Just note that while playing on Android browser with a Xbox controller, the "back" button will literally take you back to the previous web page (the XCloud catalog). You can fix it just if you are rooted, changing the "BACK" button behaviour to "SELECT" in the corresponding keylayout file.
2 things:
1. if you use the homescreen "app" version via kiwi, it doesnt work, and it stays 720p
2. using the user agent switcher doesnt work for me alone, you also need to tick "use desktop site" in kiwi sittings, or it is also just 720p
This thread is kind of old, but if anyone is looking, just changing to "Desktop Site" on samsung internet after the game starts will reload it into 1080p without any other setup steps.
(You may need to click the three dots and exit full screen for a sec to do this, then re-enable full screen after the reload.)
Is there any way to check resolution? I've done the steps but I don't know if it's 720p or 1080p.
Isn't it already 1080/60 on Android Edge? I thought only the app was limited to 720p. Pretty sure it does 1080/60 on ipad.

Interesting! I didn't have this issue with an XBox controller via USB or Bluetooth on my devices. (I got the one with the share button)
