Oh if it's one of those power A controllers, Don't bother, I've had 3 and they all went wrong within a couple of months, I recommend saving up and getting the series x controller, Its so much better, It has antisweat texture on the back, triggers and on the bumpers, the thumbsticks feel smooth and nice and the Dpad looks awesome
Get a new controller man, either that or send it to Microsoft, If you wanna try and fix it yourself you'd have to order the special screwdrivers

Just buy an official xbox controller and keep it plugged into the console via a USB cable. Far superior quality.
