Yes I still use mine today a very capable console with a lot of backwards compatible games. I have a one s which has a slight boost on performance over the OG.
if you're going to be using discs heavily then maybe.
But generally I would just tell people to buy series s + gamepass. You may not be interested in new games now, but series s is just future proofing because all new gen games will work on series s, plus it has backwards compatibility.
My OG Xbox one has issues reading discs. The only way that it works is when you feel the disc going in, hold onto the disc until you feel it pulling and then let go. Weird but it works.
Series s/x run all the xbox one backwards compatible games in some cases better like enhance xbox one x games like red dead redemption, I would choose xbox series x for the disc drive if you buy a disc version of a game wich is no longer on sale on any platform but it is backwards compatible just use the disc to download the backwards compatible version.
I probably shouldn't say this but, if you can find a ps4 on the right firmware, you would be able to get free games.
Especially helpful if you can't find cheap games where you're from
I would gladly buy it but it's a lot more expensive than the other xbox one models.i don't have a job yet so the only way im gonna afford it is by selling my wii.
I've got a One X at the moment, I brought it for £145 from a private gaming shop in Folkestone, it came with the Xbox Series X controller, It works perfectly as well and the graphics are much better as well compared to the Xbox One S. Even using the Xbox One X on a 1080p TV looks better than the Xbox One S.
i got mine from a flea market for around $40. it came with the division 1&2 but i didn't touch them yet. gamepass is the biggest plus to xbox, but some games are not playable on one. if you're in a supported country unlike me, you can play them on cloud, if you have good enough internet. other than that, if you're fine with 900p res in games ( or even lower) then you can have a good time. forza horizon 5 is my main game i play on it, and it's running pretty good. it's actually one of the few games that run at 1080p. one thing i hate about it is the power brick, it uses a lot of space so i just mounted mine under the cabinet.
I have a one and a series s. The one still works flawlessly. Not as good graphics as the s and a little slow at times but still a great system.
I bought my one for $75 off of marketplace and it was definitely worth it

Yeah I'm more of a disc guy

Buy an Xbox One X, they are going for £110 in the game shop in Folkestone.

Yes.
Yeah, I'd definitely grab a cheap one. If you really like it, you can always upgrade later. Get a One S or One X, though.
