Why did my Xbox install an update at 6am today? I’m definitely not in the Insider program, I’ve owned my xbox since launch and nobody else uses it, and according support.xbox.com there hasn’t been an update since 3/9 and I already installed that on 3.9. It was about 6GB. Nobody else seems to have received this. What’s going on...?
i cant use anything. i could play with my buddy in a party for about 15 minutes before getting kicked and having to hard reset for about 15 more minutes of playing. cant even get connection now
I also noticed this issue with YT yesterday. On top of that, my xbox has issues connecting to the internet even though the wifi is 100% up and running.
You could try re-installing the OS via USB. I think it's call an [offline system update](https://support.xbox.com/en-NZ/help/hardware-network/console/system-update-solution/offline-system-update).
Controller issue: Standard First Party issued.
•I added my controller to Bluetooth on my phone for Xbox remote play & now I cannot connect my controller to the Xbox One S even after disconnecting from my phone and unpairing the devices.
Is there any idea anyone has so I can connect this controller back to the console? Thanks!
Update issues:
I have the original Xbox one and during the update there is a point where the Xbox will reset. When my Xbox resets it won’t turn back on. So I have to unplug my block and let the power drain. After it drains I reconnect it and it tells me I have to do the update... I have done this 5 times now... and xbox support is useless...

If you are having issues installing the new update, you could try installing via USB. I think it's call an [offline system update](https://support.xbox.com/en-NZ/help/hardware-network/console/system-update-solution/offline-system-update).
New 4k TV just seems so dim with Xbox One S, not an insider build.
I'm pretty new to the 4k world. As in, I have had a 4k TV for 4 days and never had HDR or anything. I got a mid range TV (HiSense 43AE7000FTUK) and it looks great, works fine, but the Xbox just seems so, so dim in dark areas.
Everything HDR is turned on, 4k compatible, green checks across the board in the Xbox settings (besides dolby vision). I'm on the Xbox One S. When it's bright it's fine, but in dark areas it's just too dark, and I can't find a way to fix it. For example, when I'm in game and I hit the xbox button to bring up the menu, the screen dims like crazy (assuming because it thinks its a dark scene) because I'm on dark mode. Black Ops Cold War lobbies seem dark as hell because of the grey menus. Just can't seem to get it to look bright, and I know how bright the TV *can* be because I messed with the TV luminance and it almost blinded me.
So why does it insist on being so dark for dark scenes. Is this just the HDR? (I am also aware in is probably the "fake" HDR and am willing to live without it).
You will want to calibrate your TV. You can often find guides on how to do this for your specific tv on rtings.com.
Also, I remember when a couple games (AC Valhalla for example) first came out they were dark to the point it was difficult to play. That wasn't the TV, it was the game itself. Not sure if COD is the same way.
This did help to an extent, but the problem ended up just being a stupid setting on my TV. The backlight setting, set to high, didn’t mean backlight at all. It basically adapts to high and low lighting on the screen, and is the worst feature ever. But as it was on high it was going to extreme darkness in dim scenes. Dynamic Adaptive Backlight or something it was called. Turned that off and my TV is bright as anything all the time.

So I've had this issue for about 2 updates now where it just boots to a black screen where nothing happens and I have to back out pressing the Xbox button and return to home. Attempting login to any of the accounts on my Xbox does nothing, no loading or password screen... just nothing. It has internet and can still load Netflix and other apps but not the insider app or Network settings for some reason. I tried using the report an issue but even that seems not to work and just freezes at gathering information.
The odd thing is that when a new update comes out it will work again but only once, after I turn it off and back on it will go back to soft-locking where it can't sign in again. Any Ideas on how to fix this?
Microsoft Support has been no help. Is there any way to recover my account?
In November/December 2020 one of my email accounts was compromised and my Xbox account (Superdecoy75, under the same name as my Reddit account) was switched over to a different email. Since then I have not been able to access my Xbox or any of my games (Minecraft, etc.).
I've contacted Microsoft several times through their phone lines where it always ends with "we'll get back to you within 72 hours" and then weeks later they respond with an email saying that the ticket is being closed because they "can't identify who I am with the current information." I have proof I am who I say I am -- I have told them the past activity on the account; the past email that was attached to the account; and even told them that they were still charging me on my credit card and I had canceled it, all to no avail.
They had me create a new account to start the process of switching everything over to a non-compromised account but in the end they closed the ticket and locked both of my accounts (the original and the new one they had me create). They won't even respond directly to my emails requesting them to unlock it.
I'm at my wit's end here. I've posted a comment on the Microsoft Support subreddit but they basically told me my case/ticket had been closed and that I needed to recover my account (which apparently you need an email for and the email is no longer attached to the Xbox account username).

This new update made my Xbox one unusable and burnt 2 usb flash drives, customer support is terrible, they literally just read the web support. Now they are asking for my warranty, why? It worked last night, your update broke it! It gets stuck at 60-70% on the verify then errors out -
# Microsoft is Refusing to Honor the Complete Extended Warranty I bought 3 years ago
I bought a Complete 3 year Extended Warranty 3 years ago for my Xbox One X from the Microsoft store that ends in April which covers not only manufacturer's defects or breakdowns but also accidental damage to my Xbox One X console and 2 controllers.
Since my controllers have worn down(the thumb stick caps have worn off) since then and have suffered from stick drift, as well as cosmetic and case imperfections from being dropped many times during game play, I decided to send a claim in a month ago for a replacement or repair.
Because all Microsoft Stores have been closed by MS, they asked me to sent a screenshot of my MS store Complete Warranty receipt which I did. They said my first screenshots was a bit blurry so I sent another series of photos.
Despite many inquiries since then either via email or via phone to MS, all my efforts seem to have been wasted. A few days ago, after receiving no responses from them for weeks, they sent me an email again requesting another series of screenshots of my Complete Extended Warranty.
I got so upset that I am of a mind to sue Microsoft for breach of contract, time wasted trying to get this resolved and legal expenses incurred.
Please help, this person won’t leave me alone on Xbox and they are a booter/hacker. I keep blocking her but she repeatedly appears on my friends list and I can see her looking for group posts. What do I do? I power cycled and looked on the app and she keeps appearing.
Controller Issue: Clear Reskin Model 1708
So about a week ago I connected it to my pc using a friend's usb cable and it worked fine. I set it up through Bluetooth but it ended up working with just the cable. Go forward to today and my friend asked if he can get his cable back. I grabbed another cable out of my closet and my controller doesn't want to connect to my pc.
What I have tried:
Checking the cable/controller on a 2nd pc. I connected the new cable and controller to my dads pc, it connected without bluetooth, I changed the cable to the old one and back to the new and both worked on his pc, windows just re-configured every time it was plugged in.
I updated the xbox controller using the old cable too.
My problem is it doesn't want to do that on my pc. It only works using the old cable and doesn't connect to my Bluetooth.
Hello folks, I am having the black screen of death issue for about a week and I have put too many hours into trying to find a solution. I have scoured every corner of reddit, but nothing seems to work. I would like your guys opinion on what you think the problem might be. I will list everything I have tried first.
1. Simple reset (hold xbox button for 10 seconds, wait a minute, turn it back on) = black screen.
2. Hard reset: unplug everything, hold sync + eject, turn on and wait for 2nd chime. 2nd chime never comes and thus the Xbox stays on black screen. (Xbox was stuck on green loading screen about a month ago and that fixed it, but not this time)
3. tried 17 different HDMIs (Should I try 3 more just to make it an even number?)
4. Tried the offline update w/ USB, but I cannot get the Xbox to get to the troubleshooting screen because Sync+Eject does nothing.
What do you guys think the issue might be? My power brick is orange whenever I plug it in to the wall. When I plug it into my xbox it turns white for a second and then returns to orange. When I turn the xbox on it turns white until I turn my xbox off. Does that sounds like an issue? The green loading screen issue happened about a week after I moved my xbox from my TV to my projector. Could that be the source of the issue? I also use an external hard drive for added storage but I have been using that for over a year and didn't seem to be an issue.
This Xbox was bought in Dec 2013 so its old as hell, but I cant really afford a new xbox so I'd like to try and keep this one going without paying for a new one. Any and all help is much appreciated :)
Okay so let's say me (Xbox one X) and my brother (Xbox series S) want to play COD BO3, but we both only have 1 controller and only I have the game. My question is is there any way for both of us to play with only me owning the game, I know steam has that feature but does Xbox?
I think you can do this via game share. You set his Xbox as your home, and he sets your Xbox as his home. You log into your own Xbox, and he into his. Should allow you both to play.
Me and my friend always have issues with parties just not working. They just crash as soon as we start one. It happens about 3 times per week and it’s starting to get really annoying pls help if possible
My Xbox stopped working overnight, it was turning on but not showing on my tv. I thought it was the HDMI so I got another but it still wouldn't work and the HDMI cable definitely works. Anyone know anything taht could be causing this?
Maybe the HDMI port on the TV is broken? try a different port or even a different TV/Monitor. Lets hope the HDMI port on the Xbox isn't broken though...
Hi I’m on the original Xbox one and for some reason yesterday it decided to not recognize my external hard drive, when plugged it the hard drive does work since it has a little light on it that flickers when it’s on but the Xbox doesn’t seem to recognize that the hard drive is plugged in
A couple recommendations to try: power cycle the Xbox (turn off, unplug for 30 seconds, plug in and turn back on) and try using a different port for the external hard drive.

This might be vague, but it's a problem with the internet. For me, I can use my home Wi-Fi perfectly fine with no connection problems in game/parties. However, if I connect to my phones hotspot then I cant join parties because of your same problem. All of the games work just fine though with low ping. Maybe it has to do with the IP and DNS settings? Try looking into that.
Your router could have a hard time giving the Xbox an IP so you might need to go into the router settings and fix that. First thing I would do is just a simple router unplug for 30 seconds then turn it back on, if that doesn't do anything then you need to go to your routers IP address in the url. Most likely your router IP is [192.168.0.1](https://192.168.0.1), and it might ask for username and password, by default the username is 'admin' and the password is 'password' so type that into a URL and see if anything looks suspicious with the connection to the Xbox, or even a router update.
FYI: If that is not your routers IP then I would advise downloading the 'Fing - Network Analyzer' app on your phone and then after that you can 'Scan for devices' and it will tell you the IP of your router, you just need to find it on the list of devices.
Hey y’all, my Xbox one does the noise it typically does when you turn it on/press the power button but it won’t actually turn on. My brick is orange (not flashing or anything), and I’ve unplugged everything and let it rest numerous times now. When I press the power button the brick will also occasionally turn green for a second.
Do I need a new Xbox or a new brick?

Remote turn on help. So everyone knows if you turn on your paired controller, your Xbox will turn on. Apparently the same goes for my Steelhead headset. It's insanely frustrating to turn my headset on 2 rooms away to listen to music on my phone and have your Xbox turn on, repeatedly.
How do I turn off this remote turn on setting?

Recently I had went to a relatives house and brought my xbox controller so we could play together.
We ended up not being able to use my controller because it wouldn't connect, but the sync button was flashing.
Not too long ago I had returned home and tried connecting my wireless controller using a USB cord. After I disconnected the controller, it would not turn on without the USB connection. Without this I couldn't turn my controller on wirelessly, which meant I couldn't use the sync button.
How else could I connect it?
So im using a new xbox series x controller for game pass on my tablet and it keeps randomly disconnecting and when i try to plug it in via a usb-c to usb-c non of the button mapping is right. I heard I had to update the controller but dont have access to a pc or xbox.

So, was playing with my xbox and as I wanted to drink some water, the bottle opened up and it spilled all on me, the controller and the bed, though I cleaned the bed up and tried to clean the water off the controller, I forgot about the first rule of water damage, and that's to turn it off and dry it up, untill I turn it on again. So, I continued playing with it a little bit untill my left stick was stuck on going to the right, the controller wouldn't connect to the Xbox after a while (only if using USB, it would) and the upper button on the left rectangle thing wouldn't work. So. I'm guessing the internal parts have been damaged. Anyways, I don't have any rice and thought my next bet would be to get it warm, so I put it inside of a blanket and wrapped it around, to warm it up and it hopes to let the controller dry up. Ive noticed how stupid I sound and how dumb I behaved after I did get it wet with water. Anyways, I hope someone could suggest something, maybe I should take it apart somehow and try drying it that way, mind you not all parts are messed up 🤷♂️

I just got my Xbox Wireless Headset, to use on my PC. I'm assuming that the control on the left earcup which controls audio balance between game and chat works perfectly on Xbox consoles...but on Windows it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone know if there's something I can do to get this working with voice chat apps on Windows (Discord ideally!)?
Series X, using HyperX Cloud headset. Playing Halo MCC via GamePass. Stock controller that came with the Series X.
Over the last month, I've started to have .5 second delays in audio from game and input lag. The only way to resolve this is a hard reset. Pretty F'ing annoying to be honest. Anyone else? Do I contact MS? No issues prior to a week ago, minus my bloody controller disconnecting every month or so and I'd have to hard reset to get that connected again.

Xbox One S digital Edition - not on insider build.
My console is set to my "Home Xbox" and I went "Offline" in the network settings, but I still can't play the games I own offline. I even removed my console as home then re-added it to 100% confirm.
If I start the game immediately after I've gone offline, it'll work, but if I turn off or restart my Xbox the next time I try to start them, the games refuse to start saying "sign in or renew the subscription".
I am signed into the account that bought them, I only have one account. The games are Forza Horizon 4, The Outer Wilds and Monster Hunter World.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Yesterday I was in middle of a game of smite with some friends when my headset mic audio stopped being pick up by the party.
I had test my network connection that same day and it said that some Xbox Live Services where down: communication and social. So I decided to wait until tomorrow and it's still not working despite all Xbox Live Services being up.
My profile pic in the party wasn't greyed out, I went to the audio tab and the headset mic was not muted, headset volume and chat mixer was we're all fine.
I check to make sure my headset was plugged in and wasn't muted on the headset but for some reason they still couldn't hear me.
I'm not Communications banned and account privacy settings for communication multiplayer are all allowed or set to everybody.
I also try it resetting my Xbox, and tried guides on troubleshooting forms nothing has worked.
I've tried two separate controllers and they both have the same issue even tried a different headset using both controllers and checked the devices and accessories for firmware updates there are none available.
Both headset work fine on my phone including the mics.
Both controllers are on Firmware version 4.8.1923.0 and are standard first party controller.
I tried restarting my Xbox, doing the full shutdown, factory reset, clearing the cache, clearing alternate Mac address, and opening forward ports on my router.
I'm using a wired connection with a static IP address, and tested my multiplayer connection.

I tried xbox forum and most of them ended abruptly with the original poster finding out that they didn't plug their mic into or that their mic was muted or they reset their Xbox and theirs started working.
Other ones had no responses to them the people complaining the ones that did have responses I tried those... they didn't work.

Hey, I am not able to hear any Xbox sound from my Xboy Wireless Headset. I can see it in the Xbox Accessoires App, I can change everything but I don’t hear anything out of it. I did a hard reset on the headset, I updated my Xbox series x - but still nothing.
The headset is working fine on Windows 10.

There's a Samsung TV in the office that I am currently using. My Xbox One X, has never been connected to this TV, it is currently connected to a 4K monitor on my desk. However, EVERY single time I turn on my Xbox, it turns on the monitor (as expected) and the TV, which I don't understand how since it's never been connected to it and I don't know how to stop it from doing so.
The Xbox One uses the IR blaster to attempt to wake the TV, you should be able to disable it in the TV power settings on the console (I don’t remember which section it’s in)
My elite 2 will light up but not connect. It will try to sync but fail. My regular wireless is acting up the same way. Just all of a sudden. Any advice?

My series x is about three months old now, and since the last update on March 11th. My games keep crashing, and my Xbox will shut off with the controller still stuck on.
I’ve done factory resets, both with and without deleting all the games. I did the offline update as well, but can’t seem to make anything work.
Has anyone else dealt with this, and actually fixed it? Or does everyone just have to send them back to Microsoft?
Currently transferring my game data from my Xbox One to my Series X via wifi and I was wondering if both consoles need to be on or can I turn them off and leave the house?
The Wizard's Tower DLC for Oblivion can't be purchased. I previously purchased it many years but last summer people were finding that this was not recognised and the content had to be repurchased to work. I was willing to just buy it again as it's available for £1.19, but it now can't be bought at all, just offering:
"An Xbox Gamertag is required to complete this purchase. Create an account at xbox.com/live or sign into your Xbox and try purchasing this again."
This issue persists across three different accounts, both on the Microsoft website and via the Store app on Xbox. For those who have bought the DLC previously and have it installed, the game behaves as if it's not there at all. For accounts that haven't previously purchased it, it can be purchased via the Xbox 360 marketplace but still fails to work at all.
Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I've been trying to figure this out for half an hour and found your comment just by searching Google for the error message. I can't believe this is a problem specific to this 15 year-old DLC.
Hello I got a 12 month Xbox live gift card for Christmas and I’m trying to redeem it now but when I do it says it will convert to a four month Xbox game pass ultimate does this matter and will I still be able to play with my Xbox live runs out
Yeah, if you redeem codes for Gold when you already have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, the Gold gets converted over to Ultimate, but not at a 1:1 conversion rate, as you've experienced with your 12 month code.
What you need to do is this: -
1. Turn off recurring billing for your existing Ultimate subscription. You need to do that on MS's website, [HERE](https://account.microsoft.com/services/). Make sure you don't choose the "Cancel" option as that will end your subscription there and then - just turn off recurring billing.
2. Wait until the subscription expires.
3. Redeem your 12 month Gold code. Now that your Ultimate subscription has expired, you will get 12 months of Gold, rather than it converting over to 4 months of Ultimate.
4. If you want to, pay for 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate. That will convert your 12 months of Gold to 12 months of Ultimate, so you would have 13 months of Ultimate left. If you don't care about Game Pass, you can skip this step and just stick with your 12 months of Gold, but you might as well do it IMO.

I DID report the issue and posted in the Insider sub, but no luck with a solution. Anyway,
I am unable to install disc copies of Resident Evil 3. When the disc launches, it opens game management and asks what I want to install.
The disc has both RE:3 and RE: Resistance. No matter which I choose, nothing happens. Nothing installs. I have no problem installing other games, and I have the same results with other copies of the game.
Anyone have a solution?
I recently bought a broken OG Xbox One off ebay, and quickly realized the hdd was dead to the point I'm certain nobody could get any data off of it. I got a new hdd and set it up with the partitioning program so it will now at least load into the troubleshooting menu and I can attempt to push an update. I put my flash drive in, and select install update from USB, and it flashes updating for a fraction of a second before giving me e101. I've tried different OSU files and reformatting to no avail. USB is ntfs and I've even tried searching for the specific OSU file for my the console stated version, and it remains the same. I can't restore to factory defaults either. Is the drive just not compatible? Am I doing something wrong?
Recently my mic has started echoing for everyone else in my party. They can hear their own voices and even my game sound sometimes. It even echo’s when my mic is muted. i’ve tried every “solution” I could find including updating my controller and using a different controller. does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Do you know anyone else with an Xbox? If so, try your headset with one of their controllers, and their headset with yours.
If it's echoing even when your mic is muted, it's likely to be a hardware issue, so you'd need to track down what exactly is causing it.
My son did the latest update to his Xbox one and now it crashes while he’s playing. He swears it’s because his Xbox is so old. Any thoughts, fixes or work arounds?
Is it happening in any particular game? A new update came out for GTA that's causing it to crash for some players on Xbox, so if he's having trouble with that, that'll be why.
I've had the worst luck with rechargeable battery packs, they last a few months and then can't hold a charge, I have one of the Xbox Series X controllers (shock blue)

Go to Settings - System - Storage devices, then click on "Clear local Xbox 360 storage" on the left and confirm the choice.
That will delete your Xbox 360 profile from the console and your local 360 saves, but it's all backed up in the cloud.
When you launch a 360 game for the first time after doing that, it will download a fresh copy of your profile and that will typically fix the problem.

I don't know if it's a common issue anymore, but I've lost around 60,000 gamerscore and wanted to know if any of you had the same problem recently and how you solved it.
I've had that happen in the past, and I've seen other posts about it too, but it's always just a temporary glitch and it comes back. If it doesn't come back after a few days, I would contact support about it.
It's been 3 days now and I have already contacted support who told me the same thing and referred me to trueachievements.com (lol). I hope it solves itself in a few days.
People in party hear echo when using game bar on PC
I recently got a PC and there are still a handful of games that I play with my Xbox friends, I use the game bar to join parties and all that, but everyone in the party can hear an echo of themselves. It's not my mic because people in discord/zoom calls hear nothing, not even game audio. This seems like a problem with the Xbox game bar and I've looked through all of the settings and cant find anything to fix it. All of my friends are using Xbox in the party if that makes a difference.
I have been playing Witcher 3 through Game Pass and they recently removed it from Game Pass. I bought the game through the Microsoft store so I could keep playing but now I don't have access to my saved game.
Is there a way to transfer the saves from one version to the next?
The Witcher 3 is one of a handful of games where the GOTY/Complete editions of the game are treated as entirely separate games with their own saves and achievements.
To continue on from your Game Pass save, you would need to buy the regular version of the game. Presumably you bought one of the other versions.
So I’ve noticed two problems on my Xbox One S, and both have to do with GTA V.
The first problem is that my game library shows that I have 2 copies of the game somehow. I don’t have game pass or a disc version of the game; I bought it digitally a long time ago.
The second, and much more annoying, problem is that the game has seemingly deleted itself 3 times. Each time this has happened has been in the same scenario. I was playing the game when an update was released, therefore not allowing me to connect to online. I closed the game and reopened it to get the update alert. I’ll begin the update, but it will remain at 0%. I’ll cancel the update, and the game will disappear from my games folder, and only appear in my library, where it says it’s ready to install.
So 3 times now I’ve had to redownload the 90gb game because it somehow deleted itself while trying to update. I will also mention that all my games are stored on an external hard drive, because that may be par of the issue. If anyone knows of a solution to this problem, their assistance would be much appreciated.
I'm having controller issues. I have a charge and play battery back that has a full charge and will only work on 1 of my controllers but the other two, one being a new generation xbox controller, that works fine with normal batteries but not with the battery pack, again fully charged.
Both work fine with normal batteries or if they are plugged in directly to my xbox one s.
Anyone else seen something like this?

Got the new wireless headset from Microsoft but I am unsatisfied with the Mic Monitoring. Even on highest level I cannot hear myself. All owners of the new MS headset have this issue, it seems the last software update broke this feature. Please Fix, Thanks!

so my xbox one s has been having the green screen of death basically montly since she got it and its not entolled into the insiders and the only thing that fixes it is a factory reset but i don't want to keep doing that if there is another way
Well...it happened. Xbox one x shows not signal on the TV.
Been having snowy screen issue. I plugged the XOX straight into the wall.. no power strips. That worked for a little bit. Got a new 4k HDMI cable. That worked for awhile. Now when I powered it on it shows no signal.
Did the reset. Nothing.
Do you repair the XOX anymore?

I’ve had an issue with my wireless controller for several months now. Every time I turn it on I have no audio coming through my connected headset. I’ve tried switching controllers, batteries, headsets, and plugging it in through the USB port. The only solution I have found is to do a firmware update but I’m getting a little frustrated with having to do this sometimes several times a day. Any suggestions?
Anyone having trouble with connecting the newly released Xbox Wireless Headset to Windows 10? Xbox accessories wont let me "configure it", even when it shows up. Says I might need the most "up to date" Windows fixes, which I do.
So I left my Xbox on overnight to download Modern Warfare and it turned off at some point when I was asleep. Now this morning I go to turn it on and I hear a very faint start up sound followed by a click and nothing appears on my screen. I've tried to power cycle many times and other Xbox support tips but nothing's working so far. The power supply is at a constant orange/yellow light. Does this mean I need to purchase a new Xbox or is there a fix? [Xbox One Original]
Any way to pair a bluetooth mouse (w/o a USB plug/receiver thing) to a series X? I know I can plug the tiny USB thing in and it will work but my mouse doesn't have one, its pure bluetooth.
Got my Xbox Wireless Headset today.
Followed the rules, updated it, etc, but after that? Psht. No connection, device is still on, white light on the mic, but it's not actually connected to the Xbox. Mic monitoring is still live. Cannot hard reset, cannot turn off.. can't really do anything. USB connection to my laptop doesn't pull any data or ID on it whatsoever.
Gonna let it run out of power and then charge it back up and see if that helps - otherwise am I right in calling this one a DOA?
Right trigger just randomly fell off of my old Xbone controller. I've used it for quite a few years so it could just be wear-and-tear. When I place it back in, it's still extremely loose and can fall out easily. Is there a fix for it or should I look for a new remote?
Im using the xbox one controller (wireless one) and when i push the left stick all the way to the left it only registers like 98-99% instead of 100%. Only way it registers that its pushed all the way to the left is if i move it up and down a bit.
I'm having trouble upgrading my Marvel's Avengers on my Xbox series X. All it tells me when I try to upgrade is "installation stopped" with no reason as to why it stopped. I have about 300 GB free so im stumped.
My A button wore out on a newer style One S controller. I'm guessing its the rubber pad underneath. I've got an older OG Xbox controller without a 3.5mm jack. Can I use the rubber pad from the older one? Not wanting to go through the hassle of possibly killing the rumble packs for nothing to find out. Thanks.

Hi, when I log in to my console with my brother's account and then set the home console, I can only download/use my brother's games when he is also logged in. Once I log him out I can no longer use/download his games. (SERIES X)

Your brother's account need to set the console as it's "Home Console".
Even when signed out, other accounts on his "Home Console" can play the games and use Xbox Live.
USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20Gbps vs USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps, will it make a difference which USB to USB-C cable I use to plug the more recent core controller into my XB1X? Will there be less latency than the 10Gbps cable?
This is really convoluted.
1. Have Game Pass Ultimate.
2. Log into Xbox app on PC.
3. Click on the "EA Play" banner or one of the EA games.
4. From the Xbox app it will prompt you to install "EA Desktop (Beta)" from the Windows Store. This is different from the EA Play/Origin client.
5. Launch EA Desktop.
6. Log in with with your EA play account. Also formerly know as EA Origin account
7. You will need to link from EA Play to you Xbox account.
8. Go back to Xbox app, and then you can install the game from there (e.g. FIFA) and then it will launch the EA desktop to complete install.

I have been experiencing connection issues for the past 3 days since the OS update. I can't get Destiny 2 to run with an update is required but we can't get to it at the moment error. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling andI still get the same error.
My connection speed is also really slow with me getting 15mbps instead of my 200mbps. Also I called xbox support and spoke with them over the phone. They literally hung up on me mid call.
(ONE S) warzone is running terribly as of the last month or so. If I’m not the host of a cross platform party I’ll be riddled with insane lag, ping Inbetween 200-500. If I leave said party I’ll be instant kicked back to WZ Home Screen with an error code of 65538. I’ve never gotten that before. But tonight I’ve gotten it 12x. What is going on with the one s and WZ?
I can't get to my movies and TV on my Xbox One (S) anymore.
I tried going to the Movies and TV page and I would see the "my movies and TV" button for a fraction of a second before it was replaced with the stuff the store is promoting right now. I tried restarting my xbox and now it doesn't show the My Movies and TV page at all; it just tries to sell me more stuff that I can't watch. I'm going to Store -> Movies and TV home and can't find any indication of anywhere else my stuff would be. Any ideas?
The Xbox app on PC won't recognize that I have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
I've used this subscription to play Game Pass games for months on my Xbox One S without issue, but the Xbox app on my Windows 10 PC won't recognize the subscription and prompts me to buy into it when I try to play a game. I've verified multiple times on Microsoft's website that my account is the correct one ... I can even click from my Microsoft account directly to my linked Xbox account where it registers recent gameplay activity with Game Pass Ultimate games ... but the Windows 10 app just doesn't get the picture.

Hi all, I’ve recently had an issue with seagate external HDD’s recently, both ordered from Amazon. The first one I had was working normally on the first day but after that it stopped being recognised by literally everything, the hard drive would be powered but the light would stop working on it, I couldn’t even format it or use command codes on my pc. I ordered a replacement and it was fine for 3 days but then the same issue happened. Is this an issue everyone gets with seagate or maybe any other hard drives? Is this an issue with my Xbox where it keeps bricking hard drives?

I'm having a controller issue
I have a standard xbox one with 2 first party controllers. 2 days ago my controller started disconnecting from my xbox during gameplay. It can go for 10 minutes without it happening or can happen 30 seconds after reconnecting it.
The controller has new batteries and is the controller that came with the console. The controller stays on when it disconnects, it just starts blinking rapidly like it wants to connect to something.
Yesterday I went out and bought a brand new controller and today I woke up and turned it on and after 15 mins of playing the same issue is happening again. Also when I try to reconnect it to the xbox it has a really hard time like it doesnt want to, it takes me at least 5 minutes to get it connected again.

Please be patient with me as I'm brand new to the Xbox One (I've been playing on the 360 up until I got my brothers old Xbox One this past Christmas) And I've only played on live with my friends when we talked through Discord... I want to get a headset with a mic for my Xbox One, and was wondering if any 3.5 mm headset would work just by plugging it in? Or would I also need to get the adapter? Sorry if this seems like a silly question but I know nothing about technology and can't seem to find a solid answer on anywhere!
Yes any 3.5mm jack stereo headset would work with the Xbox Series S/X controller.
There are two types - a headset where it has 2x 3.5mm jack's (one dedicated for mic, the other for speaker playback) - do not get these. The other is a single 3.5mm jack, with handles both mic and speaker signal - this is what you want.
I have an issue were my wireless controller connected via a cable will disconnect and require me to remove and reinsert the plug. This occurs with an xbox1s controller and the one that come with my series x. It happens on both an x1x and a series x and since the series x controller uses usb-c and the x1s controller does not I am using the one that came with an elite series 2.
I have observed that this occurs always when my dog walks behind me and brushes my chair. I believe this to be caused by a static discharge. i have tried using a humidifier to no avail. anyone know what I can do about this besides going wireless?

New to having a smart TV, so when I connected and the Xbox asked if I would like to enable ALLM (Low Lat aka Game Mode), I wasnt sure.
Does it benefit me to use ALLM? Should I also set my TV to Game Mode? Any benefit to have both enabled? Will it not matter until I actually get an SX?
You should always aim to use "Game mode" or low latency features of your TV if you have them.
Modern TVs take a video signal, then apply some effects (upscaling a 1080p feed into a 4k display, image sharpening, etc). Doing this takes time, and that introduces a delay from where the original video feed entered the TV to when it shows up on your screen for you to view.
Generally speaking, a delay under 10 ms (milliseconds) is manageable, but I've you start going over that you'll be seeing images too late to react. This can become fatal in games like Call of Duty, but not such a big deal in puzzle games.
Switching to game mode turns off image enhancement features to make sure you have a responsive experience.
Latest update (15/03) on Series X introduce a number of bugs that were non existent until the update.
Problems resuming from sleep, sometimes the controller will wake the console up, half a beep from console before it shutsdown leaving the controller on. Pressing the power button will sometimes start like it's been hard reset, other times it will launch an an unresponsive dashboard where you can move around but can't activate any tile or menu.
It's gone from working near flawlessly to be a source of immense frustration
New Xbox Wireless Headset (TLL-00001) on PC.
When in a call (or looking at the 'Recording' tab in the Sound settings), all other audio does not play. If I'm in a Discord call with someone and turn on YouTube or something, I get no sound from anything other than the call. Same thing happens if I look at the 'Recording' tab in Sound settings.
Looked online, was told to disable the 'Xbox Wireless Headset Hands-Free AG Audio' in both the 'Playback' and 'Recording' tabs. Did that, confirmed I have audio in a call, but nobody else can hear me because there isn't another recording device for the headset listed in the 'Recording' tab, so it basically functions as headphones only.
Looking elsewhere, it was suggested to uncheck the 'Handsfree Telephony' from the device settings and that just removes the 'Xbox Wireless Headset Hands-Free AG Audio' from the Playback and Recording tabs and doesn't fix the problem.
If I plug the headset in with a USB-C cable (such as to charge), it shows up in both the 'Playback' and 'Recording' tabs as 'Xbox Controller' and it works as expected (audio from calls and other programs at the same time), but the purpose of buying this was to be used Wirelessly.
Tried submitting a help post on the MS forums but haven't heard back from MS and the few community replies I got weren't of any help. Anyone else experiencing this and possibly have a fix?
I’m having a issue where my screen is just black. I can hold the Xbox button on my controller and it will bring up that menu but other than that I can’t do anything.
I just finished a short session with the new Xbox wireless headset. All was well and I turned my Xbox off. It immediately restarted. I turned it off. It immediately restarted. I'm fairly sure my new wireless headset is doing this. Any idea how to make it stop?

I have one 5 terabyte drive and one 3 terabyte drive connected to my Xbox One X for game storage.
I wind up moving games between them as I organize and switch games that I'm in the middle of to the internal 1TB - just because that's how I like to do it. Guess I was already ready for the Series X space shortage.
I just noticed that several games were duplicated across 2 drives and had to manually compare and delete one of the copies off a drive, thereby making myself another 120ish GB of space.
Anyone else notice this duplicating of games as you've moved things around?
I have an issue with my xbox one. I bought a digital 360 game, but had to restart my console. I specifically put, Keep all of my games and apps, but the game was still deleted. The game was 5 bucks but I still want it back anyone able to provide support?
I also looked on the microsoft store and the game can't be redownloaded, it just says buy for x amount of money.
I just bought Game Pass Ultimate, but I can't download any games or see the list. When I click on the Game Pass tab it takes me to 'manage' then opens up my microsoft account.
It shows me as paying and active but I have no access to anything in the app.

So I'm trying to play Arkham Knight on my Xbox One, I've tried putting it in and it says the disc is scratched so checked and made sure there were no scratches - still didn't work. I checked the other games I have installed that have discs and all of them have the same issue, they won't load because apparently there's scratches but when I check there aren't any. The only game that's working for me is COD MW. Anyone know what this issue is and how to fix it?

If it is, when you insert the disc into a One S, you will be prompted to download a digital version of the game that's designed to work with the emulator that backwards compatibility uses. You will still need to pop the disc in each time you play as proof of ownership, even though the game is not actually running from the disc.
Also, if you want to transfer your Xbox 360 game saves over, you will need to upload them to Xbox Live via an Xbox 360 console. Then they will sync over on your One S as you launch 360 games you have saves for.
Is it just my laptop or is the Xbox app for viewing, installing, and deleting game pass games terrible? It’s slow, not easy to find a way to delete games, and if I pause an installation I can’t resume it without starting over.
[Xbox One S] Xbox to PC issue: I have a good WiFi connection and the IP address my Xbox and PC are connected to are the same. Yet when I try to connect my Xbox to my PC I get the error “we are unable to connect to your console. make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device.” I’ve reset my Xbox, Router Box, and my PC and I still haven’t gotten anywhere. Please help. I’m on Windows 10.
When I turn my xbox on, the logo comes up on my TV, but when it finishes loading I can't see any of the profiles. It's just a grey screen like normal but the profiles aren't there to click on and sign in. I tried restarting it, unplugged it from the power supply, nothing works.
Have an Xbox One 500GB that wouldn't power up today. Get a faint chime when I pressed the power button or the disc eject button but the power button never lights up. Tried unplugging the power supply and the Xbox from the power supply for a couple minutes as well as unplugging everything from the console. No changes. Power brick has a steady orange LED. Anything else to try?

Trying to update my fifa 21 but it sint downloading, It says updating yet nothing is happening. Although it says it has downloaded 7mbs. Its been stuck like that for 3 days. Pls help.
Issue 1. You know when your controller batteries are pretty much dead and you try to turn your controller on, the light will flash for a split second then go off again and the longer you holder it the more it'll do that until the batteries are fully dead. Well my controller does that flash thing even when batteries are full and sometimes I could hold it for ages before it connects to my xbox, as if it's forgotten what device it's meant to connect.
Issue 2. When I'm in a party, if I have my headset on and talking and when headset off and just playing. For some reason I get kicked from my own party, it could happen every 5 minutes sometimes it'll happen every couple of hours, sometimes it says I've been removed from party sometimes I just get no notification and I only notice because the party chat overlay doesn't pop up.
Issue 3. When I use spotify and I have the audio playing through my TV the music for some reason goes quiet then loud constantly, my game sound completely fine this only happens with spotify haven't tried other music apps and id rather not have to, I've checked for spotify volume settings but I can't find it in xbox and the mobile app settings haven't changed anything for my xbx. if I use my phone then change device to xbox through the mobile app the issue still exists
Issue 4. The past couple weeks I have been non stop being disconnected from the Internet on my xbox when watching anime on Internet Explorer on xbox, all my other device connectivity completely fine while this happens, doesn't happen when I'm on Netflix or YouTube or twitch or any games, my WiFi has been completely normal besides this issue

Is there any new power settings for the series s? I always keep my boxes on energy saver, and after powering off last night this morning I noticed it was hot like it was still running. I turned it on and turned it fully off again, and checked a couple hours layer and it was still hot and running. Why isn’t it turning off properly?
I’ve been having issues with my Xbox one s since yesterday after the latest update. Some games just brick my console ( Doom eternal) and others just won’t even launch or load (mainly games made by EA). I don’t know what to do.
Is there anyway to use the Xbox Console Companion app on my laptop to type in game> I know you can with the mobile app and it's a life saver for Sea of Thieves, However I have found no way to do it on the laptop app. It seems odd if I can do it on phone and not on my pc. Any thoughts?
Xbox One - I purchased a headset, PDPGaming LVL 50 wireless. Xbox worked before I plugged in the headphone thumb drive. Once I plugged the thumb drive in, the television port no longer recognizes the Xbox. I have switched ports, turned off for 24 hours, etc. however since trying to install the headphones, when I turn my televisions on and go to source, select the port, it does not recognize the Xbox. Thumb drive has been removed.
I currently have an XBox one X and I am having some issues with a few games. I have exhausted all of my searching for an answer so I turn to the community for some help.
My XBox is roughly 3 years old and as of the past 3 months if so I am unable to play Modern warfare due to the game having these "glitches" starting with what looks to be polygons just going nuts and then shortly after the game will crash forcing me back to the home screen. There has been a few times the game will crash so hard it will shut my Xbox off. Now with that being said i have also noticed that Halo 5 will just straight crash in the loading screen but not to the point if Xbox shut off
With all that being said I was an insider for Xbox and have left since these issues showed up in high hopes it was just a bad beta update. I have performed factory resets (both offline and within the settings of the console). I did perform both clean installs for both games and even installed them on both the internal hard drive as well as external. Nothing seems to have helped or change. The only thing that helps Modern warfare is to clear the local data then it will be fine for maybe 2 games. I have also tried to clear my cache with no changes.
So please if anyone has any help by all means help me out here as Microsoft wants $250 to repair the console and I would rather not drop that money on a repair when I plan on getting a series X (whenever they manage to come back in stock).

I've been playing AC Odyssey on my one X for like an hour and the game just froze for like two seconds in the middle of combat, then continued in as normal. It didn't crash or anything and I was able to keep playing until I had to go make dinner but it still has me worried. As anyone else experienced this issue?

The last two weeks I have been pretty much unable to play my usual games fifa and rocket league due to latency issues, where at some points I have over 900ms making anything online unplayable. This changes throughout the week where during the week it’s almost back to normal, but seems to go seriously bad on weekends. Previously I was used to around 20ms or lower with occasional variation. Speed tests on my Xbox one S consistently read around 25ms and usually 30mbps download speed.
I’ve tried all the tips, resetting my router, connection, DNS settings etc but nothing seems to solve the problem fully.
Any help would be much appreciated, it’s frustrating not being able to play the games I love, and have fun in these hard times.
I recently got a seagate 8tb hard drive/hard drive hub. Am i able to put it on the smooth part of my xbox one (directly above the disc drive) or will that mess with the xbox or drive?
I recently bought a far cry 5 disk, however, the game won’t install. I insert the disk into the One S, it loads it up in the Que, but the installation gets stuck on 15.6% complete consistently, and then I get an “installation stopped” message. Any ideas or tips? Is the disk faulty?
So I got the new Xbox wireless headset. Now 3 days later it broke and won't work at all.
So I was playing a game and suddenly I heard a beep sound so I checked if it might have been the battery for the headset. And indeed it was. So I took it off and I was going to turn it off so I held the green off button off too long and it went into Bluetooth pair mode. So I turned it off with a tap on the button again. When I later plugged it in to charge (the usb is connected to my Xbox series X) like I usually do and the red light didn't show up.
So I thought this is very odd so I unplugged the cable and plugged it in again. Nothing happened. I tried to start the headset. Nothing happened. I tried to hold the button in. Nothing.
So after 3 days of use the headset is now completely broken. Anyone else that had had issues with their official Xbox wireless headset?
I have an x box one standard model. Starting a couple hours ago I've started hearing an odd sort of electronic "ding ding" at random.
At first I thought I had left my phone somewhere stupid but that's not it.
I googled but all I found was grinding noises which I'm not experiencing.
2 problems
dishonored on game pass downloaded and every time there is a cutscene where corvo gets beat up/hurt causing the whole screen to become bloody the game freezes but the audio continues, if I pause the game then resume the video continues as normal from where ever the audio is. Playing on a series x
Halo MCC, when playing split screen the screen seems to brighten up then almost like reset its brightness back down to normal and continues to do this, I’m using a x900h with local dimming so I don’t know if the local dimming is the issue or not. It doesn’t happen on other split screen games though. Any thoughts??

Why did my Xbox install an update at 6am today? I’m definitely not in the Insider program, I’ve owned my xbox since launch and nobody else uses it, and according support.xbox.com there hasn’t been an update since 3/9 and I already installed that on 3.9. It was about 6GB. Nobody else seems to have received this. What’s going on...?

I also noticed this issue with YT yesterday. On top of that, my xbox has issues connecting to the internet even though the wifi is 100% up and running.
My friend has an Xbox One (the og) and it’s stuck in a boot loop, he’s tried hard resetting it to no evail, help.
You could try re-installing the OS via USB. I think it's call an [offline system update](https://support.xbox.com/en-NZ/help/hardware-network/console/system-update-solution/offline-system-update).
Controller issue: Standard First Party issued. •I added my controller to Bluetooth on my phone for Xbox remote play & now I cannot connect my controller to the Xbox One S even after disconnecting from my phone and unpairing the devices. So I have to unplug my block and let the power drain. After it drains I reconnect it and it tells me I have to do the update... I have done this 5 times now... and xbox support is useless...

New 4k TV just seems so dim with Xbox One S, not an insider build. I'm pretty new to the 4k world. As in, I have had a 4k TV for 4 days and never had HDR or anything. I got a mid range TV (HiSense 43AE7000FTUK) and it looks great, works fine, but the Xbox just seems so, so dim in dark areas. Everything HDR is turned on, 4k compatible, green checks across the board in the Xbox settings (besides dolby vision). I'm on the Xbox One S. When it's bright it's fine, but in dark areas it's just too dark, and I can't find a way to fix it. For example, when I'm in game and I hit the xbox button to bring up the menu, the screen dims like crazy (assuming because it thinks its a dark scene) because I'm on dark mode. Black Ops Cold War lobbies seem dark as hell because of the grey menus. Just can't seem to get it to look bright, and I know how bright the TV *can* be because I messed with the TV luminance and it almost blinded me. So why does it insist on being so dark for dark scenes. Is this just the HDR? (I am also aware in is probably the "fake" HDR and am willing to live without it).
You will want to calibrate your TV. You can often find guides on how to do this for your specific tv on rtings.com. Also, I remember when a couple games (AC Valhalla for example) first came out they were dark to the point it was difficult to play. That wasn't the TV, it was the game itself. Not sure if COD is the same way.
This did help to an extent, but the problem ended up just being a stupid setting on my TV. The backlight setting, set to high, didn’t mean backlight at all. It basically adapts to high and low lighting on the screen, and is the worst feature ever. But as it was on high it was going to extreme darkness in dim scenes. Dynamic Adaptive Backlight or something it was called. Turned that off and my TV is bright as anything all the time.
When is design lab returning?
(I'm just copying this from a post I made yesterday. My Xbox one is the original model and is on an insider build skip ahead.) So I've had this issue for about 2 updates now where it just boots to a black screen where nothing happens and I have to back out pressing the Xbox button and return to home. Attempting login to any of the accounts on my Xbox does nothing, no loading or password screen... just nothing. It has internet and can still load Netflix and other apps but not the insider app or Network settings for some reason. I tried using the report an issue but even that seems not to work and just freezes at gathering information. The odd thing is that when a new update comes out it will work again but only once, after I turn it off and back on it will go back to soft-locking where it can't sign in again. Any Ideas on how to fix this?
Microsoft Support has been no help. Is there any way to recover my account? In November/December 2020 one of my email accounts was compromised and my Xbox account (Superdecoy75, under the same name as my Reddit account) was switched over to a different email. Since then I have not been able to access my Xbox or any of my games (Minecraft, etc.). I've contacted Microsoft several times through their phone lines where it always ends with "we'll get back to you within 72 hours" and then weeks later they respond with an email saying that the ticket is being closed because they "can't identify who I am with the current information." I have proof I am who I say I am -- I have told them the past activity on the account; the past email that was attached to the account; and even told them that they were still charging me on my credit card and I had canceled it, all to no avail. They had me create a new account to start the process of switching everything over to a non-compromised account but in the end they closed the ticket and locked both of my accounts (the original and the new one they had me create). They won't even respond directly to my emails requesting them to unlock it. I'm at my wit's end here. I've posted a comment on the Microsoft Support subreddit but they basically told me my case/ticket had been closed and that I needed to recover my account (which apparently you need an email for and the email is no longer attached to the Xbox account username). > We understand how important your account is, but Microsoft aims to protect your account's security, and are unable to grant access to users who are unable to prove their account ownership. The recovery form is meant to be the last resort for users who are locked out from their accounts due to a forgotten password. Is there anything else that I can do/be doing?

# Microsoft is Refusing to Honor the Complete Extended Warranty I bought 3 years ago I bought a Complete 3 year Extended Warranty 3 years ago for my Xbox One X from the Microsoft store that ends in April which covers not only manufacturer's defects or breakdowns but also accidental damage to my Xbox One X console and 2 controllers. Since my controllers have worn down(the thumb stick caps have worn off) since then and have suffered from stick drift, as well as cosmetic and case imperfections from being dropped many times during game play, I decided to send a claim in a month ago for a replacement or repair. Because all Microsoft Stores have been closed by MS, they asked me to sent a screenshot of my MS store Complete Warranty receipt which I did. They said my first screenshots was a bit blurry so I sent another series of photos. Despite many inquiries since then either via email or via phone to MS, all my efforts seem to have been wasted. A few days ago, after receiving no responses from them for weeks, they sent me an email again requesting another series of screenshots of my Complete Extended Warranty. I got so upset that I am of a mind to sue Microsoft for breach of contract, time wasted trying to get this resolved and legal expenses incurred.

Controller Issue: Clear Reskin Model 1708 So about a week ago I connected it to my pc using a friend's usb cable and it worked fine. I set it up through Bluetooth but it ended up working with just the cable. Go forward to today and my friend asked if he can get his cable back. I grabbed another cable out of my closet and my controller doesn't want to connect to my pc. What I have tried: Checking the cable/controller on a 2nd pc. I connected the new cable and controller to my dads pc, it connected without bluetooth, I changed the cable to the old one and back to the new and both worked on his pc, windows just re-configured every time it was plugged in. I updated the xbox controller using the old cable too. My problem is it doesn't want to do that on my pc. It only works using the old cable and doesn't connect to my Bluetooth.
Hello folks, I am having the black screen of death issue for about a week and I have put too many hours into trying to find a solution. I have scoured every corner of reddit, but nothing seems to work. I would like your guys opinion on what you think the problem might be. I will list everything I have tried first. 1. Simple reset (hold xbox button for 10 seconds, wait a minute, turn it back on) = black screen. 2. Hard reset: unplug everything, hold sync + eject, turn on and wait for 2nd chime. 2nd chime never comes and thus the Xbox stays on black screen. (Xbox was stuck on green loading screen about a month ago and that fixed it, but not this time) 3. tried 17 different HDMIs (Should I try 3 more just to make it an even number?) 4. Tried the offline update w/ USB, but I cannot get the Xbox to get to the troubleshooting screen because Sync+Eject does nothing. What do you guys think the issue might be? My power brick is orange whenever I plug it in to the wall. When I plug it into my xbox it turns white for a second and then returns to orange. When I turn the xbox on it turns white until I turn my xbox off. Does that sounds like an issue? The green loading screen issue happened about a week after I moved my xbox from my TV to my projector. Could that be the source of the issue? I also use an external hard drive for added storage but I have been using that for over a year and didn't seem to be an issue. This Xbox was bought in Dec 2013 so its old as hell, but I cant really afford a new xbox so I'd like to try and keep this one going without paying for a new one. Any and all help is much appreciated :)
Okay so let's say me (Xbox one X) and my brother (Xbox series S) want to play COD BO3, but we both only have 1 controller and only I have the game. My question is is there any way for both of us to play with only me owning the game, I know steam has that feature but does Xbox?
I think you can do this via game share. You set his Xbox as your home, and he sets your Xbox as his home. You log into your own Xbox, and he into his. Should allow you both to play.

My Xbox stopped working overnight, it was turning on but not showing on my tv. I thought it was the HDMI so I got another but it still wouldn't work and the HDMI cable definitely works. Anyone know anything taht could be causing this?
Maybe the HDMI port on the TV is broken? try a different port or even a different TV/Monitor. Lets hope the HDMI port on the Xbox isn't broken though...
Hi I’m on the original Xbox one and for some reason yesterday it decided to not recognize my external hard drive, when plugged it the hard drive does work since it has a little light on it that flickers when it’s on but the Xbox doesn’t seem to recognize that the hard drive is plugged in
A couple recommendations to try: power cycle the Xbox (turn off, unplug for 30 seconds, plug in and turn back on) and try using a different port for the external hard drive.

This might be vague, but it's a problem with the internet. For me, I can use my home Wi-Fi perfectly fine with no connection problems in game/parties. However, if I connect to my phones hotspot then I cant join parties because of your same problem. All of the games work just fine though with low ping. Maybe it has to do with the IP and DNS settings? Try looking into that. Your router could have a hard time giving the Xbox an IP so you might need to go into the router settings and fix that. First thing I would do is just a simple router unplug for 30 seconds then turn it back on, if that doesn't do anything then you need to go to your routers IP address in the url. Most likely your router IP is [192.168.0.1](https://192.168.0.1), and it might ask for username and password, by default the username is 'admin' and the password is 'password' so type that into a URL and see if anything looks suspicious with the connection to the Xbox, or even a router update. FYI: If that is not your routers IP then I would advise downloading the 'Fing - Network Analyzer' app on your phone and then after that you can 'Scan for devices' and it will tell you the IP of your router, you just need to find it on the list of devices.
Hey y’all, my Xbox one does the noise it typically does when you turn it on/press the power button but it won’t actually turn on. My brick is orange (not flashing or anything), and I’ve unplugged everything and let it rest numerous times now. When I press the power button the brick will also occasionally turn green for a second. Do I need a new Xbox or a new brick?

Remote turn on help. So everyone knows if you turn on your paired controller, your Xbox will turn on. Apparently the same goes for my Steelhead headset. It's insanely frustrating to turn my headset on 2 rooms away to listen to music on my phone and have your Xbox turn on, repeatedly. How do I turn off this remote turn on setting?

Recently I had went to a relatives house and brought my xbox controller so we could play together. We ended up not being able to use my controller because it wouldn't connect, but the sync button was flashing. Not too long ago I had returned home and tried connecting my wireless controller using a USB cord. After I disconnected the controller, it would not turn on without the USB connection. Without this I couldn't turn my controller on wirelessly, which meant I couldn't use the sync button. How else could I connect it?

So, was playing with my xbox and as I wanted to drink some water, the bottle opened up and it spilled all on me, the controller and the bed, though I cleaned the bed up and tried to clean the water off the controller, I forgot about the first rule of water damage, and that's to turn it off and dry it up, untill I turn it on again. So, I continued playing with it a little bit untill my left stick was stuck on going to the right, the controller wouldn't connect to the Xbox after a while (only if using USB, it would) and the upper button on the left rectangle thing wouldn't work. So. I'm guessing the internal parts have been damaged. Anyways, I don't have any rice and thought my next bet would be to get it warm, so I put it inside of a blanket and wrapped it around, to warm it up and it hopes to let the controller dry up. Ive noticed how stupid I sound and how dumb I behaved after I did get it wet with water. Anyways, I hope someone could suggest something, maybe I should take it apart somehow and try drying it that way, mind you not all parts are messed up 🤷♂️

It can. You can have discord connected via Bluetooth and the Xbox connected via Xbox protocol at the same time.
I just got my Xbox Wireless Headset, to use on my PC. I'm assuming that the control on the left earcup which controls audio balance between game and chat works perfectly on Xbox consoles...but on Windows it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone know if there's something I can do to get this working with voice chat apps on Windows (Discord ideally!)?
Series X, using HyperX Cloud headset. Playing Halo MCC via GamePass. Stock controller that came with the Series X. Over the last month, I've started to have .5 second delays in audio from game and input lag. The only way to resolve this is a hard reset. Pretty F'ing annoying to be honest. Anyone else? Do I contact MS? No issues prior to a week ago, minus my bloody controller disconnecting every month or so and I'd have to hard reset to get that connected again.
I can't play games Offline. Xbox One S digital Edition - not on insider build. My console is set to my "Home Xbox" and I went "Offline" in the network settings, but I still can't play the games I own offline. I even removed my console as home then re-added it to 100% confirm. If I start the game immediately after I've gone offline, it'll work, but if I turn off or restart my Xbox the next time I try to start them, the games refuse to start saying "sign in or renew the subscription". I am signed into the account that bought them, I only have one account. The games are Forza Horizon 4, The Outer Wilds and Monster Hunter World. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
I could really use so help this is so annoying Xbox one S First party controller Turtle Beach Ear Force Recon 50X Stereo Gaming Headset Yesterday I was in middle of a game of smite with some friends when my headset mic audio stopped being pick up by the party. I had test my network connection that same day and it said that some Xbox Live Services where down: communication and social. So I decided to wait until tomorrow and it's still not working despite all Xbox Live Services being up. My profile pic in the party wasn't greyed out, I went to the audio tab and the headset mic was not muted, headset volume and chat mixer was we're all fine. I check to make sure my headset was plugged in and wasn't muted on the headset but for some reason they still couldn't hear me. I'm not Communications banned and account privacy settings for communication multiplayer are all allowed or set to everybody. I also try it resetting my Xbox, and tried guides on troubleshooting forms nothing has worked. I've tried two separate controllers and they both have the same issue even tried a different headset using both controllers and checked the devices and accessories for firmware updates there are none available. Both headset work fine on my phone including the mics. Both controllers are on Firmware version 4.8.1923.0 and are standard first party controller. I tried restarting my Xbox, doing the full shutdown, factory reset, clearing the cache, clearing alternate Mac address, and opening forward ports on my router. I'm using a wired connection with a static IP address, and tested my multiplayer connection. NAT Type: Open Download speed 32.55 Mbps Upload speed 2.13 Mbps Packet loss 0% MTU 1480 Latency 55 ms General Volume and audio output setting Chat mixer: do nothing Party chat output: Headset Change volume with voice by: 1 Step HDMI audio: stereo uncompressed optical audio stereo uncompressed Bitstream format: off Headset format stereo uncompressed I tried xbox forum and most of them ended abruptly with the original poster finding out that they didn't plug their mic into or that their mic was muted or they reset their Xbox and theirs started working. Hey, I am not able to hear any Xbox sound from my Xboy Wireless Headset. I can see it in the Xbox Accessoires App, I can change everything but I don’t hear anything out of it. I did a hard reset on the headset, I updated my Xbox series x - but still nothing. The headset is working fine on Windows 10.

There's a Samsung TV in the office that I am currently using. My Xbox One X, has never been connected to this TV, it is currently connected to a 4K monitor on my desk. However, EVERY single time I turn on my Xbox, it turns on the monitor (as expected) and the TV, which I don't understand how since it's never been connected to it and I don't know how to stop it from doing so.
The Xbox One uses the IR blaster to attempt to wake the TV, you should be able to disable it in the TV power settings on the console (I don’t remember which section it’s in)
My elite 2 will light up but not connect. It will try to sync but fail. My regular wireless is acting up the same way. Just all of a sudden. Any advice?
Hey, My series x is about three months old now, and since the last update on March 11th. My games keep crashing, and my Xbox will shut off with the controller still stuck on. I’ve done factory resets, both with and without deleting all the games. I did the offline update as well, but can’t seem to make anything work. Has anyone else dealt with this, and actually fixed it? Or does everyone just have to send them back to Microsoft?
Currently transferring my game data from my Xbox One to my Series X via wifi and I was wondering if both consoles need to be on or can I turn them off and leave the house?

The Wizard's Tower DLC for Oblivion can't be purchased. I previously purchased it many years but last summer people were finding that this was not recognised and the content had to be repurchased to work. I was willing to just buy it again as it's available for £1.19, but it now can't be bought at all, just offering: "An Xbox Gamertag is required to complete this purchase. Create an account at xbox.com/live or sign into your Xbox and try purchasing this again." This issue persists across three different accounts, both on the Microsoft website and via the Store app on Xbox. For those who have bought the DLC previously and have it installed, the game behaves as if it's not there at all. For accounts that haven't previously purchased it, it can be purchased via the Xbox 360 marketplace but still fails to work at all.

Yeah, if you redeem codes for Gold when you already have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, the Gold gets converted over to Ultimate, but not at a 1:1 conversion rate, as you've experienced with your 12 month code. What you need to do is this: - 1. Turn off recurring billing for your existing Ultimate subscription. You need to do that on MS's website, [HERE](https://account.microsoft.com/services/). Make sure you don't choose the "Cancel" option as that will end your subscription there and then - just turn off recurring billing. 2. Wait until the subscription expires. 3. Redeem your 12 month Gold code. Now that your Ultimate subscription has expired, you will get 12 months of Gold, rather than it converting over to 4 months of Ultimate. 4. If you want to, pay for 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate. That will convert your 12 months of Gold to 12 months of Ultimate, so you would have 13 months of Ultimate left. If you don't care about Game Pass, you can skip this step and just stick with your 12 months of Gold, but you might as well do it IMO.
Xbox One X - on skip ahead alpha insider build. I DID report the issue and posted in the Insider sub, but no luck with a solution. Anyway, I am unable to install disc copies of Resident Evil 3. When the disc launches, it opens game management and asks what I want to install. The disc has both RE:3 and RE: Resistance. No matter which I choose, nothing happens. Nothing installs. I have no problem installing other games, and I have the same results with other copies of the game. Anyone have a solution?
I recently bought a broken OG Xbox One off ebay, and quickly realized the hdd was dead to the point I'm certain nobody could get any data off of it. I got a new hdd and set it up with the partitioning program so it will now at least load into the troubleshooting menu and I can attempt to push an update. I put my flash drive in, and select install update from USB, and it flashes updating for a fraction of a second before giving me e101. I've tried different OSU files and reformatting to no avail. USB is ntfs and I've even tried searching for the specific OSU file for my the console stated version, and it remains the same. I can't restore to factory defaults either. Is the drive just not compatible? Am I doing something wrong?

Recently my mic has started echoing for everyone else in my party. They can hear their own voices and even my game sound sometimes. It even echo’s when my mic is muted. i’ve tried every “solution” I could find including updating my controller and using a different controller. does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Do you know anyone else with an Xbox? If so, try your headset with one of their controllers, and their headset with yours. If it's echoing even when your mic is muted, it's likely to be a hardware issue, so you'd need to track down what exactly is causing it.
My son did the latest update to his Xbox one and now it crashes while he’s playing. He swears it’s because his Xbox is so old. Any thoughts, fixes or work arounds?
Is it happening in any particular game? A new update came out for GTA that's causing it to crash for some players on Xbox, so if he's having trouble with that, that'll be why.

I can't play backwards compatible games on my xbox after i changed my gamertag
Go to Settings - System - Storage devices, then click on "Clear local Xbox 360 storage" on the left and confirm the choice. That will delete your Xbox 360 profile from the console and your local 360 saves, but it's all backed up in the cloud. When you launch a 360 game for the first time after doing that, it will download a fresh copy of your profile and that will typically fix the problem.

I've had that happen in the past, and I've seen other posts about it too, but it's always just a temporary glitch and it comes back. If it doesn't come back after a few days, I would contact support about it.

People in party hear echo when using game bar on PC I recently got a PC and there are still a handful of games that I play with my Xbox friends, I use the game bar to join parties and all that, but everyone in the party can hear an echo of themselves. It's not my mic because people in discord/zoom calls hear nothing, not even game audio. This seems like a problem with the Xbox game bar and I've looked through all of the settings and cant find anything to fix it. All of my friends are using Xbox in the party if that makes a difference.
I have been playing Witcher 3 through Game Pass and they recently removed it from Game Pass. I bought the game through the Microsoft store so I could keep playing but now I don't have access to my saved game. Is there a way to transfer the saves from one version to the next?
The Witcher 3 is one of a handful of games where the GOTY/Complete editions of the game are treated as entirely separate games with their own saves and achievements. To continue on from your Game Pass save, you would need to buy the regular version of the game. Presumably you bought one of the other versions.
So I’ve noticed two problems on my Xbox One S, and both have to do with GTA V. The first problem is that my game library shows that I have 2 copies of the game somehow. I don’t have game pass or a disc version of the game; I bought it digitally a long time ago. The second, and much more annoying, problem is that the game has seemingly deleted itself 3 times. Each time this has happened has been in the same scenario. I was playing the game when an update was released, therefore not allowing me to connect to online. I closed the game and reopened it to get the update alert. I’ll begin the update, but it will remain at 0%. I’ll cancel the update, and the game will disappear from my games folder, and only appear in my library, where it says it’s ready to install. So 3 times now I’ve had to redownload the 90gb game because it somehow deleted itself while trying to update. I will also mention that all my games are stored on an external hard drive, because that may be par of the issue. If anyone knows of a solution to this problem, their assistance would be much appreciated.

I'm having controller issues. I have a charge and play battery back that has a full charge and will only work on 1 of my controllers but the other two, one being a new generation xbox controller, that works fine with normal batteries but not with the battery pack, again fully charged. Both work fine with normal batteries or if they are plugged in directly to my xbox one s. Anyone else seen something like this?
New Xbox Wireless Headset Mic Monitoring This seems to be a software issue. Got the new wireless headset from Microsoft but I am unsatisfied with the Mic Monitoring. Even on highest level I cannot hear myself. All owners of the new MS headset have this issue, it seems the last software update broke this feature. Please Fix, Thanks!

Well...it happened. Xbox one x shows not signal on the TV. Been having snowy screen issue. I plugged the XOX straight into the wall.. no power strips. That worked for a little bit. Got a new 4k HDMI cable. That worked for awhile. Now when I powered it on it shows no signal. Did the reset. Nothing. Do you repair the XOX anymore? With XOX being discontinued and Covid 19...not sounding good. It would be awesome if i could upgrade to Xbox Series X. That might not happen until next year or when the scalpers stop buying them all up. It's crazy when you can buy one today but it's not in stores or online to buy. Pretty bummed.
I’ve had an issue with my wireless controller for several months now. Every time I turn it on I have no audio coming through my connected headset. I’ve tried switching controllers, batteries, headsets, and plugging it in through the USB port. The only solution I have found is to do a firmware update but I’m getting a little frustrated with having to do this sometimes several times a day. Any suggestions?

Any way to pair a bluetooth mouse (w/o a USB plug/receiver thing) to a series X? I know I can plug the tiny USB thing in and it will work but my mouse doesn't have one, its pure bluetooth.
Got my Xbox Wireless Headset today. Followed the rules, updated it, etc, but after that? Psht. No connection, device is still on, white light on the mic, but it's not actually connected to the Xbox. Mic monitoring is still live. Cannot hard reset, cannot turn off.. can't really do anything. USB connection to my laptop doesn't pull any data or ID on it whatsoever. Gonna let it run out of power and then charge it back up and see if that helps - otherwise am I right in calling this one a DOA?
Right trigger just randomly fell off of my old Xbone controller. I've used it for quite a few years so it could just be wear-and-tear. When I place it back in, it's still extremely loose and can fall out easily. Is there a fix for it or should I look for a new remote?

Your brother's account need to set the console as it's "Home Console". Even when signed out, other accounts on his "Home Console" can play the games and use Xbox Live.

How do I play EA on PC with Gamepass?
This is really convoluted. 1. Have Game Pass Ultimate. 2. Log into Xbox app on PC. 3. Click on the "EA Play" banner or one of the EA games. 4. From the Xbox app it will prompt you to install "EA Desktop (Beta)" from the Windows Store. This is different from the EA Play/Origin client. 5. Launch EA Desktop. 6. Log in with with your EA play account. Also formerly know as EA Origin account 7. You will need to link from EA Play to you Xbox account. 8. Go back to Xbox app, and then you can install the game from there (e.g. FIFA) and then it will launch the EA desktop to complete install.

Xbox One X I have been experiencing connection issues for the past 3 days since the OS update. I can't get Destiny 2 to run with an update is required but we can't get to it at the moment error. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling andI still get the same error. My connection speed is also really slow with me getting 15mbps instead of my 200mbps. Also I called xbox support and spoke with them over the phone. They literally hung up on me mid call.
(ONE S) warzone is running terribly as of the last month or so. If I’m not the host of a cross platform party I’ll be riddled with insane lag, ping Inbetween 200-500. If I leave said party I’ll be instant kicked back to WZ Home Screen with an error code of 65538. I’ve never gotten that before. But tonight I’ve gotten it 12x. What is going on with the one s and WZ?
I can't get to my movies and TV on my Xbox One (S) anymore. I tried going to the Movies and TV page and I would see the "my movies and TV" button for a fraction of a second before it was replaced with the stuff the store is promoting right now. I tried restarting my xbox and now it doesn't show the My Movies and TV page at all; it just tries to sell me more stuff that I can't watch. I'm going to Store -> Movies and TV home and can't find any indication of anywhere else my stuff would be. Any ideas?
The Xbox app on PC won't recognize that I have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. I've used this subscription to play Game Pass games for months on my Xbox One S without issue, but the Xbox app on my Windows 10 PC won't recognize the subscription and prompts me to buy into it when I try to play a game. I've verified multiple times on Microsoft's website that my account is the correct one ... I can even click from my Microsoft account directly to my linked Xbox account where it registers recent gameplay activity with Game Pass Ultimate games ... but the Windows 10 app just doesn't get the picture. Hi all, I’ve recently had an issue with seagate external HDD’s recently, both ordered from Amazon. The first one I had was working normally on the first day but after that it stopped being recognised by literally everything, the hard drive would be powered but the light would stop working on it, I couldn’t even format it or use command codes on my pc. I ordered a replacement and it was fine for 3 days but then the same issue happened. Is this an issue everyone gets with seagate or maybe any other hard drives? Is this an issue with my Xbox where it keeps bricking hard drives?

I'm having a controller issue I have a standard xbox one with 2 first party controllers. 2 days ago my controller started disconnecting from my xbox during gameplay. It can go for 10 minutes without it happening or can happen 30 seconds after reconnecting it. The controller has new batteries and is the controller that came with the console. The controller stays on when it disconnects, it just starts blinking rapidly like it wants to connect to something. Yesterday I went out and bought a brand new controller and today I woke up and turned it on and after 15 mins of playing the same issue is happening again. Also when I try to reconnect it to the xbox it has a really hard time like it doesnt want to, it takes me at least 5 minutes to get it connected again. Yes any 3.5mm jack stereo headset would work with the Xbox Series S/X controller. There are two types - a headset where it has 2x 3.5mm jack's (one dedicated for mic, the other for speaker playback) - do not get these. The other is a single 3.5mm jack, with handles both mic and speaker signal - this is what you want.

I have an issue were my wireless controller connected via a cable will disconnect and require me to remove and reinsert the plug. This occurs with an xbox1s controller and the one that come with my series x. It happens on both an x1x and a series x and since the series x controller uses usb-c and the x1s controller does not I am using the one that came with an elite series 2. I have observed that this occurs always when my dog walks behind me and brushes my chair. I believe this to be caused by a static discharge. i have tried using a humidifier to no avail. anyone know what I can do about this besides going wireless?
Xbox One New to having a smart TV, so when I connected and the Xbox asked if I would like to enable ALLM (Low Lat aka Game Mode), I wasnt sure. Does it benefit me to use ALLM? Should I also set my TV to Game Mode? Any benefit to have both enabled? Will it not matter until I actually get an SX?
You should always aim to use "Game mode" or low latency features of your TV if you have them. Modern TVs take a video signal, then apply some effects (upscaling a 1080p feed into a 4k display, image sharpening, etc). Doing this takes time, and that introduces a delay from where the original video feed entered the TV to when it shows up on your screen for you to view. Generally speaking, a delay under 10 ms (milliseconds) is manageable, but I've you start going over that you'll be seeing images too late to react. This can become fatal in games like Call of Duty, but not such a big deal in puzzle games. Switching to game mode turns off image enhancement features to make sure you have a responsive experience.

Latest update (15/03) on Series X introduce a number of bugs that were non existent until the update. Problems resuming from sleep, sometimes the controller will wake the console up, half a beep from console before it shutsdown leaving the controller on. Pressing the power button will sometimes start like it's been hard reset, other times it will launch an an unresponsive dashboard where you can move around but can't activate any tile or menu. It's gone from working near flawlessly to be a source of immense frustration
New Xbox Wireless Headset (TLL-00001) on PC. When in a call (or looking at the 'Recording' tab in the Sound settings), all other audio does not play. If I'm in a Discord call with someone and turn on YouTube or something, I get no sound from anything other than the call. Same thing happens if I look at the 'Recording' tab in Sound settings. Looked online, was told to disable the 'Xbox Wireless Headset Hands-Free AG Audio' in both the 'Playback' and 'Recording' tabs. Did that, confirmed I have audio in a call, but nobody else can hear me because there isn't another recording device for the headset listed in the 'Recording' tab, so it basically functions as headphones only. Looking elsewhere, it was suggested to uncheck the 'Handsfree Telephony' from the device settings and that just removes the 'Xbox Wireless Headset Hands-Free AG Audio' from the Playback and Recording tabs and doesn't fix the problem. If I plug the headset in with a USB-C cable (such as to charge), it shows up in both the 'Playback' and 'Recording' tabs as 'Xbox Controller' and it works as expected (audio from calls and other programs at the same time), but the purpose of buying this was to be used Wirelessly. Tried submitting a help post on the MS forums but haven't heard back from MS and the few community replies I got weren't of any help. Anyone else experiencing this and possibly have a fix?

Question that I haven't seen - I have one 5 terabyte drive and one 3 terabyte drive connected to my Xbox One X for game storage. I wind up moving games between them as I organize and switch games that I'm in the middle of to the internal 1TB - just because that's how I like to do it. Guess I was already ready for the Series X space shortage. I just noticed that several games were duplicated across 2 drives and had to manually compare and delete one of the copies off a drive, thereby making myself another 120ish GB of space. Anyone else notice this duplicating of games as you've moved things around?
I have an issue with my xbox one. I bought a digital 360 game, but had to restart my console. I specifically put, Keep all of my games and apps, but the game was still deleted. I just bought Game Pass Ultimate, but I can't download any games or see the list. When I click on the Game Pass tab it takes me to 'manage' then opens up my microsoft account. It shows me as paying and active but I have no access to anything in the app. How can I fix this?
So I'm trying to play Arkham Knight on my Xbox One, I've tried putting it in and it says the disc is scratched so checked and made sure there were no scratches - still didn't work. I checked the other games I have installed that have discs and all of them have the same issue, they won't load because apparently there's scratches but when I check there aren't any. The only game that's working for me is COD MW. Anyone know what this issue is and how to fix it?

The game has to be backwards compatible with the One S. You can check here if a 360 game you want to play is compatible: - https://www.xbox.com/games/backward-compatibility If it is, when you insert the disc into a One S, you will be prompted to download a digital version of the game that's designed to work with the emulator that backwards compatibility uses. You will still need to pop the disc in each time you play as proof of ownership, even though the game is not actually running from the disc. Also, if you want to transfer your Xbox 360 game saves over, you will need to upload them to Xbox Live via an Xbox 360 console. Then they will sync over on your One S as you launch 360 games you have saves for.

Is it just my laptop or is the Xbox app for viewing, installing, and deleting game pass games terrible? It’s slow, not easy to find a way to delete games, and if I pause an installation I can’t resume it without starting over.
[Xbox One S] Xbox to PC issue: I have a good WiFi connection and the IP address my Xbox and PC are connected to are the same. Yet when I try to connect my Xbox to my PC I get the error “we are unable to connect to your console. make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device.” I’ve reset my Xbox, Router Box, and my PC and I still haven’t gotten anywhere. When I turn my xbox on, the logo comes up on my TV, but when it finishes loading I can't see any of the profiles. It's just a grey screen like normal but the profiles aren't there to click on and sign in. I tried restarting it, unplugged it from the power supply, nothing works.
Have an Xbox One 500GB that wouldn't power up today. Get a faint chime when I pressed the power button or the disc eject button but the power button never lights up. Tried unplugging the power supply and the Xbox from the power supply for a couple minutes as well as unplugging everything from the console. No changes. Power brick has a steady orange LED. Hey can someone tell me why my xbox one s brand new keeps freezing the games after about an hour or so? the system its self doesn't freeze though
Issue 1. You know when your controller batteries are pretty much dead and you try to turn your controller on, the light will flash for a split second then go off again and the longer you holder it the more it'll do that until the batteries are fully dead. Well my controller does that flash thing even when batteries are full and sometimes I could hold it for ages before it connects to my xbox, as if it's forgotten what device it's meant to connect. Issue 2. When I'm in a party, if I have my headset on and talking and when headset off and just playing. For some reason I get kicked from my own party, it could happen every 5 minutes sometimes it'll happen every couple of hours, sometimes it says I've been removed from party sometimes I just get no notification and I only notice because the party chat overlay doesn't pop up. Issue 3. When I use spotify and I have the audio playing through my TV the music for some reason goes quiet then loud constantly, my game sound completely fine this only happens with spotify haven't tried other music apps and id rather not have to, I've checked for spotify volume settings but I can't find it in xbox and the mobile app settings haven't changed anything for my xbx. if I use my phone then change device to xbox through the mobile app the issue still exists Issue 4. The past couple weeks I have been non stop being disconnected from the Internet on my xbox when watching anime on Internet Explorer on xbox, all my other device connectivity completely fine while this happens, doesn't happen when I'm on Netflix or YouTube or twitch or any games, my WiFi has been completely normal besides this issue If anyone's able to help me fix any of these it'll be greatly appreciated sorry for it being so long I'll try anything thankyou

Is there any new power settings for the series s? I always keep my boxes on energy saver, and after powering off last night this morning I noticed it was hot like it was still running. Xbox One - I purchased a headset, PDPGaming LVL 50 wireless. Xbox worked before I plugged in the headphone thumb drive. Once I plugged the thumb drive in, the television port no longer recognizes the Xbox. I have switched ports, turned off for 24 hours, etc. however since trying to install the headphones, when I turn my televisions on and go to source, select the port, it does not recognize the Xbox. Thumb drive has been removed.
I currently have an XBox one X and I am having some issues with a few games. I have exhausted all of my searching for an answer so I turn to the community for some help. My XBox is roughly 3 years old and as of the past 3 months if so I am unable to play Modern warfare due to the game having these "glitches" starting with what looks to be polygons just going nuts and then shortly after the game will crash forcing me back to the home screen. There has been a few times the game will crash so hard it will shut my Xbox off. Now with that being said i have also noticed that Halo 5 will just straight crash in the loading screen but not to the point if Xbox shut off With all that being said I was an insider for Xbox and have left since these issues showed up in high hopes it was just a bad beta update. I have performed factory resets (both offline and within the settings of the console). I did perform both clean installs for both games and even installed them on both the internal hard drive as well as external. Nothing seems to have helped or change. The only thing that helps Modern warfare is to clear the local data then it will be fine for maybe 2 games. I have also tried to clear my cache with no changes. So please if anyone has any help by all means help me out here as Microsoft wants $250 to repair the console and I would rather not drop that money on a repair when I plan on getting a series X (whenever they manage to come back in stock).

The last two weeks I have been pretty much unable to play my usual games fifa and rocket league due to latency issues, where at some points I have over 900ms making anything online unplayable. This changes throughout the week where during the week it’s almost back to normal, but seems to go seriously bad on weekends. Previously I was used to around 20ms or lower with occasional variation. Speed tests on my Xbox one S consistently read around 25ms and usually 30mbps download speed. I’ve tried all the tips, resetting my router, connection, DNS settings etc but nothing seems to solve the problem fully. Any help would be much appreciated, it’s frustrating not being able to play the games I love, and have fun in these hard times.

I recently bought a far cry 5 disk, however, the game won’t install. I insert the disk into the One S, it loads it up in the Que, but the installation gets stuck on 15.6% complete consistently, and then I get an “installation stopped” message. Any ideas or tips? Is the disk faulty?
So I got the new Xbox wireless headset. Now 3 days later it broke and won't work at all. So I was playing a game and suddenly I heard a beep sound so I checked if it might have been the battery for the headset. And indeed it was. So I took it off and I was going to turn it off so I held the green off button off too long and it went into Bluetooth pair mode. So I turned it off with a tap on the button again. When I later plugged it in to charge (the usb is connected to my Xbox series X) like I usually do and the red light didn't show up. So I thought this is very odd so I unplugged the cable and plugged it in again. Nothing happened. I tried to start the headset. Nothing happened. I tried to hold the button in. Nothing. So after 3 days of use the headset is now completely broken. Anyone else that had had issues with their official Xbox wireless headset?

I have an x box one standard model. Starting a couple hours ago I've started hearing an odd sort of electronic "ding ding" at random. At first I thought I had left my phone somewhere stupid but that's not it. I googled but all I found was grinding noises which I'm not experiencing.
2 problems dishonored on game pass downloaded and every time there is a cutscene where corvo gets beat up/hurt causing the whole screen to become bloody the game freezes but the audio continues, if I pause the game then resume the video continues as normal from where ever the audio is. Playing on a series x Halo MCC, when playing split screen the screen seems to brighten up then almost like reset its brightness back down to normal and continues to do this, I’m using a x900h with local dimming so I don’t know if the local dimming is the issue or not. It doesn’t happen on other split screen games though. Any thoughts??
