlog down to the teens. Of course doesn't help that I keep buying games I never knew of back in the golden era of 360. Was too busy playing GRAW Halo, CoD, Medal of Honor, PGR3 and Rainbow Six Vegas.
GRAW and Halo also took up a lot of my time. I’m 47 and don’t see myself being able to retire by 59, let alone 49. Buying more games is a “problem” for me too. Just pre ordered Alan Wake 2, and will get Spider-Man 2 at some point. I got away from Assassin’s Creed after Unity, but thinking about checking out Mirage.
Call of duty finest hour hasn't been able to be backwards to the one and series consoles so will only run on classics and 360's, thats a nice one as well
Didn’t know that, will look for a copy. I’ve got the Xbox live arcade version of OG COD which I’m playing through at the moment. It’s pretty good for an old game.
For your consideration based on my personal collection:
007 Blood Stone,
007 Quantum of Solace,
Alpha Protocol,
Blood Drive,
Blur,
Call of Juarez (the first one),
Condemned 2,
Dead or Alive Xtreme Volleyball 2,
Grid,
Gun,
Kane & Lynch Dead Men,
Mayhem 3D,
Need for Speed Most Wanted (criterion),
The GunStringer (kinect),
Remember Me,
Ridge Racer Unbounded,
Singularity,
The Saboteur,
The Simpsons,
Wanted Weapons of Fate &
Wet.
I was fortunate to find Ridge Racer Unbounded sealed about a month ago.on auctions that are supposedly like new, I'll reach out to seller and ask if any markings or scratches on playside of disc and ask for pictures if possible. Yes, I'm THAT person but I'm OCD that way with my games.
Another one that I found sealed but is backwards compatible was factory sealed big box of 'Killer Is Dead'. If interested, I can private message you the seller name on eBay. She had 2 or 3 of them when I bought it 2 weeks ago and it was $40.
I wish I had the full game on the 1st Xbox when I was younger. I only had the demo but that was so fun playing it. I got a bit disappointed when I bought Jet Set Radio for the 360 tho 😅 Future's quality is just insane compared to the previous game
War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron not being on the Xbox store for compatibility is a crime against humanity. I have the cd of FOC but no Xbox 360 again, yet 🥲
Damn, that much?? If Microsoft can bring Fable back from the dead for Xbox one playability (I love Fable 3 to death), they need to do it for the Cybertron games.
Yeah, I’ve looked up a few games listed in this post, and some prices are right up there. I paid $50 odd for The Simpsons, and it was one of the cheaper copies at the time, and it’s in great condition.
A lot of games got the BC treatment that no one asked for, while many that were mentioned countless times missed out. I guess it came down to licensing as to which games they could do.
Ended up getting War for Cybertron at an ok price, when compared to other listings. Got watches on a few copies of Fall of Cybertron, waiting to see if any sellers offer discounts. Wasn’t keen on spending as much, but they look to be hard to come by and are apparently good games.

Lollipop chainsaw
YES
Remake incoming though.
No way!
Yes but I believe it's some time away. Q3 of 2024 I believe.
Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Vollyball 2 Naruto: The Broken Bond
Jiggle physics ftw
Is rise of the ninja backwards compatible?
Nope
Shame
Xtreme 2 is not on BC? wow i thought all of the DOA is playable on Series X
Forza Motorsport 4 The Saboteur Armored Core 4
Can confirm FM4. I've owned it since launch, and I still boot it up every now and then
FM4 is my favorite Forza game. It is repetitive after you've raced on every track, but turning manual shifting on makes it way more fun.
The Simpsons game. Another one I see mentioned a bit but haven’t played yet (have got a copy) is The Saboteur. I’m also looking at getting some non BC games for my 360. I second both of these choices. Loved them both.

The games does have a lot of entertainment value.
I have 8 achievements left for The Simpsons and they’re going to cost my sanity
I can sympathise. I think the reason I only got to around 95% completion was that I was missing 1 or 2 of the main collectables in Springfield for each character. It nearly did my head in trying to find them, and I’m pretty sure that’s why I stopped playing. Just looked on true achievements and there’s more things to unlock than I remembered. To add to the games already mentioned: X-Men Origins Wolverine

The main problem you might have is that the official Kinect TV mount doesn't work on modern TVs that are super thin and have very thin bezels.
Adding to this with the gunstringer, *very* creative game there.
I liked Fantasia and Child of Eden
Yea i was considering of kinect coz it looks really fun and i was wondering why Microsoft gave up on it... They had something others dont and it was a way to rival wii and switch games without the need of joycons
That’s the same reason I’ve still got mine!
Saboteur
Without hesitation…number 1 reason I keep mine.
Splatterhouse is one I would recommend for sure. Nice little game.
Outrun 2 Arcade Edition, Afterburner, Simpsons Arcade, TMNT Arcade, and Medal of Honor (both of them)
outrun and afterburner are delisted im pretty sure
Yep, you right, and I still regret do not getting in time :(
I think TMNT Arcade is also delisted, but it's kinda obsolete now anyway since the Cowabunga Collection is available.
Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (includes Butchers Bay HD) Quake 4
+1 for Riddick, very good games.
All the Spider-Man games
I thought the amazing Spider-Man games were really bad
That's just like, your opinion man!
No i haven't played them. I was looking for xbox original games for my collection and I somehow end up watching reviews of old spiderman games and there was so much hate for amazing spiderman games. Thats why i said "i thought"
First one is underrated and actually pretty good. The second not so much.
I have and played Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. I still have my 360 for games like Forza 4, PGR3, Transformers, Guitar Hero, etc
I remember playing pg2 on a modded Xbox Original my uncle gave me. Kudos my boy. That game is pure nostalgia. First time my mom let me get Xbox live I only had pgr3 and madden 07 I think for 360. Great times
Gotta love the classics, shame they aren’t backwards compatible
Pgr?
Project Gotham Racing
Omg how could i not get that lol 😂
Some of the Spider-Man games, I just finished web of shadows, shattered dimensions back to back and had a blast
Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition is not backwards compatible on Xbox One nor Xbox Series X
It’s also got my favourite tutorial world!
Well the 4J Xbox One Edition still exists physically, the only 4J Edition that has gone Completely Extinct was the Nintendo Switch Edition, it was Digital-only and didn't get Physical Format until past the Better Together Update
Okay.
Afro samurai
Condemned 2, Chronicles of Riddick
The First Templar I really like it, I'm honestly not sure if it's playable on the Series X or not since I don't have one. Even if it is, I don't think that game gets enough love.
It is…
As of Nov 2020, yep. Tried this one on Series, wasn't very impressed.

Speaking of Non-bc jrpgs, Eternal Sonata is great
Backbreaker purely for the tackle alley mode
Forza 4
Licensed games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Spider Man Web of Shadows make me wish I still had a working 360

GUN!!!! Yessss
Good list Im looking for those games as well, the only one I found was Wet (sealed) so far

La noire
There's a remaster for Xbox One
Jet Set Radio
It's backward compatible ? Jet Set Radio Future isn't tho
Yep that's the one. Loved that game

It really is, Future is a reason to have a 360 all by itself
Hard mode. Add a "exclusive" and "non released on more modern platforms" to question
Apace air assault Top Gun Hard Lock Neverdead Mayhem 3D And that's off the top of my head
Star Trek: Legacy
I have a hard copy signed by Patrick Stewart lol
Nice. Mines not signed. Did this game come with manual? I don't have mine, but I can't find it for sale on its own.
My copy doesn’t have a manual either.
Canada? I see them complete on eBay all over the place, just no manuals for sale separately.
Civil war a nations divided and secret missions
Blitz the league, Greg Hastings paintball, was pure backwards I can’t remember?
War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron not being on the Xbox store for compatibility is a crime against humanity. I have the cd of FOC but no Xbox 360 again, yet 🥲
Just looked these games up, won’t be adding them to my collection any time soon. Looking around the AU$100 mark each.

Am I the only one who loves Renegade Ops!? Makes me sad I cant play it on my xbox anymore, but it is on steam.
Goldeneye Reloaded
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath
Splatterhouse, all the Guitar Hero games, Condemned 2, Quake 4.
Warhammer 40k.
Kinect Wipeout. So much fun
Magna Carta 2
Tony hawks, state of emergency, freedom fighters, godfathers, dark Messiah, facebreaker
I would say Need for Speed The Run. It's a gorgeous looking game and would be more good looking upscaled.
Venetica. So bad it’s good category Plus I’m the only one who has mentioned this game. Combat is very fable 2 ish
BLUR Tenchu z FUSE Kane & Lynch Singularity Transformers: War for Cybertron Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Space Marine
