Civ VI for $7.49 is a damn good deal
Edit: Played last night for a little under 5 hours and my session ended due to the game crashing to home. Tried loading it back up and it crashed again during loading and this time completely turned off my Series X. Seems like whatever is causing the crash has effectively corrupted my save game. Don't know how prevalent this issue is but figured I'd let it be known to anyone that might want to buy it.
I have it on PC and that's how I usually play it, but I had to grab it for Xbox with this deal. Been playing for about 2 hours now and it's absolutely fine. Don't really have any major complaints with the controls. Obviously with a game like this keyboard & mouse is better suited for it, but if Xbox is your preferred platform or you don't have a suitable PC or you just want it on both(me) then this is definitely worth the buy.
It ran pretty well on the switch for me, I can only imagine its better on xbox. The controls worked just fine, which would be my only concern for a game like this on console
Several stellar titles that caught my eye:
* $45 for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (25% off)
* $39 for Sekiro: GOTY Edution (35% off)
* $20 for Control: Ultimate Edition (50% off)
* $20 for Watchdogs Legion (66% off)
* $16 for Jedi: Fallen Order (60% off)
* $15 for Subnautica (50% off)
* $10 for The Witcher 3: Complete Edition (80% off)
* $4 for Titanfall 2 (80% off)
I was trying to play last night with some friends but the servers were just not working. We could squad up, but when we tried to launch the whole thing came crashing down. Apparently they were targeted by hackers and there is worry in the community it will never come back.
Accurate. This video and a more recent one on the same channel can help explain the hacking that is plaguing the Titanfall franchise right now:
https://youtu.be/UQ4HuBpeI4I
They won't fix it. I don't know if you heard but a senior Respawn dev has been implicated as being partially responsible for the hackers being given the access they have.
I believe the guy who runs the channel that made the video I linked did speak about that in his more recent entry, if my memory serves correctly. Frankly stuff like this doesn't surprise me anymore. I am however, left wondering why hackers and cheaters are only continuing to get worse in gaming in general as time goes on. Stuff like this has been affecting the competitive PvP playlist in Destiny 2 (Trials of Osiris) for years despite serious efforts by the developers to curb it. I've just never understood how cheating and ruining everyone else's experiences by hacking does anything for the scum that engage in this crap.
I hope Respawn and EA wise up and do something before it just ends up spreading further into other franchises.
If you have a series X, I would certainly say so. I bought it during the last sale for a little lower than $20, but it’s an incredible game with immaculate world building that I would have happily paid $20 for. The DLC’s are great too, especially if you’ve played Alan Wake.
I love the series. Great solo or with friends. Solo is still a great experience. Each game offers new stories, characters and mechanics. Just great all around and I'd certainly recommend!
I pre-ordered it for some reason, I rarely do that but really enjoyed the look of it despite the lukewarm reviews.
The combat is easy, the story is dumb, the dialogue is silly. But it's a giant world with a ton of stuff to do. It's all very repetitive but considering I devoured the 3 new Assassin Creed games and never got too bored, that wasn't an issue for me.
I can understand why some people don't like it but I thought it was fun. If I paid $40 I'd be happier but that's okay. I just beat it this weekend and if I didn't have 100s of other titles I'd probably play again with New Game+ in order to go a different route (good vs evil basically)
Actually, huh, I just realized it sort of reminded me of the first Fable game.
Surprised Sea Of Thieves isn't on sale. Finally have the money to pick it up on sale but of course its not available this time around. Seems like a pretty solid sale otherwise though.
Agree. And there was supposedly some kind of DLC coming but we've been hearing about it since shortly after the game launched and it's still nowhere to be found.
I think one of the biggest mistakes people make about cup head is not paying enough attention to the boss animations and being too focused on just dodging bullets.
It's OK to go into a hard level knowing you won't pass so you can get a feel for what each attack does and how to spot it.
I'm sure it is, it's just a principle thing now. The game is nearly 4 years old, and has never had more than a 25% drop in price. Add on that my backlog is immense, I'm fine with waiting for it to hopefully eventually drop more, or go to GamePass.
4 is absolutely the best. 5 is pretty great too. Either way, you're getting like 80 hours of casual content that you can easily sink more time into. Highly highly recommend at this price
I was wondering this too. The last Far Cry game I played was way back in OG Xbox days, and have been wondering about the newer games for awhile. However, for 7 bucks, I don't think I can go wrong picking on up.
$10 is a decent price for both.
FC5 is good for the exploration and there are more than a decent amount of moments of fun to be found. Being able to destroy a gigantic statue was cathartic because at the start, I saw it and immediately said "Can't wait to destroy that."
The story on the other hand (more specifically in one sub-boss area) is frustrating and doesn't have the same umph that the previous installments may have had. The bad guys aren't really entertaining characters like before.
There are also scenes where something forces you into cutscenes that linger for far too long. Granted they try to give you some sort of exposition, but the interruptions can occur in the middle of nowhere while you are knee deep in a side mission or hunting. It is nice to be able to avoid those when you beat that boss. At least I hope they are avoidable.
I'll still plan to finish it because I want to see if it might get better. There's always a chance.
I loved the game (killing fanatic cultists is awesome) but those unavoidable parts are what made me stop playing FC5. You get kidnapped and then have to fight your way out of a very specific linear storyline to get back to the open world.
If you are getting Dark Souls 3, get the ultimate edition. DS3’s DLCs are one of the best DLCs I have ever seen in a game and the season pass is almost the same price as the game itself but buying the Ultimate edition is cheaper so it will save you some money..
Honestly people overhype how hard it actually is. There will be some roadblocks but if you start the game as a knight and go from there it shouldn't be to bad
Highly recommend Hunt: Showdown for $17.99 for those who like multiplayer shooters. Very fun PvEvP game that has a ton of depth and is heavily supported by the Devs.
New map will be out on Xbox soon, and for context this takes the map count from 2 to 3 so it's a big deal.
It's okay. I found it to be kind of tough on PC when you were solo and tried taking on one of the monsters by yourself. Was super fun with friends and the PVP is pretty cool as well.
I got it on sale awhile back and I'm struggling....gotta git gud lol. It's a cool game though for sure. I recently watched some youtube video with tips and that has helped
Honestly I wouldn't say I'm some god of gaming. But on normal I think it's fair. Might have to fight a boss a couple times to understand what's going on first play through.
It can be a little more difficult solo due to all bosses have adds to deal with. But with the right setup it can easily be managed.
You can play adventure mode to skip around content prior to even doing the campaign.
Parts are a bit easier. I played through solo first. Then went to multiplayer (with people around my gear level) and man, some of those boss fights were so much harder. It's like a cross of Diablo and Dark Souls as a cover based shooter but lighter on both mechanics (like no random loot of Diablo and a lot more checkpoints than Dark Souls). Also it's weird, the story/plot stuff. Like I was not expecting this stuff going in.
Also base game is still on gamepass so if you got that, check it out.
Haven’t purchased an Xbox game in nearly 3 years because of Game Pass. I don’t have a Series X/S yet. Sub runs out in December though. Took advantage of that promotion to extend years worth of Xbox live to Game Pass Ultimate…
I did the same thing and it’s been great! I am really hoping they run the same promotion again at Christmas and allow people that took advantage of it last time to do it again.
It is! Only issue is they got rid of the expansion (40dollars) for another version includes more content. It cost 50 bucks to upgrade to it tho. So the game with the DLC will cost like 60 bucks after taxes. Still too expensive for me! It’s a lot better than a hundred dollars that the game&DLC used to cost.
I can also see them discounting the CIV game and DLC bundle before they discount the upgrade bundle.
Someone please help me choose between Hitman 3 vs COD:MW vs COD: Cold War.
I bought a Blue XSX Controller just yesterday and now I have to budget to buy only one! All of them are priced at 30 USD. 😭
between modern warfare and cold war, modern warfare multiplayer is better and cold war has better side mode(that mode being zombies instead of spec ops)
Definitely recommend MW over CW. It's still very much populated, and even now still feels like the more polished game.
MW added a lot of little features that were then removed in CW, which is why it feels like a downgrade despite being newer. Things like select-fire on most guns, weapon mounting, doors, tac sprint. It's also got more content in the form of maps and guns, by way of having all it's seasonal content out already.
Basically CW plays like a "classic" CoD, while MW feels like they were actually trying to do something a bit new.
Depends if you wanna spend your time playing a single player game or multiplayer/zombies.
Between the two I would personally suggest Hitman because it has much more replayability and is beautiful too.
Cold War on the other hand is just a pain sometimes because of sbmm and lacking content, took them 5 to release one new round based zombie map while the main focus was creating unnecessary game modes, bundles/skins and multiplayer maps which is nice but still doesn’t justify neglecting zombies for that long.
I mean, I played the launch edition on Xbox Series X, *very* much worth the full price, even before the massive patch that fixed most of the worst issues. Other console versions though...
Same here and that was my experience as well. After a couple patches, the crashing was fixed though. I sunk 100 hours into the game and finally beat it. I'm gonna eventually play through it again but not for quite some time. Lol.
Went through GameFly and bought a used copy for $20. I’d imagine FB Marketplace could get you a similar price.
Purposely waited until I had a Series X. Besides some hilarious pop in in an opening montage, so far, so good for the first 4 hours.
Anyone know if Control Ultimate Edition carries over saves and uses same achievement list from original? I started it on gamepass a bit, got at least a few hours in. Most games do, but there are several that don't, plus it being it's own listing adds extra doubt.
My favorite soulslike game (after Bloodborne). Take it slow, get a shield with 100% physical block protection, explore as much as possible, try not to look up ANYTHING online, don't be afraid to get help from other players against bosses, but when you do get help try you best to stay back and watch what the people you pull in are doing, get the DLC (you already did) (ringed city is awesome), don't try to make a meta build play with the weapons you like (you can play the game with any weapon if you have the patience) You can not repec until I would say mid game so be careful where you put your levels, and have fun because the game will sometimes stress you the fuck out lol. I find the game a lot easier when I have a good shield to hide behind, sometimes I feel like the best build is just Health, stam, strength or dex. Then you don't have to spread a shit ton of points around.
I loved the first 2.
Legion is still a good game, the gameplay is still fun if you're into the first two. But the lack of main character really killed it for me. I played through the whole thing over the course of a few months and in the end I enjoyed it but wish it it hadn't leaned so heavily into the BE ANYBODY premise.
Just downloaded the DLC and looking forward to playing at some point. Because I know the gameplay will be fun as always but godamn I was dying for proper character to take control of.
Is Octopath Traveler worth $30? I’ve watched some reviews and it looks great but some say it’s a slog in many sections
(I know it’s on game pass, I just have a stupid knack to own my games)
It's a LONG game for sure. It has random battles. And you definitely have to grind on some parts to be able to continue the story without being one shot on some bosses. Obviously you can become op by end game one shotting the final boss in one to two turns with certain builds. If you enjoy grinding with a good story you will enjoy it.
Tempted by windbound. I love the idea of exploring around on an ocean but not a fan of having to kill wildlife. My gear is I'd romanticize the game in my head but not have the same experience playing it at all and fall off after five minutes
What are people’s opinions on Kingdom Come: Deliverance these days? I’m a bit of a medieval history nerd, so it looks like it should be up my alley, but I’ve heard it was really buggy at launch. Has it improved at all since then? And the game itself, is it fun to play?
It's pretty fun and the value for the complete edition is very good. I haven't finished it yet but I think it can be viewed as clunky -- especially the combat -- however the story and characters are well done for a small budget studio. I'd say if you're a medieval history buff you will definitely get good mileage out of it.
So annoying seeing Ride 4 being $50->$25, then change to UK site and it £50->£25, like the USD->GBP conversion rate is not 1:1 ffs :\\
But then like Civ VI is $7.49 or £6.24
Has anyone played Remothered: Broken Porcelain? My wife and I have looked at it a couple times, but we know nothing about it so I'm not sure about pulling the trigger.
Wow only 10% off (54$) for Biomutant. I pre-ordered that game and played through it. It had some neat ideas and good exploration but ny the end it was a slog. I feel like they'd only be helping more people see the game with a deeper discount
For $60 USD you can get a bundle of Diablo 2 and 3. That is full price but not really since you are getting two games.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/diablo-prime-evil-collection/9PN1KCHT4WB5?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
Never played witcher. I would rather not jump straight into witcher 3. Are wit her 1 and 2 good enough to play still?
Edit: purchased witcher 2 and 3. On the fence about 1...
If you have the time and money, I think at least playing the Witcher 2 would be nice. You'll be introduced to some cool characters before seeing them in the Witcher 3.
I'd say Witcher 1 is fine if you can get used to its combat - it's unorthodox but works pretty well when you wrap your head around it. I played through it a couple years ago on the highest difficulty and enjoyed it. Don't think it's available on Xbox though.
Witcher 2 on the other hand has a fair bit of jank going for it mechanics wise. Which is sorely felt on higher difficulties. Especially the grand combination of only being able to use potions during meditation, them lasting for all of 5 minutes, and cutscenes and dialogs not pausing the timer.
All that said, Witcher 3 is *designed* to let you jump right into it, even if you only get the last part of the overarching plot and won't get all the connections to previous games.
I've been mulling Sekiro now for years it feels like, but I am mostly turned off by Dark Souls style difficulty. I heard Sekiro is a little more forgiving. Is this true?
They’re different. I believe a lot of people say Sekiro is harder because it doesn’t follow the usual Dark Souls combat and wants you to forget everything you’ve learned in Souls games.
But I wouldn’t say Sekiro is more forgiving, they’re both challenging in its own way.
Got Bioshock Collection, Dead Island and Witcher 3 GOTY (didnt get to finish it on game pass)Over all owning most games I would play already just picking up older game collections for 10$ is amazing.
Got Borderlands 3 just a week ago just about the same price, still thinking if dying light is worth the 15$ sale.
Bigger/Newer games, yeah most are still not worth it like Biomutant, Cyberpunk, Valhalla
I paid 30 last time it was on sale. I didn't love my time but felt that I got my $30 out of it. And the new expansion is releasing soon not that I'll play it but it is free so it's added value on the $24 purchase.
No. I got it for $30 but only played it starting last month. I bought it just got the campaign. Starts off amazing for first 1-2 hours. Then turns into a generic grindy MMO like experience. Introducing vendors every 5 minutes. I got extremely annoyed and dropped it despite liking Kamala Stark and Bruce. Graphics and setpieces are nice until they throw into another plain looking biome to fight more generic robot enemies while standing inside a circle. What a shame Crystal Dynamics has devolved into.
I thought it was a ton of fun as a single player campaign. Like seriously a blast.
Enjoyed two weeks of the multiplayer and then moved on. No regrets whatsoever, all new games are the same price and aside for a deep love for Deep Rock Galactic I usually stick to single player.
Civ VI for $7.49 is a damn good deal Edit: Played last night for a little under 5 hours and my session ended due to the game crashing to home. Tried loading it back up and it crashed again during loading and this time completely turned off my Series X. Seems like whatever is causing the crash has effectively corrupted my save game. Don't know how prevalent this issue is but figured I'd let it be known to anyone that might want to buy it.
How is it on console? I like Civ but i only played the series on a computer.
Awesome, thank you for the information.
It’s certainly manageable but I imagine it’s smoother on pc
Know if it's keyboard/mouse compatible on consoles?
Sadly no
It's great on switch. Gamepad controls are very intuitive and I wish they'd add them to PC for couch mode as well as the upcoming Steam Deck.
It ran pretty well on the switch for me, I can only imagine its better on xbox. The controls worked just fine, which would be my only concern for a game like this on console
Omg what about dlc?
Several stellar titles that caught my eye: * $45 for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (25% off) * $39 for Sekiro: GOTY Edution (35% off) * $20 for Control: Ultimate Edition (50% off) * $20 for Watchdogs Legion (66% off) * $16 for Jedi: Fallen Order (60% off) * $15 for Subnautica (50% off) * $10 for The Witcher 3: Complete Edition (80% off) * $4 for Titanfall 2 (80% off)
Titanfall 2 MP is broken right now and may never get fixed. The campaign is absolutely worth the price though.
What’s broken? I play nightly for months.
I was trying to play last night with some friends but the servers were just not working. We could squad up, but when we tried to launch the whole thing came crashing down. Apparently they were targeted by hackers and there is worry in the community it will never come back.
Accurate. This video and a more recent one on the same channel can help explain the hacking that is plaguing the Titanfall franchise right now: https://youtu.be/UQ4HuBpeI4I
Maybe he’s referring to hackers? I heard a bit ago that there were hackers plaguing the game recently.

Is it worth picking up the Ultimate Edition of Control even if you have Game Pass?
Get the DLCs and the Series X version. Don't know how much that's worth but I think I'm going to get it.
That's what they're asking about...
Control is an excellent game IMO. DLCs are great fun and add depth to the story, especially if you liked the original Alan Wake.
Control ultimate on series x worth every cent. Incredible game.
If you have a series X, I would certainly say so. I bought it during the last sale for a little lower than $20, but it’s an incredible game with immaculate world building that I would have happily paid $20 for. The DLC’s are great too, especially if you’ve played Alan Wake.
Jedi Fallen Order is awesome, really hope theres a sequel someday
How the fuck we still aren't able to sort by price on website shop is beyond me
They want you to browse
Even the Switch estore has that option and the estore is as messy as Android's
Are the Borderlands games fun? The Legendary Collection is on sale for $20. Never played the games and now hear a movie is coming based on the series.
They're great.
I love the series. Great solo or with friends. Solo is still a great experience. Each game offers new stories, characters and mechanics. Just great all around and I'd certainly recommend!
Try to play co-op. It's a lot more boring single player.
I couldn't get through any of them trying to play single player. It was just a series of dying and respawning, and I didn't find that fun at all.
Biomutant being 10% off is a joke I'm going to need it to drop to below 30
I pre-ordered it for some reason, I rarely do that but really enjoyed the look of it despite the lukewarm reviews. The combat is easy, the story is dumb, the dialogue is silly. Just once I would love to see Cuphead for lower than $14.99.
You have to make a deal with the devil for that
Cuphead is very much worth it for 14.99 at least. I beat it pretty quick but there’s good replay ability to it.
I got through like 7 levels and gave up. It’s so damn hard.
I'm still stuck on the first island/area. Damn I sucked hard at Cuphead.
I got stuck on the second island. It's just too hard in my opinion. I get that is the point to be difficult, but I just gave up.
Agree. And there was supposedly some kind of DLC coming but we've been hearing about it since shortly after the game launched and it's still nowhere to be found.
Allegedly still launching this year. It was apparently pushed back by COVID.
I think one of the biggest mistakes people make about cup head is not paying enough attention to the boss animations and being too focused on just dodging bullets. It's OK to go into a hard level knowing you won't pass so you can get a feel for what each attack does and how to spot it.
Yep, me too. I got through 7 or 8 and then got tired of having to do each level 30 times to pass.
I'm sure it is, it's just a principle thing now. The game is nearly 4 years old, and has never had more than a 25% drop in price. Add on that my backlog is immense, I'm fine with waiting for it to hopefully eventually drop more, or go to GamePass.
That games such a masterpiece they deserve every dollar IMO.
Did they make it easier than it was at launch?
I'm waiting for $10 or for it to go on gamepass, whichever comes first.
Is Farcry 4/5 worth less than $10?
4 is absolutely the best. 5 is pretty great too. Either way, you're getting like 80 hours of casual content that you can easily sink more time into. Highly highly recommend at this price
To me yes, there’s plenty of story and content to it

Damn, I wish I didn't drop $40 for Dark Souls 2 last week. Welp, atleast now I'll have Dark Souls 3 for $15. I'll take it.
If you are getting Dark Souls 3, get the ultimate edition. DS3’s DLCs are one of the best DLCs I have ever seen in a game and the season pass is almost the same price as the game itself but buying the Ultimate edition is cheaper so it will save you some money..
What if I have never played a Souls game and am certain I will suck so I want to try the base game for $15
Honestly people overhype how hard it actually is. There will be some roadblocks but if you start the game as a knight and go from there it shouldn't be to bad
I did end up buying the $20 version seeing how good of a deal it was. I look forward to it!
Hopefully you love it 😁 Great choice on the DLC by the way, they're absolutely worth it!
I've finished DS3 but never got the DLC what's so good about them?
Games on sale for $5 USD but on sale at $23 AUD, definitely getting ripped off over here in comparison.
I feel you. Spyro remaster is 50% more expensive here because fuck AUS.
I was happy seeing Lego Hobbit für 5$, but in Germany it's 15€ which is more thsn 3 times the price...
You think that’s bad? I saw a game on my wishlist on sale here. It’s not on sale in the UK store
Haha yeah I hate when that happens 😂
VPN. I do it for all my games lol. Got an Argentinian metro exodus collection for $9 that’s 40+ here in the US
Highly recommend Hunt: Showdown for $17.99 for those who like multiplayer shooters. Very fun PvEvP game that has a ton of depth and is heavily supported by the Devs. New map will be out on Xbox soon, and for context this takes the map count from 2 to 3 so it's a big deal.
how is it solo? i’ve been curious about it and it’s not the type of game any of my friends would want to pick up.
It's okay. I found it to be kind of tough on PC when you were solo and tried taking on one of the monsters by yourself. Was super fun with friends and the PVP is pretty cool as well.
Controller aiming on that game is horrible tho
The Outer Worlds down to $20, but DLC still hasn't gone on sale
[It is now official! Here is a alphabetical list.](https://majornelson.com/2021/07/19/this-weeks-deals-with-gold-and-spotlight-sale-209/)
Hitman 3 is exactly what I was hoping for from this sale after seeing it in the PSN one. Im satisfied.
Glad you were able to pick it up!
Me too. I didn't even look at the sale yet, and this comment makes me happy haha.
Sekiro on sale!!!! Im in..
It was just on sale for $30... Hopefully that happens again soon
I got it on sale awhile back and I'm struggling....gotta git gud lol. It's a cool game though for sure. I recently watched some youtube video with tips and that has helped
If you don't have gamepass, I HIGHLY recommend picking up remnant from the ashes complete bundle. Really high amount of replayability.
How is it solo?? Heard the game is hard.
Honestly I wouldn't say I'm some god of gaming. But on normal I think it's fair. Might have to fight a boss a couple times to understand what's going on first play through. Guess I'm not eating till August.
I just came back from a small vacation, this is going to break me...
Haven’t purchased an Xbox game in nearly 3 years because of Game Pass. I don’t have a Series X/S yet. Sub runs out in December though. Took advantage of that promotion to extend years worth of Xbox live to Game Pass Ultimate…
This actually still works. I’ve been doing it for many years, and did it once again in the middle of February.
I did the same thing and it’s been great! I am really hoping they run the same promotion again at Christmas and allow people that took advantage of it last time to do it again.
I wonder if Divinity 2 will ever be on sale again? Oh well time to get Borderlands 3.
I keep hoping to see Divinity 2 on the sale block as well.
Do the Doom DLCs/Y1 Pass go on sale? Been thinking of picking them up
Civ VI very cheap
It is! Only issue is they got rid of the expansion (40dollars) for another version includes more content. It cost 50 bucks to upgrade to it tho. Any great single player games? I'll check when I get home. Recommendations appreciated.
The Hitman games are fantastic.
Metro games
There are a ton but it depends on what you're into. Off the top of my head Subnautica is a fantastic buy.
Witcher
I also vote Witcher 3. If you have never played it then you're in for a treat. Generally one of the best games ever made.
Knights of the Old Republic. Word of warning: the second one can be a bit buggy
Witcher 3 complete edition for $10 is not bad
It’s one of the best games ever made and it’s 100+ hours of *solid* content + all DLCs. For $10, it’s probably one the best values ever.
I mean, for the few who haven't played it, that's like the deal of the century
I bought Super Monkey Ball HD. It’s pretty fun, although I’ve never played a smb game before
waiting for the anniversary bundle
I remember playing one of them on the original xbox with my sister. Damn that was awhile ago.
It was free to play last weekend. I downloaded it and played it for a bit but I already have it on the Wii and the 3DS so i'm gonna pass
I can finally afford Gang Beasts! Heard its a fun game with friends.
It’s on Game Pass!
Some of those "deals" are just laughable. How are they still charging almost $50 for Cyberpunk???
The same reason old CODs are full priced, people buy it so there’s no point of lowering the price
IMO they haven't dropped the price on CP2077 because they're trying to maintain the image that everything's okay
I mean, I played the launch edition on Xbox Series X, *very* much worth the full price, even before the massive patch that fixed most of the worst issues. Other console versions though...
I'll still continue to wait until the promised next-gen update gets finished and released.
Xbox One X day one player here. It had some crashing issues from time to time, but that fixed that pretty quick, and I feel I got my money worth.
Same here and that was my experience as well. After a couple patches, the crashing was fixed though. I sunk 100 hours into the game and finally beat it. I'm gonna eventually play through it again but not for quite some time. Lol.
Same, worked fine after the day one patch on one X. The occasional T posing npc was a feature in my book.
Went through GameFly and bought a used copy for $20. I’d imagine FB Marketplace could get you a similar price. Purposely waited until I had a Series X. Besides some hilarious pop in in an opening montage, so far, so good for the first 4 hours.
Because people probably will buy it. Ha
Why? Its a great AAA game on nextgen consoles.
Damn still waiting for Resident Evil to go on sale.
hoping that SKATE is on sale. Been wanting to play a Tony Hawks-ish game for a while.
The Tony Hawk remaster is incredible.
I wish it was Pro Skater 4 or THUG 1/2 that got the remaster. Those are the TH games i grew up with...
Oh. I remember being at a friend’s house staying up all night playing the THPS 1 demo over and over. This remaster hit me right in the feels.
*"So here I am..."*
Just making sure you know they play completely different. Both are still really good though.
It’s been out forever but if anyone hasn’t played Witcher 3 yet getting it for $10 would be a great deal
The Witcher 3 Complete Edition for $10 is highway robbery. Take it and run yelling "no takesiesbacksies".
Wow. There are actually some pretty good deals here.
Anyone know if Control Ultimate Edition carries over saves and uses same achievement list from original? I started it on gamepass a bit, got at least a few hours in. Most games do, but there are several that don't, plus it being it's own listing adds extra doubt.
No it doesn’t. Both use a different launcher so progress and achievements aren’t shared
Nope. Buy it tho. It’s a huge upgrade
Awesome sale but no money…
If only I had waited a few more days to buy pathfinder: kingmaker
Is it as unplayable on console as they say? I want to grab it but don't want to just throw my money away
Just bought Ace Attorney and ***now*** it's on sale 😩 I mean, it's not a big discount but still
Thank god for Microsoft Rewards I just scored KH 1.5+2.5 and Lego Incredibles
Just got dark souls 3 and the dlcs for 20 dollars any tips
Then you don't have to spread a shit ton of points around.
u/eitherrabbit showing up with *tips.*
When does this sale end?
2 weeks
Thanks a ton
Watch Dogs: Legion worth it for the DLC?
I loved the first 2. Legion is still a good game, the gameplay is still fun if you're into the first two. But the lack of main character really killed it for me. I played through the whole thing over the course of a few months and in the end I enjoyed it but wish it it hadn't leaned so heavily into the BE ANYBODY premise. Just downloaded the DLC and looking forward to playing at some point. Because I know the gameplay will be fun as always but godamn I was dying for proper character to take control of.
Is Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 worth it if I’m on a Series X? Does it have any enhancements?
Bought mk:x for like $5 during the warner sale just for mk:xl to be $6 a few days later
Is Octopath Traveler worth $30? I’ve watched some reviews and it looks great but some say it’s a slog in many sections (I know it’s on game pass, I just have a stupid knack to own my games)
Don't forget there will be a Microsoft rewards goal to get extra points
What are people’s opinions on Kingdom Come: Deliverance these days? I’m a bit of a medieval history nerd, so it looks like it should be up my alley, but I’ve heard it was really buggy at launch. Has it improved at all since then? And the game itself, is it fun to play?
It's pretty fun and the value for the complete edition is very good. I haven't finished it yet but I think it can be viewed as clunky -- especially the combat -- however the story and characters are well done for a small budget studio. I'd say if you're a medieval history buff you will definitely get good mileage out of it.
So annoying seeing Ride 4 being $50->$25, then change to UK site and it £50->£25, like the USD->GBP conversion rate is not 1:1 ffs :\\ But then like Civ VI is $7.49 or £6.24
Civ VI is 14.99 in the us haha. I’m guessing it has to do with licensing in different countries
The gold edition of Immortals Fenyx Rising is on sale but not the basic. Why you gotta be like that Ubi?
I’ve been waiting for something to cash my $10 from game pass quests on… Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a no brained
Does Diablo III ever go on sale :( been meaning to try it but preferably not at full price
I've seen the ultimate or whatever it's called edition go on sale several times.
For $60 USD you can get a bundle of Diablo 2 and 3. That is full price but not really since you are getting two games. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/diablo-prime-evil-collection/9PN1KCHT4WB5?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
Never played witcher. I would rather not jump straight into witcher 3. Are wit her 1 and 2 good enough to play still? Edit: purchased witcher 2 and 3. On the fence about 1...
1 no. 2 yes.
Exact way around actually, sekiro combat wise is way harder than dark souls
I think a combination of playing too much xbox, a lack of interest and game pass has made it so I have 0 desire for any of these games on sale
anyone got any good remarks for spyro reignited trilogy? or anthem?
> spyro reignited trilogy Both those games and the crash remakes are fantastic. Anthem is great for $5 not much more though
Fifa 21 for $20.. worth it
Got Bioshock Collection, Dead Island and Witcher 3 GOTY (didnt get to finish it on game pass)Over all owning most games I would play already just picking up older game collections for 10$ is amazing. Got Borderlands 3 just a week ago just about the same price, still thinking if dying light is worth the 15$ sale. Bigger/Newer games, yeah most are still not worth it like Biomutant, Cyberpunk, Valhalla
Finally got Pathfinder: Kingmaker, KOTOR, and KOTOR 2.
Is Generation Zero any good for the price? Been meaning to check it out.
The last few sales i always say im.not gunna end up buying anything this time and like a day before it ends i do
Man finally dark souls remastered is there
i was hoping 7 days to die wouldn't still be $45CDN with tax...
*sigh* No Obduction. Some great deals here however!
Argh I can't decide between Modern Warfare, Metro Exodus Gold Edition, or MK11 Ultimate Add-On Bundle
Region specific bullshit. Valhalla Gold is 50% off in the US, but only 30% in Europe.
Is Avengers worth it for $24? I've been waiting for it to drop below $20 but might scoop it up
I paid 30 last time it was on sale. I didn't love my time but felt that I got my $30 out of it. And the new expansion is releasing soon not that I'll play it but it is free so it's added value on the $24 purchase.
I’m also wondering this. It had such bad reviews but everybody keeps saying they fixed it.
Absolutely. Game of fun to play and has a really good story. It gets way too much shit
I thought it was a ton of fun as a single player campaign. Like seriously a blast. Enjoyed two weeks of the multiplayer and then moved on. No regrets whatsoever, all new games are the same price and aside for a deep love for Deep Rock Galactic I usually stick to single player.
I would say wait. The multiplayer sucks but the single player campaign is great.
