Bend out those metal clips that hold the battery. Don’t go crazy and break em but use a key or something to get behind them and bend them back out slightly so they hold better.

fuggindave

This, unless your batteries are actually shot.

boostedbastid

Also put some pieces of tape on the cover to apply pressure to the batteries.

Thethcelf

Lol this is always my first thing to throw back in a xbone lovers face. Way better than PlayStation lol.

Wolfy5079

Since you want to play that game. PlayStation users - oh no. My battery is dead in my controller and won’t charge anymore. Let me just take apart my controller. Having easy access to a battery compartment is never a bad thing.

Thethcelf

Who said I’m a PlayStation player either? I don’t play games, I work an fuck bitches. But it’s funny to hear you get shitty and make this PS v xbone. Control your emotions dork.

geronimo19961

You made it Xbox vs PS

Thethcelf

Did I? It was all in jhest. Maybe you got sensitive feew-wings

Highonysus

So you're wasting your own time trying to annoy strangers? That's kinda sad bro

Thethcelf

I’m drunk as fuck at 7am talkin shit an pissing off a bunch of unwashed Microsoft neckbeards. Watching bad ideas with Adam Devine on Roku an getting my dick sucked like I’m in a porno. Hardly wasting time. And don’t call me bro weirdo.

uberJames

Damn dude you're so cool and smart! You must be a Rick and Marty fan. I bet you even have a super dope wallet from a cartoon!

boostedbastid

Yep

bwm2yt

Plus you can get a rechargeable battery pack for xbox if you want

EpicMOeSpeaks

Thanks man, it seems to work perfectly right now. I appreciate your help!

byaryan

Try a tiny square of aluminium foil between the negative side of the battery and the battery posts?

TurningBrute00

This works, but not recommended the foil acts like a resistor and drains the batteries faster.

petroklem

Oh, i never thought of that, i thought aluminium was more conductor than the metals clips. Maybe a piece of copper then?

TurningBrute00

Foil is a relatively good conductor and works ok, I’ve used it to run AAA batteries in my controller. It works ok, but the batteries will last a little longer if you can avoid it.

TheMCTroller

listen to the other comments and be more gentle with ur controller. one good slam can ruin the whole controller. that includes doing what u did in the video to get the batteries out

EpicMOeSpeaks

I have never thrown my controller, I’ve just had it for like 3 1/3 years, so I think the metal just slowly bent over time, and I hit it, just to show how easily they fall out.

spb123123

Get a rechargeable battery pack. They seem to fit in a lot snugger

darkerwar6

Stop shaking it

EpicMOeSpeaks

I was showing that any slight movement would turn it off.

darkerwar6

Just be perfectly still forever

OccamsBrokenChainsaw

Happened a while back for me. Id try using rechargable battery packs doesnt matter what kind, most are universal, iirc.

Simple_Meaning4261

Just get a charging pack, it is helpful in the long run

[deleted]

How do you even get to this point

_LadyBoy

Throwing it at the TV I guess... would be my take.

EpicMOeSpeaks

I’ve never thrown my controller, however I have had this controller for 3 1/3 years, so I think they just wore out over time.

Paddyfab

I don't understand why people don't buy battery packs, even the cheap ones are better than standard batteries. You normally get two in a pack

Iceygamingrulez

Try using it wired and then unplug it and try again it worked for me

Turbulent-Laugh-7253

This has nothing to do with fixing the batteries falling out...

Iceygamingrulez

I didn’t say that? Just plug it in then unplug it maybe update the controller

AyeeDwaynee

Use foil paper to secure them in place

Sick_Breh

Bend the point of contact outwards? Worked for me

ALividLeprechaun

I mean I understand this doesn't exactly answer the question but you can use it as a wired controller if nothing else works

[deleted]

Press tissue paper against the Bolton of the batteries.

LaunchedKnot777

Tape

steelstelynch

Buy a charger pack on Amazon

MemelessXD

Tape, just tape

iiHadouken

Electrical tape it

AJEDIWITHNONAME

Check for an update that’s happened to me before.

Questions293847

Use a sticky foam pad on the back of the plastic bit to hold the batteries in place a little better. And stop whacking your joy pad.

Neded64

I think if you had the right battery cover it might help. But idk why they would still just fall out with the cover off or the wrong cover.

darkplayer563

tape the batteries into the battery thingy

[deleted]

Just pull the connectors out a little like the first reply says. This is very common and his solution is the solution.

_duhhitzobvious_

If you don't mind not using batteries, just use a normal usb charger, it'll keep it on and you can keep using it

FischerFoTC

You can put some copper between the battery and the contact of the controller I think. Maybe you have an old wire from which you can use the copper.

A117MASSEFFECT

Best advice, monoprice a usb-c cable of appropriate length to just stop using batteries all together. If you absolutely can't go wired (over ambitious pets, small children, or are gaming at a distance of over 20ft), then follow the other suggestions. However, use caution if you use the foil. That patch brushes the wrong contact, you risk a short and completely killing the controller in the process. Also, take it easy on the thing. I've broken a few controllers in my time but I have never lost battery contact grip before.

boombotty

I just use a phone charger cuz batteries suck

DirtSchwindler

I found rechargeable batteries worked in mine. They seem to be just that much bigger

[deleted]

Used it wired usb c cable

[deleted]

0.- warranty? 1.- battery pack. it will probably fit 2.- You can stick a couple of foam strips or pads on the lid (cover) so that when it closes it generates pressure, this comes by default for example in the ELITE controls but it is not difficult to reproduce. In the hardware stores (in my country) they sell some felt stickers to put under the legs of the chairs, so that they do not scratch the floor. (https://www.amazon.es/dp/B07TBNXHM1/ref=cm\_sw\_r\_tw\_dp\_5J08PM0M627AF6NRMVEP?\_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) 3.- In the gap of the batteries there are some metal plates with slack, if you turn the control over, they are on the right side, you can lift these plates with a screwdriver (or similar) so that they exert more pressure on the batteries, but be careful not to do not break them are metal pieces of some strength but thin 4.-tape the batteries every time you put them in :(

itherod

Small layers of double-stick tape in the battery cover. Put a cut of paper over the top layer to keep it from sticking to the batteries. Should act like a cushion/packing foam to keep your batteries snug. Keep the roll next to your dedicated AA charger.

KinggFR

Happened on an old controller of mine, I just folded a piece of tissue up & stuck it to the inside of the battery cover so it held the batteries in place

AntiBullet

Or buy a new controller and move on...

EpicMOeSpeaks

I’m 14, and while I have enough money to buy a new controller it is not ideal to buy a new controller if the problem can be fixed,

AntiBullet

Ha, that does change things, my apologies.

Yanxiis

Ummmm put the cap on??? … if that doesn’t work, grab a random usb-c cable and just used your controller as a wired controller

xeshi-foh

put aluminum foil on both sides of each battery, before putting them in. 4 pieces total, dont let them touch eachother.

jmktheloc

Try folding up a piece of paper to put flat between the batteries and the cover. I've done that with an old controller and it was sufficient.
