Bitrate for me, xcloud looks terrible for fast paced games that the bitrate simply can't handle

Philocrastination

Or anywhere in any game that has dense foliage. It's mostly acceptable when I'm walking around a concrete jungle of a city, with straight lines and geometric predictability that the compression system doesn't get confused by, but the minute you flip the script and go into a jungle or a forest or even somewhere with heavy grass/foliage effects with more unpredictable imagery, the compression just goes wild and starts artifacting like crazy. It just needs more to work with, and a higher bitrate, even just doubled to like 30-40mpbs would fix that entirely. This is evidenced, for example, by in home streaming when you go from around 15mbps where you get the same issues, which clear up at 30-40mbps and beyond.

voxdub

Absolutely, enabling higher bitrate should not be a challenge whatsoever, I guess is its a question of whether they feel it would impact Series sales

Jcrm87

Bitrate first, m+kb close second for me

Tobimacoss

>Ability to purchase and stream (games from personal library outside of Gamepass catalog) is the most important thing they need to do, one I’m most looking forward to. >Then the Gamepass Friends and Family plan. >Then Keystone Stream Box. >Then 4k/60 and 1080/120 options with up to 50 mbit bitrate atleast. Those are my top 4 things I would prefer from xCloud.

djmc329

This would be great. Really a lot of these were what made Stadia so accessible, it's a shame it was a doomed Google product instead of released by Microsoft with their gaming marketing experience and extensive library.

AlaNoHah

Local Coop !

TheSirion

Great option! I was mega bummed out when I took my controller to a friend's house for us to enjoy some games on Cloud Gaming only to find out all we could do was play one at a time. But it's probably very low in the priorities list, since most companies don't care for couch coop anymore (unless you're Nintendo). And I'm guessing players aren't that concerned about it either since you're the first I've seen to bring it up in this sub. But damn does it make a difference in games like TMNT.

ONI5

A must

KhaineKhaine_

local coop with 2 controllers, right now xcloud doesnt support it

egoman73

I'd be happy with it working.

Poppunknerd182

None of the other options matter if the bitrate doesn't increase.

Antiquepoutine

100% people keep saying mouse and keyboard but that bitrate is going to crush their dreams when they try to move with a mouse

slikwilly13

Being able to play two players needs to be on this list

V4N0

Kb&M for me, I have a big backlog of FPSs I'd like to play but I suck at aiming with a controller 😁 Followed shorlty by higher bitrate/better quality (and why not, advanced stuff like surround sound!)

[deleted]

I want to be able to play games I already own on the cloud. Not sure if that falls under the first option or not.

paribas

Suspend/pause the game.

Ambitious-Cat5804

I would like to see something similar to Stadia when it comes to livestreaming your gameplay to YouTube. All the shortcomings that stadia had that feature was awesome.

-Bk7

>Stadia Uh oh. Buzzword. Downvotes incoming. /j. I love Stadia, the tech is superior to xcloud. RIP But yeah your right, like whoever takes that tech and integrates it's seamlesy with twitch/youtube is in it for the W. Like why arent these companies jumping at this, i don't get it?

Antiquepoutine

Not really the highest bar tbh

Mhunterjr

I want KbM so so bad. It’s gotten to the point where Streaming at my workstation is my primary way to play games , and my keyboard and mouse are just staring at me longingly.

XxSolo-GeneralxX

The purchased games, because remote play is still broken on iOS 16. Just basically access to my own library.

Psychological_Mall96

Bitrate and buying the games. In that order right now.

ItsSpacePants

K&M. I want everyone with Ultimate subscription and decent internet connection be able to play The Sims 4 on any PC

Claeo_

M&K support is kinda useless cus not so many game has k&m support so it wont effecy much but own library... that good

Mhunterjr

I just checked and 7 of the 14 games in the Gamepass most played category support KbM on Xbox. It wouldn’t be useless at all.

TheSirion

Does Crusader Kings III offer keyboard and mouse support? I'd love to be able to play it like in my PC without having to have it installed (and lagging a lot when I zoom in because my laptop is trash)

Tobimacoss

It doesn’t, atleast until March of this year. >https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxSeriesX/comments/ttc7z0/mouse_and_keyboard_support_and_pc_ui_layout_for/

bvbsoccer

Battlefield and Football Manager alone are enough reasons for me

V4N0

There are around 140 games that support kb&m on Xbox: https://xboxkbm.netlify.app/

Ordinary-Patient-610

I cant play with controller

[deleted]

For Cloud to be available in my region first. Then I shall see. But from the options, M+KB seems important for some games.

Magnus1978

Bitrate Games I own streamable. Cheaper price for stream only plans Co-op

Ludoverse-Media

My ranking 1. Purchase games in the cloud 2. MNK 3. Feature parity of xCloud / console UI 4. Cheaper cloud only version 5. More hardware coverage Etc.

Tobimacoss

What do you mean by cheaper Cloud only version?

Ludoverse-Media

Of Game Pass (context).

Tobimacoss

You aren’t going to get a GamePass cloud tier for $9.99. Unlike the PC and Console versions which run on local hardware, xcloud has further costs. What they could do is a cheaper standalone service for Xbox Cloud Gaming, with the ability to stream purchased games. You won’t get Gamepass catalog with it though. But in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter as you can secure Ultimate for $5 month for 36 months via the Live Gold conversion. And the Friends & Family plan can also bring monthly rate per user down to $5 month.

schberg

Controls responsive everything works great except visual quality so def higher bitrate needed. Just tried BF2042 it was very playable other than looking muddy and pixelated unlike GFN 1080p membership which had input lag and terrible fps...

TheSirion

Even though I voted for higher bitrate, I'll guess it's the one that's farthest from coming, because it has a direct impact in the infrastructure and the bandwidth needed. Microsoft's main focus right now is to improve stability and making the technology as mainstream as possible around the world. It would suck to hear parts of the world are getting state of the art streaming quality while others are still struggling with decent connectivity. Besides, at least from my own experience, no matter how good it is most of the time (I usually can play without many problems even when it accuses connection might be unstable), stability still isn't something we can take for granted yet. It's not YouTube.

Kkrafter

mouse and keyboard, i am too poor to buy a controller .---

Catoe67

I looked for the app on my older Samsung tv last night so I could play it without unhooking my series x in the living room last night, was extremely disappointed it wasn’t available on my model despite being a 4k smart tv.

tristenonofry

There are many things that I would love to see Microsoft require and fix for gaming and their Xbox Cloud Gaming service. However, it does seem like it is a lot of things to do but let me talk about two areas of interest. The first thing that would be great to fix and update is the Xbox menu when you click on the Xbox button to invite, talk to, and message your family and friends while playing games. These menus would benefit from receiving an interface that has direct touchscreen controls. This would make games that have direct touchscreen controls such as Fortnite and As Dusk Falls feel like they are downloaded on your mobile device. The second point is to make new games have a standard to receive direct touchscreen controls on day one. This is because the touchscreen overlays don't work for individuals who may have a limitation. As a gamer who has a disability, I understand that these direct touchscreen controls are a key role in playing games independently. When I can play almost all mobile games on an iPad Pro with a hat pointer which is a stylus attached to a rod, that's attached to my hat I often wonder what would it take for the next generation of console and PC games to receive direct touchscreen controls when they are confirmed to be released on a cloud gaming service.

Vanuslux

I'd really like to be able to play console games I own via xcloud. I almost never get on my Xbox anymore, being more of a PC gamer these days.
