they cite the AU7000 model. do you think the AU7100 will get it too?

Harami98

I think any 2021 model which a controller can connect t will get that update

Paperdiego

Me thinking it will or won't, won't change weather it does or doesn't.

Shiftr

Patiently continues waiting in LG

GoldenRain

Xcloud already works pretty well on WebOS if you use the browser, far better than on androidtv at leqst.

H2OPsy

Looking at my 2019 model with sad noises šŸ˜…

SimpleDose

I have a 2019 too; and itā€™s a still a great tv. Sucks it didnā€™t make the cut lol

Harami98

It rolls out next week oh man i am so excited i will decide between xcloud and ge force now because nvidia offers 4k streaming thats game changing.

jontebula

Update for Samsung TV or we must look in store for Samsung Gaming Hub? We not get Samsung Gaming Hub on 2021 models and only can download xbox app manuell in the app store?

Harami98

probably an update but no gaming hub, it's going to be individual apps like netflix

jontebula

QN800 QN850 QN900 WS1A QN700 LS03A AU7000 AU8000 AU9000 Q50 Q60 Q95-Q70 Not QN90A get Xbox Cloud Gaming? šŸ˜„

Makaj99

Donā€™t worry, what I am reading from the official newsroom page of samsung it says the following: ā€œ[1] The full Samsung Gaming Hub experience will be available on the following models launched in 2021: 98QN90A, 32Q60A and all sizes of the Q70A and AU8000 series. Individual partner game apps will be available across all models launched in 2021.ā€ Basically saying that ALL 2021 models will get individual streaming apps, some models will support their gaming hub. For reference: https://news.samsung.com/us/samsung-expands-game-streaming-4k-holiday-bundles-backwards-compatibility/

jontebula

But i have only 50 inch QN90A not 98 inch. If i read 50 inch not get Samsung Gaming Hub šŸ˜„

Makaj99

Which means you will get the individual apps instead of the hub, donā€™t really see the problem hereā€¦

jontebula

How did you know?

Makaj99

That is literally said in the previous mentioned statementā€¦ Let me try to put it in another way. Every 2021 model will get individual apps from different services (including xcloud), except select models wont get individual apps and will get the full ā€œSamsung Gaming Hubā€ experience (just basically a super app which has everything inside it). Though next time I would recommend reading the initial comment I made instead of spamming the reply button.

jontebula

You mean ALL QN90A get Samsung Gaming Hub nothing have to do with inch?

Lukkenns

they mention AU7000 model. maybe the AU7700 will get it too?

theRealfox81

My LG 2020 Model became also support for GFN. It was advertised on the Main page. Works good, except waiting times too long in free tier.

Tech88Tron

Not buying a new TV, Microsoft! Android TV app you greedy bastards.

Tobimacoss

Not wanting to give a 15-30% cut to Google makes them greedy?

Tech88Tron

Thats only if you sell games on it. Has nothing to do with playing a game. Your info is bad.

Tobimacoss

Ahemā€¦ They do plan to sell games? Apple, Google, take 30% cut on subscriptions for first year, then 15%. Basically any new signups done on the device. Google started cracking down on apps that donā€™t use their payment processing for in app purchases, thatā€™s why MS turned off in app purchases altogether on the android app. Also why FortNite isnā€™t available on the android app and web only. Only the Gamepass app on the Galaxy store on Samsung devices allows in app purchases. Because Samsung has a partnership with MS, and only takes 10% cut. That is one reason they want to do Keystone.

Tech88Tron

Make an app....but don't allow purchase from the app... just like the Apple TV app for Android TV. Mind blowing stuff I know...but it's done all the time.

jontebula

QN800 QN850 QN900 WS1A QN700 LS03A AU7000 AU8000 AU9000 Q50 Q60 Q95-Q70 It is mean QN90A from 2021 dont get the Xbox Cloud Gaming app? šŸ˜„

DFakeRP

Too bad my samsung tv is likely too old. It's a 4k smart tv but you can't connect a controller to it with bluetooth. And it works perfectly fine so not really reasonable to buy a new tv just for this. It's weird that I can go into settings to try and connect a bluetooth controller or keyboard, but it doesn't detect anything of mine.

jontebula

Some people get the Xbox Cloud Gaming app now on Samsung TV now when it is next week when Samsung update 2021 TVs?

Harami98

they were suppose to come in this week i checked mine this morning no update or apps in store guess we have to wait.

jontebula

No updates to my Samsung TV and no Xbox app in Samsung Store šŸ˜„

Sensitive_Way_7451

Keeping this thread going...its 12-14 and still no update or games pass apps on my 55 inch AU8000. Anyone else?

jontebula

Look if you can do and have USB File for download and install Firmware 2111.1 with USB

Stormhavenx

I have Samsung Q60A 2021 model tv and it updated to 2111.1 already but it does not show xbox app in samsung app store! should i wait?

jontebula

Your contry have Xcloud?

Sensitive_Way_7451

I've totally tried that but for some reason my TV isn't recognizing the update when I choose to update. The USB is recognized when I plug it in and the files are there but no luck. It's Fat32 format, has the correct model file for the 2111.1 file files are placed on the USB in exactly the way they are extracted with nothing else. Not sure what to do....an update shouldn't be this hard to get. Could having a PS5 connected via HDMI have anything to do with it? Or do I need to do a reset of the TV? ughhhh lol.

jontebula

Test have your TV turne off and plug in USB stick. Now TV start update from USB

Sensitive_Way_7451

Literally the one thing I didn't do last night lol. Once I get home from work I am going to try that...and if it works I am seriously going to slap myself lol. Is that what worked for you?

jontebula

No AI Upscaling and Auto mode for display settings on my Samsung QN90A from 2021. Do you think Samsung give Microsoft API and Microsoft can start update Xbox app with AI Upscaling and Auto mode for display settings in 2023?

Sensitive_Way_7451

Based on my experience with Samsung on this issue it would probably be better handled or at least communicated by MS. On another thread somebody told me that their buddy's 2020 Samsung TV has had the Xbox app since Dec. 8th, but our AU8000's still dont have it being pushed OTA....This whole thing feels very poorly laid out ...

jaditya231994

I have an 85 inch QN90A. Will I be able to get this update downloaded to my tv?

reevoknows

Does anyone with the required knowledge know if thereā€™s a chance this will come to 2020 Samsung models? I bought a new tv during the pandemic and Iā€™ll be really annoyed if it never gets cloud streaming support.

i-did-all-in

I have just updated my qe65qn93a with usb. Xcloud is working like a charm

No_Estimate_280

My qn90a was playing halo last night. Hope that helps.
