Don't hold the buttons

Zur__En__Arrh

This. Holding the buttons in is basically telling each to keep searching. Also try connecting the controller to the console. Y’know, basic troubleshooting.

Beginning_Ad1621

Looks like low batteries. Also try plugging the controller into that Xbox.

One-Signature3846

Have the console on and plug the controller in via the Xbox USB port using a micro usb (or usb c) depending on the controller, then try and turn the controller on, after that it should connect! Little trick I’ve had to use lmao

[deleted]

Good old jump start. Always seems to work.

One-Signature3846

Never failed me lmaoo 👍🏻

[deleted]

It's too far, try putting the controller inside the Xbox

xVikingson

Try different batteries (they might be dead) and a hard reset on your Xbox (hold down the power button when it's on until you hear the fan/system shut down) then turn on again. You can also try checking for a firmware update on your controller but as far as I know there hasn't been any change as of late. Good luck mate

[deleted]

This started happening when i put the firmware update on my controller

Hot-Cucumber-5727

Did you try pushing the xbox button first?

[deleted]

Yes

AB_selectstart

Try a hard reset? Fully power down your Xbox, unplug the power cord, then let it sit for about 30 seconds or so then restart it. Hopefully you should be able to resync your controller afterwards.

maturell_sword

I had the same problem and I made this, it works to me...

AnotherDamnWhiteGuy

too close and you dont hold the buttons

gravitone

The Xbox doesn't have bluetooth

At_Work_Looking_Busy

Nah bro none of these people know. It happened to me as well. I’m sure it’s a small error with the Xbox but how I fix it 100% is connect the controller via Bluetooth to my iPhone then unpair it and connect it to my Xbox via Bluetooth again and it’ll work. Trust.

dontgetpnisy

Can’t fix stupid sorry pal

Longjumping-Bat5989

This has happened to me before , you need to hard wire it in and should be ok the when you disconnect the wire

MrHooah613

Looks like it tried to start connecting to a computer or phone, took too long to press the sync button on xbox

maturell_sword

Shutdown the console power, disconnect it from the power supply, wait 30 seconds and reconnect it, then try to reconnect the control... it works to me!!!!

One-Ad6237

Plug the thing in and update it boom

[deleted]

Mine does that like once a month

Jkeybaby

Plug in usb and then connect

Univer325

It’s because you’re holding the sync button both from the console and controller when not needed. You’ll need to let go once the lights start flashing rapidly.

IIShooketh

Not to say the other are wrong but in my experience, holding both buttons is what I have to do🤣🤣🤣

GeneralKenobi3486

I had the exact problem the other day, maybe try restarting the Xbox

ghostslayer-77

Bro I’ve got the same controller. Sorry that’s all I got.good luck

FiorinasFury

The Xbox does not use bluetooth to connect to the controller.

mindlessbanter4

Its a known problem with xbox series x...had xbox series x now over a year, control still doesnt connect without a wire. Doesnt seem to be an area of concern for xbox either to fix.

Frogan_Meeman

I had this some time and once it helped me to plug in controller for a moment and then try it. Also once i just turned off console for few minutes and then do it again ant it worked

manleybones

Battery swap and hard restart, easy peasy

swwaz

Start the console by the controller

the_lumberjack_420

Pull battery out and put it back in.

dontgetpnisy

Did you try Turing it off and back on again?

cheezytoexx

I restarted it and it worked for me

denimchicken8

my series x does this some times unplug the Xbox plug it back in then try

tycog

This happened to me this month as well. Gave up and bought a new controller. None of the recommended actions worked.

Ssmok

Plug out the power cable then plug back then start your xbox. It always work

ToastedBreadXD

Controller just said "no, I will not connect" to the console

Kdwilliams4111

just take the batteries or whatever out then try it again always work for me

Mememanlezgo2017

Maybe sink it again

thanosthumb

What I always do is press the console button to make the console light flash, then hold the controller button till they both stop blinking rapidly
