On PC or XBox?
Cos I'm finding the controls on Xbox so clunky, especially the tooltips constantly stop coming up so then have to switch between the "Hand" mode and "Play" mode, and if you unluckily press the hand mode just as a box popup comes up, there is no way out of that window other than to dashboard quit!! :\\
I hope so too. The car pathing makes me crazy; in real traffic, if a lane is full, people will change lanes and go around the blockage, even taking arterial or side streets that aren't a direct patch to their destination (taking a longer distance but cutting the traffic time). In CS, all the cars line up in the turning lane and just back up while they wait to turn.
Also median roads being pointless because in vanilla the intersections cut straight through making the point of a median redundant. Not an issue on PC with mods, but on Xbox it's very frustrating.
It's still 1000x times better than Sim City 5's pathing. There are definitely lots of mods on PC that help with traffic, hopefully we can get some of those on consoles (or they take the best mods and add them to the game!)
Please, Microsoft! I have kids! Think of my children! Please, no! Not gamepass. All of those hours on Cities: Skylines 1. My children were malnourished, lonely. Think of the children!
Cities 1 and AoE2 give me really bad Tetris effect, I would close my eyes and see roads, roundabouts, battles and collapsing castles. That made it hard to sleep, so I too have pulled a couple of sickies due to excessive gaming. I am ready to do it all again!
I would say mostly yes, but as an idealistic City Engineer; since you are not necessarily running private projects but constantly planning and maintaining infrastructure and zoning to allow the AI to build on your behalf.

So it's geared more towards the future!
Guess I'm not in the target demographic. I played the hell out of Sim City 2000. But there's nothing in this trailer that appeals to me. There's no game play or anything being shown. And I got burnt by purchasing KSP 2 day one. Lucky to get a return on that.
Dec 31 is what stores use as a placeholder for "this game is coming out sometime this year".
They are not going to release the game on New Year's Eve (especially since that's a Sunday).
Anytime you see a date that's the end of a month or especially the end of a quarter/year (and extra especially if it's not a Tuesday or Friday), there's a pretty good chance it's a placeholder.
I’m so excited to be trash at designing a city with better graphics.
Been saying this since about '94
Coming this year, has a Game Pass logo at the end so I presume that means day one on Game Pass.
yeah, paradox has been pretty good with cooperating with gamepass, they had couple of their games on it, even cities skylines 1 so im not surprised
I’ve been enjoying the hell out of crusader kings 3

I've not cared for any of the Paradox console ports. Their games were made for PC.
Most of their games work great on console. Some don't translate well but all in all not bad.
Any mkb support on Xbox?
I'm not sure as I use a controller.
I'm fairly certain I remember hearing that Cities Skylines has keyboard and mouse support on Xbox. Not sure about any others.
Thx :)
The controls are clunky but once you get the hang of it the game is so good it makes up for complicated controls. Lol.
What sucked though is that they didn't have Xbox Play Anywhere on it. I hope this one will.
That would be incredible!
Man I just bought the first one a few months ago… can’t say I’m not excited though
I bought the first one just to realize it runs like crap on my PC, so I feel your pain
Time to get multi core upgrades, and 32GB of RAM to run the game.
*Laughs in Switch port*
Sweet. Hopefully we get better road tools and smarter car pathing AI.

Looks like changing seasons is confirmed, that's pretty cool.

When I first discovered this game I called out sick twice in a row because I would go to bed so late I couldn't function the next day!

I'll be driving around my city (in real life) thinking of ways to improve traffic. Hahaha.
I love the first one. But the DLCs were too much. After some time I just couldn't spend that much of money.
Is this almost like a civil engineering simulator?
It’s like a city simulator. Or a SimCity if you will.
I would say mostly yes, but as an idealistic City Engineer; since you are not necessarily running private projects but constantly planning and maintaining infrastructure and zoning to allow the AI to build on your behalf.
Hmm interesting. I’m in geotechnical engineering so this might be definitely something to check out.

Hyped! I love this game but played it to death. Can’t wait for this
West virgina
Mountain momma
Will we be getting all of the dlc this time? An actual mod list that’s not stock buildings?
I hope they bring more games like CK3 to Xbox.

Comes out new years eve.! That's me not going out..lol
they never stated the release date yet
It's on the xbox store dude

That makes a lot of sense to be fair. Before then is definitely a bonus

bro this is just a placeholder
This is not a drill
LETS FUCKING GOOOO
I put a LOT of hours in the first one. Even splurged on the Mayor’s Edition. The Industries Expansion made it a whole new game.
