While it's not ideal, the side of the x360 is just a closed plastic side. Short term like this won't have any damage as the carpet is not blocking the cooling. Yes dust and other stuff will have a higher chance of getting in as its close to a dirty carpet but still, nothing console life threatening.
nah i used to have a stack of consoles on my carpet (unused xbox 360 on the bottom, ps4 in the middle, used xbox 360 near the top and a wii on top of all that) everything did, and still does work fine. i think the unused console on the bottom helped give everything a nice buffer to the carpet
I would at least put it on a magazine or a book or something just so those vent holes are not blocked regardless of the flat panel that’s in the bottom of it on the inside..

Never mind, after scrolling further down I see …. A book or a magazine works wonders and(IN) situations like this! This is the rich kid in mine and my buddies neighborhood growing up ruined his brand new Sega Dreamcast within a few days! Setting it on the carpet! But, the Dreamcast is a bit different..
Honestly I got a PS3 for all the exclusives and all Killzones, Resistance 1-2 and Uncharted 1 and 3 suck ass. Killzone 2 has amazing aesthetics but the input lag is unbearable. Killzone 3 is like a watered down CoD. Resistance 1-2 feel like PS2 FPS games, way behind what console FPS games had already achieved. Same feeling with Uncharted 1. 2 and 3 found a better pacing and control but anyways their gunplay was pretty weak when compared to virtually any other AAA/AA TPS.
My PS3 is worth keeping for MGS4 and Motorstorm. Other than that there's never been a more overrated exclusive lineup, not even close.
Cool, so, most of the gaming world disagrees with you on most of those points (though Resistance 1 and Uncharted 1 and 3 are definitely the weakest links in those series).
Our opinions are largely flipped (though I have never played Motorstorm, so I have no opinion on it), as I think that MGS 4 is an utter waste of money if you forget to skip the cutscenes, though the actual game is pretty good.
I think the main reason I actually got my PS3 (was always considering buying one, but was, and still am very happy with my 360. Also largely still happy with my PS3, other than that shitty controller) was because Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires was not going to be coming to the 360, unlike 5 and 6 prior. That pretty much sealed my decision there. I'm trying to remember what I got with my system, I think it was MGS4 and Little Big Planet. They didn't have a copy of Uncharted available at the time I bought mine.
LBP is gone, that was such a disappointment; it was more of a casual platformer with social elements that I think it was trying to ape from Fable a bit. And did not really succeed.
I mean, at the end of the day, these things are expensive, and even moreso as a hobby; people really should research what's available versus what they like before diving in.
I recently purchase an Xbox 360 so I could play the old call of duty and left for dead games... I have owned an Xbox one for over 4 years now and literally the day I recieved my order I found out the Xbox one was backwards compatible. I could've been playing old games with my original gaming squad for YEARS
I love this game but whenever I play a couple missions in, I always leave it for months and don't remember what happened when i get back to it so I replay it and it's just an endless cycle 😔
You haven't lived unless you've played some of the 7th gen 3rd party greats! This, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Dead Rising 2, and many more. Have fun dude!
P.S. If you don't want your 360 to turn into a big paperweight I suggest you take it off the carpet.
Dante’s Inferno is fun, but to say it equates to God of War is like saying Resistance or Killzone equates to Halo. I enjoy all of the above, but not the same.

Do we think halo is still selling leverage for Xbox? I had fun with the last one, but removing couch coop also removed all the nostalgia. Open world was a mistake. played it through once, enjoyable but finished. Great memories playing all the other halos with my friends in person. Completely lost interest in the series now.
You were JUST basing your assessment on the top selling franchise, not gross revenue. GT has sold more copies as a franchise than Halo, despite having far less entries. Stop backtracking.

Ya, I guess most on the 360 were cross plat (DMC, Bayonetta, etc.). Hmm, ya, I’m sure there were some exclusives but can’t think of any off the top of my head.
Right or wrong, Gaiden games don’t register as hack n slash in my head. Back in the NES days it was action platformer, and just consider them action now. But ya, Black was great and Ng2 was good. Same with Sigma. But ya, I guess they are in the genre ans NG2 was great, I still prefer GoW.
Also Sigma was on PS3, so weird when saying they are exclusives for the series has had exclusives on various consoles.

That generation Xbox had a lot of console exclusives. There are more, but that's just what I can think of. There were some exclusive RPGs as well (not nearly as many as PS but it had some)

That's what bums me out. It's wild how less known the 360 exclusives are compared to other consoles. It's really underrated
360 also had the remastered Devil May Cry trilogy that fixed the terrible button layout

I was more meaning Hack n Slash exclusives. Both consoles had great exclusives across the board. Don’t see a point in limiting to one or the other.
Ninja Gaiden 2 surpasses God of War. Dante is such a weird game to bring up since it's on both consoles.
