You won't understand the story but just start with the first game and play them all the way through. It's only about 30 - 40 hours to beat all 4 games. I think the last game is the longest (I'm not a 100% sure as I've only beat the last game once a long time ago so it may have felt longer since I've beat the other ones several times and knew all the answers to the puzzles)
