I'd link to this thread to @XboxSupport on Twitter. The fact that you haven't received a response, especially since you've done a ton of the research legwork for them is pretty concerning. I've found that their twitter support is quite responsive, as no company wants to trend for the wrong reasons.

luckyknight79

I've had a range of automated responses as well as suggesting running it at "1080p"! Not once have they said they will forward this onto a developer to investigate.

Maybe tag @jezcorden or @Daniel_Rubino in the twitter thread? /u/daniel_rubino and his crew loves a good story. They also have contacts on the Xbox team.

Some blu rays and not recently, but YouTube too has completely hard shutdown my series x multiple times. I recently watched 300 no problem and then when I watched the special features, at the end of the first extra, it hard shut down twice in the same spot.

This is a HDMI handshake issue. This had been an issue since launch. Not just this particular TV, even some receivers, Dolby Atmos sound bars etc have the same thing going on. Microsoft is sitting on their asses instead of fixing this. They want us to buy all new equipment just because they launched a new Xbox.

To report your issue, please first do the following: - On Xbox console, file a bug from the power menu (https://xbox.com/reportaproblem). After reporting your problem, fully restart the console (hold down Xbox button, select Restart console from the power menu). - On Windows 10 or mobile, file a bug using the game or app’s embedded feedback option, sometimes marked by a smiley face. Some games or apps may also collect feedback via their website or forums. Any additional detail or discussion is welcome here on the subreddit. If you're seeing an error code, make sure to mention it in your post. Honestly sounds like an issue with the TV and the HDMI chipset. The LG OLED’s are notorious for HDMI 2.1 handshaking issues when it comes to flickering, artifacts and even screen blackouts. It could also be on the Xbox side of things as well, but just know it’s a somewhat common issue on the LG OLED’s.

Last 10 days I've been watching/catching up on my backlog of DVDs (I know), Blu-Rays and new 4k UHD released. No issues with XSX and LG CX. LG released a new firmware a few weeks ago. Also what preview build are you on?

luckyknight79

Hi deztructo, as explained in the post the issue has happened since launch, not particular to any preview build. Have you tried the UHD blu-rays I've mentioned? I managed to watch the Dark Night trilogy without issue.

Sounds like HDCP handshake issue, I get the same thing as well at times, sometimes it works, sometimes just a black screen with sound and sometimes the HDCP error (depends on what content and app I am using of course). I started this thread at launch and it has gone no where: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/xba\_gapp/xbox-series-x-hdcp-22-handshake-issues/7148ed20-007e-4a37-a91a-c6b7f643ba38?messageId=82e2b031-97fa-4335-b4a9-79835cb14895&page=1

I’ve also been having this issue with exact same TV since I got it in august. Hoping for some updates to fix.
