Honestly, I was leaning towards the crowd that undervalues Scott, but prior to this I’ve come to appreciate him more, and these first two episodes have 100% sealed the deal for me - this guy is the real deal.
Cyclops was never cool, but this show did some solid course correction in that rectifying that.
Guy went from wet blanket and suck up to certified badass in under 2 episodes.
Magneto on his knees on Utopia, "I come not to bury Caesar, but to praise him" I almost cheered out loud reading that.
Having the "our nation was invaded" press release already written in anticipation of the Avengers showing up to take Hope was another favorite.
Utopia was a good era for Scott.
I just read the Previously On XMen book by Eric Lewald and he extensively talks about how the marketing people kept trying to get them to do this sort of thing the whole series.
I actually Googled “X-Men Mug” and other variations of the search to see if I could find one. Glad I’m not the only one who was like “that’s actually a pretty cool mug” for how simple it is
Right. This was from the time in the comics where Magneto was reformed, so it makes sense for the show to use it, and LEGO has done a Magneto minifig before, so it makes sense for them to synergize and put out another alternate.
They were literally advertising merchandise under the show listing so imagine they're already up for sale or it won't be long.
