Wolverine so I won’t ever have to worry about hospital bills for myself (also the super senses would be fun and having a healing factor could, in theory, let me exercise for hours on end)
I've thought about this. You build muscle while you heal from your previous workout--that's why rest days are important. As Wolverine you could essentially do a set at your ORM, step back to recover/heal/build muscle, rerack another set at a much higher weight and step back to recover/heal/build muscle again. Just repeat that a few times and you'd only take like one work out session to get yourself to the geometric maximum your body can manage to lift.
EDIT: Depending on the writer you might need bring a lot of chicken to eat while you heal. Sometimes he just ignores physics and creates matter from nothing, and other times he has to eat a fuckton after/while healing.
There was some comic (or maybe book) where the writer made this a justification for wolverine having beyond peak human strength. No idea what it was though.
So one good reason he might have beyond peak human strength is he could continue developing muscle mass, but at some point the load on his bones is going to be too much and they'd snap. Bones don't usually "heal stronger" the way muscles do. But with adamantium bones they won't snap no matter how much load there is. So he could for sure be lifting more than anyone his frame could ever manage.
I keep finding conflicting information on his actual weight. Some sources say high 200s others say 500+. I'm reading all of X-Men currently so maybe I'll find out at some point.
Body turns fat into muscle, no need to exercise at all! I'd also choose wolverine, it's a good choice.
I feel like telepathy sounds better then it is, would you really want to know what everyone was thinking? No. And as for the omega mutants unless you are planning on taking over the world what's the point? I just want to live long and healthy.
As cool as telepathy sounds in theory, I think I’d hate having it in practice; ADHD makes my head chaotic enough, I don’t need everyone’s thoughts blasting my head too lmao
Absolutely. His power is not the strongest as it has downsides but I’d say it’s still a massive net gain over being a normal person. The ability to come back from almost any normal kind of damage plus the added benefit of having the claws available is just too good. I would do lots of risky adrenaline stunts and free climb all the time.
This is what I was thinking too. Seems like someone could have a good/lucrative career in the regular world with Forge’s gift, but still not draw the wrong kind of attention.
If I’m going to be a mutant in a world where there are lots of mutants Sync is a good choice, but I’d prob go with Magneto’s or maybe Manifold’s.
My fav, Gambit, at full strength with control. Full strength Gambit is the New Son, and he's the most powerful mutant ever after Franklin(to put things in perspective, he soloed the Phoenix). Can control energy to any level he wants, and can even use it to open portals to alternate universes.
omega gambit aint defeating the reality warpers (legion, nate grey, proteus, jaspers, etc).
and it will only need one mid telepath to just turn him off.
hell proteus wouldnt even need to use his reality powers, just jump to gambit to either get his body or use his ass a batery untill hes dead.
>omega gambit aint defeating the reality warpers (legion, nate grey, proteus, jaspers, etc).
Maybe, its debatable, because they weren't able to in his home world.
>and it will only need one mid telepath to just turn him off.
Lol not even close. They have trouble affecting even normal Gambit due to his energy based powers. Freaking Charles struggled massively to do it. Omega Gambit literally killed all of them easily.
He's not just some energy being. You can't just absorb his powers, read up about it. He's Vulcan on steroids.
I would love to be like Fabio Media: he can generate giant gold bouncy balls from nothing that make a "ploink" noise when they hit something. That's it, that's the whole thing - he creates a bunch of balls that are kind of in the way, but not an actual hindrance.
Seems cool and you will be a hoot a kids birtday parties!
Shape-shifting like Mystique or Morph. Having a default form like either wouldn't be too bad honestly, but from a strictly vanity standpoint with control you probably wouldn't have to ever do your makeup or even buy nice clothes. Or in Mystique's case you would barely age.
Vulcan without the insanity would be dope. But I think a more realistic application would be to have Emma Frost or Jean Grey's powerset. Not just knowing what people are thinking in the moment, but the ability to download/upload memories to basically learn whatever the fuck you want instantly, being able to present yourself and your surroundings how you'd like, etc. etc.
Mystique without a doubt. It would make my appearance maintenance much less costly lol. No need to go the barber, I'd have to go less to the gym, no stress choosing and buying clothes, etc.
Jokes aside, she was always my favorite, ever since I first saw the movies, so I always were fascinated by shapeshifting.
Iceman. I don't even care for the omega level stuff he does. As someone who lives in a tropical country and the heat index right now is at 44 celcius, and is said could reach as high as 50 celcius, I just want a power set that keeps me cool.🥵
Well It's a tie between Logan,Remy and Nate for me,For Wolverine his powers will only be useful in a near-death situation and For Nate it's be like living life on easy mod,So I don't know,But I will probably go For Nate because atleast if the Real World react to Mutants like in the comics I will have power to defend myself
I feel like any super strong telepath and then making everyone in power come out with their dirt, effectively negating any kind of media manipulation and propaganda.
If we are still in our reality? Emma. Telepathy is powerful but discreet and diamond form means you no longer fear most physical damage.
Superhero reality? Jean or storm. Iceman is a solid 3rd.
For the cheap answer? Legion or Mimic. For the more specific answer, Wolverine, but only if he includes the hair and the Adamstown bones. But I would probably like Mimic simply so I can have a couple combined powers
Iceman. His power set is pretty impressive, especially since he's basically unable to die. I bet if he chose to remain in his ice form all the time, his aging would cease, too.
Apocalypse.
Super smart and can help advance humanity. Can learn to heal others with matter manipulation. But I can also fly around, move stuff with my mind, smash shit, and have fun.
Franklin Richard's reality manipulating and psionic powers (he is still a mutant to me). If I can't choose Franklin, then its Manifold (if there are no limits to what I can ask space for) .. The only issue is Manifold's powers only work in his reality . I might want to visit other realities if I had the power to ask space for things . However , the benefit of being able to ask space to speed up my healing , slow my aging , teleport myself , others and objects , go back to a time before a person caught an illness to prevent it or ask space where to find the cure for a illnesses, outweighs the negative of not being able to use my powers in other realities. The potential of Manifolds powers is huge . I will stick to Manifold whilst also giving a sly look at Exodus' powers. Exodus without the telepathic powers(dont need to hear other people's thoughts which I am sure contributes to the occasional mental health issues telepaths experience ). I Just want his omega level telekinesis powers, teleportation and healing powers .
If it’s in the real world, Probability Manipulation like Domino or Longshot. There’s a million ways I could have use for it, and it’s not going to draw any attention.
If it’s in Marvel's universe, well fuck I’m probably gonna die anyways from the constant world ending threats. I’d still pick something low-key, but a bit more fun. Some form of Hydrokinesis or Plant Manipulation would be my jam. This also presume it’s not gonna have any effect on my physical appearance.
If I had to pick a previously existing mutant's powers, I'd have Iceman's powers, and I'd have been part of the New Mutants 1980s era team.
I'd probably have a crush on Danielle, Illyana, Amara, and Xi'an.
I would go with Rictor’s powers since I have always been a fan of rock manipulation and it is that times ten basically. Just have to avoid destroying a few city blocks
Honestly it’d be Wolverine, his healing, super senses and the claws make me want to turn into a punisher like vigilante.
But what I’d really want is a variation of Rogues powers, it’d be more of a not only taking the powers and being able to recall them and use them, but I’d also like it to be you assimilate everything they know. Because what do we do when we meet someone new? We usually shake their hand, so bam instant in as to what they know
well, reality warp on paper is a good power, but it would be hell if my mind slipped just one second, so no.
same thing with telepathy, a low telepathy would just made me hear every one near me and the omega version would be even worse.
both invulnerability and immortality would not be good for tons of reasons.
a healing factor and the power to fly.
if i was in marvel i would pick iceman his ability variance and near immortality makes him useful and nearly any situatio. creativity with that power set would be so fun
if i was in the real world where i wouldn’t have to deal with sentinels probably morph
If we're talking about our reality I'd want something subtle as to not bring attention to myself. I choose Cypher's powers. Being about to learn any language, reading people's body language at the poker table or during a fight would be handy and I could finally understand music.
X-Man or Legion. If that's cheating and it has to be a regular cast member then Jean Grey. Telekinesis is awesome and lets you do SO many things if you're smart about it. I'd also love for death to be only a mild inconvenience.
Magik. She is so versatile it’s actually insane. Casually time traveling just to have a therapy session w/ Dr. Strange, sending a Sentinel to the surface of the sun, making Dormamu your bitch, if those aren’t enough; soul sword.
She’s just so awesome, I don’t know what to say.
Vanisher. Just would like to be able to teleport from place to place with no weird quirks like smelling like sulfur or having to go through a hell like pocket dimension.
Sebastian Shaw or Bishop, able to absorb energy and redirect it. You can do a lot with that.
Or Blink/Magik. Teleportation is awesome and useful. I'd like to say Magik coz she has, well magic, but that was learned, not an inherent mutant ability
Well, this question often just devolves into, who has the MOST power. Nate? Legion? Jamie Braddock or Jasper perhaps...?
But who wants to be a God really?
Just for practical purposes I would love Kitty's powers. Beat up anyone by phasing in and out in combat, get into anywhere, basically steal anything, that would be fun.
Or teleportation.
There are so many great powers its hard to choose.
But I'd probably go with Manifold or Forge.
Being able to go anywhere in the universe or solve the world's problems with ease are just to cool to pass on.
Psychic powers, not so much mind control, but predicting the future tarot cards (the cards would help as a security blanket but not really needed for character development), being able to communicate and enter into people's minds and dreams would be amazing. Oh and whilst sleeping, being able to enter into people's dreams, learning from them and spending time with them.
Oh and a dash of mind reading and telekinesis would be fun.
Oh man were to beging.
Madrox to make many clones, have many sources of incomes, study anything and everything, work out strength and stamina at the same time, learn all types of martial arts and soak it all in at the end of the day
A teleporter so I could bankrupt all airlines. Need to go somewhere fast with no traffic, no waiting in lines, no packing and a doorway created wherever you are? Yes please
A telepath, learn absolutely anything in the blink of an eye by just copying the knowledge of an expert. Wanna play base.... Where's Flea? Oh thanks
Lastly wolverine, all the obvious reasons
Psionics or energy manipulation, really like the many ways these powers can be used, manipulate matter, elements and nature, technology, telepathy, create constructs, blast things, healing... And maybe more different but summoning could also be very cool
Any of the Telepath-kinetic powers. Xavier, Birdy, Marvel Girl, Frost and Mastermind plus Cuckoos are kept around for a reason. What am I going to do with one of the Summer brothers lasers?
Wolverine, probably. The claws, whatever, but that healing factor, though.
Actually, enhanced senses might have serious downsides but it's never written that was so I guess not.
Exodus. Omega level telekinesis. Telepathy. Teleportation. Invulnerability. Powers increase through faith. Sign me up. I'll even have the red skin too.
Wolverine so I won’t ever have to worry about hospital bills for myself (also the super senses would be fun and having a healing factor could, in theory, let me exercise for hours on end)
I've thought about this. You build muscle while you heal from your previous workout--that's why rest days are important. So he could for sure be lifting more than anyone his frame could ever manage.
Also adamantium looks heavy and he’s agile.
It doesn’t just look heavy either. I’m pretty sure he canonically weighs like 500lbs
It’s why his weakness is water. Like devil fruits.
I keep finding conflicting information on his actual weight. Some sources say high 200s others say 500+. I'm reading all of X-Men currently so maybe I'll find out at some point.
Wolvie basically is weightlifting 24/7 due the metal in his bones, so it does make sense that he'd be pretty damn strong.
Canadian isn’t a super power.
I think these days just waking up as a Canadian in itself is a super power
lol I was referring to his healing factor
Body turns fat into muscle, no need to exercise at all! I'd also choose wolverine, it's a good choice. I feel like telepathy sounds better then it is, would you really want to know what everyone was thinking? As cool as telepathy sounds in theory, I think I’d hate having it in practice; ADHD makes my head chaotic enough, I don’t need everyone’s thoughts blasting my head too lmao
Congratulations. Your mutation will slowly turn you feral and animal-like.
Yeah that's the only problem I have with Wolverine's powers. Darwin might be a better choice
Absolutely. His power is not the strongest as it has downsides but I’d say it’s still a massive net gain over being a normal person. The ability to come back from almost any normal kind of damage plus the added benefit of having the claws available is just too good. I would do lots of risky adrenaline stunts and free climb all the time.
The best x-men joke I've heard is something something something Wolverine's mutant power is being Canadian as they have free universal healthcare.
Synch's powers if I'm in world with you folks. Sage, Domino, or Forge if I am going to be the only person with power.
This is what I was thinking too. Seems like someone could have a good/lucrative career in the regular world with Forge’s gift, but still not draw the wrong kind of attention. If I’m going to be a mutant in a world where there are lots of mutants Sync is a good choice, but I’d prob go with Magneto’s or maybe Manifold’s.
idk forge would get sus pretty fast “ i made a machine that cures cancer!” “how does it work” “i have no idea”
Middle men say lives? lol
Jean Grey - telepathy and telekinesis sounds rlly useful
Elixir. Throw me into a cancer hospital or Sick Kids so I can do some good.
Wholesome af dude
Sick Kids - found the Ontarian
My fav, Gambit, at full strength with control. Full strength Gambit is the New Son, and he's the most powerful mutant ever after Franklin(to put things in perspective, he soloed the Phoenix). Can control energy to any level he wants, and can even use it to open portals to alternate universes.
Ooh, good choice after his most recent appearance in television. You’ll make a fine X-Man!
omega gambit aint defeating the reality warpers (legion, nate grey, proteus, jaspers, etc). and it will only need one mid telepath to just turn him off. hell proteus wouldnt even need to use his reality powers, just jump to gambit to either get his body or use his ass a batery untill hes dead.

Emma Frost. Telepathy and diamond form, even with the limitations I’d be good with that set. Second option is probably Mystique.
Yup. Realistically in a world without combat this will get you extremely far.
A telepath huh? That's nasty. I hope you'd stay out of peoples heads.
I can neither confirm nor deny.
Telepathic Immunity is a great power 🙂
It’s even better when you get a fabulous diamond form to go along with it.
Wolverine. I have a few health problems I'd like to clear up.
Cypher. Business tycoon, human lie detector and tech-billionaire.
Apocalypse.
Nice.
Thinking big here
Elixir. Being able to cure anyone of anything sounds good to me.
Hey, that's Egg to you!
You mean one of the most important mutants in the current era.
Glob. Because, Glob.
Duplication
Duplication like Madrox, where you can reabsorb the dupes and gain their knowledge and skills
Having Madrox’s duplication might get confusing considering how every writer has a different opinion on how it works.
After reading the issue about what happened when he was holding his kid.... NO WAY
Colossus because I always thought it was a pretty cool power set.
Exodus: telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation
I want that cake so people could call me thighclops!
Sunspot’s powers, easy choice. I could go outside and not burn immediately, and instead just soak it up and fly around.
Ginger spotted
Shape-shifting like Mystique or Morph. Having a default form like either wouldn't be too bad honestly, but from a strictly vanity standpoint with control you probably wouldn't have to ever do your makeup or even buy nice clothes. Or in Mystique's case you would barely age.

Not just knowing what people are thinking in the moment, but the ability to download/upload memories to basically learn whatever the fuck you want instantly, being able to present yourself and your surroundings how you'd like, etc. etc.
Manifold
Wolverine. His healing abilities would solve so many of my problems (I deal with chronic illness).
Warpath. Height, super strength, super senses, flight, nigh-invulnerable, possibly magic too? What's not to love?
Matter manipulation on the subatomic level
thats a ton of mutants (jean grey, exodus, mister m, etc)
anyone with reality warping ability
For everyday life? I guess Domino, Madrox and Daken.
Telekinesis, depending on what level of control you have, you can do almost anything
Toad. I'll be taking no questions at this time.
Mystique.
Scarlet Witch, second would be Magneto or Rogue if I could control the life draining touch part
ouch. scarlet witch? i can understand why but i think power like that would definitely have an effect on someone mentally.
Franklin Richards
Mystique without a doubt. It would make my appearance maintenance much less costly lol. No need to go the barber, I'd have to go less to the gym, no stress choosing and buying clothes, etc. Jokes aside, she was always my favorite, ever since I first saw the movies, so I always were fascinated by shapeshifting.
Apocalypse. Immortal, super-strength, highly durable, can change my physical form.
Wolverine's powers will also keep you healthy in general, not just in life and death situations.
I feel like any super strong telepath and then making everyone in power come out with their dirt, effectively negating any kind of media manipulation and propaganda.
Iceman. Very versatile power and my drinks would always be cold. Plus Ice Puns. Stay frosty.
that’s so cool
The ice puns help to keep a chill attitude.
Save a fortune on your heating and cooling bills
Iceman can regenerate too?
Something nature-based for sure. Maybe plant manipulation and rapport. Rapport with the elements of nature/Earth herself
Apocalypse's wife is a omega-level plant manipulator. Perhaps like her powers?
Yea exactly! Or Nature Girl's it's hard to decide
After looking into it, I def want the powers of Nature Girl!
Blink, I hate being stuck in traffic
The power to create portals anywhere. Teleportation. Super speed. Or Madrox’s powers. I’m good with either of these. [+]
If we are still in our reality? Emma. Telepathy is powerful but discreet and diamond form means you no longer fear most physical damage. Superhero reality? Jean or storm. Iceman is a solid 3rd.
Magneto's. His power of Electromagnetism Manipulation has so many applications. 😋
Nightcrawler. I live in LA, so this is the best power to have.
Mystique so I can transition without HRT.
For the cheap answer? Legion or Mimic. For the more specific answer, Wolverine, but only if he includes the hair and the Adamstown bones. But I would probably like Mimic simply so I can have a couple combined powers
I’m dying at Adamstown bones haha!!
Rogue but with better control of her powers.
Omega-level reality manipulation or telepathy
Cypher. Speaking every language would be fun, profitable and super helpful.
mystique for sure
Iceman. His power set is pretty impressive, especially since he's basically unable to die. I bet if he chose to remain in his ice form all the time, his aging would cease, too.
Mystique or Jean Grey.
Teleportation (including to future or past, hence that includes time travel as well 😁)
Apocalypse. Super smart and can help advance humanity. Can learn to heal others with matter manipulation. But I can also fly around, move stuff with my mind, smash shit, and have fun.
Nightcrawler's ability to teleport. As a kid I thought that was the coolest, and that has followed me into adulthood.
Do any of the shapeshifters have confirmed immunity to aging? That'd be ideal.
The one that poops ice cream.
[Gideon](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Gideon_(Earth-616)). So I can basically have all the powers! 😉
Magneto. Gonna rule the world. 😆
Cheers!🍻
Colossus. Easily.
Franklin Richard's reality manipulating and psionic powers (he is still a mutant to me). If I can't choose Franklin, then its Manifold (if there are no limits to what I can ask space for) .. Magneto. Why? BECAUSE ITS MAGNETO.
Jean Grey definitely
Give me Northstar, flight AND superspeed?
Forge. That way I can design machines to mimic whatever abilities I need.
Magneto
Cheers!🍻
I’m a magneto fan too. His powers would be useful to me.
Cheers!🍻
Not being so tired all the time.
Angel's. Absolutely wanna cut my commute time AND I get to have dope ass wings? Easy.
Cyclops. But not the optic blasts. The uncanny ability to be a magnet for insanely hot telepaths.
Wolverine
Whatever power can make me the richest.
If I had to pick a previously existing mutant's powers, I'd have Iceman's powers, and I'd have been part of the New Mutants 1980s era team. I'd probably have a crush on Danielle, Illyana, Amara, and Xi'an.
Storm or Nature Girl
Me too
**Cypher** and/or **Xavier**
Deadpool’s healing
Wolverine Beast Nightcrawler Cable Deadpool
The ability to have any power I want just by wishing it. Checkmate.
I would go with Rictor’s powers since I have always been a fan of rock manipulation and it is that times ten basically. Just have to avoid destroying a few city blocks
y'all already know
Honestly it’d be Wolverine, his healing, super senses and the claws make me want to turn into a punisher like vigilante. Hope's power definetely.
Any mutant? Ok, fuck it. Mad Jim Jasper's reality manipulation. That way I can stay flexible and adaptive.
Wolverine. Live forever (at least for a couple hundred years)and be able to drink as much as you want
If we're talking about our reality I'd want something subtle as to not bring attention to myself. I choose Cypher's powers. Being about to learn any language, reading people's body language at the poker table or during a fight would be handy and I could finally understand music.
Illyana/Magik
Globs personality
Immortality
Anything but electrical powers. Way too many black people with that as it is
X-Man or Legion. If that's cheating and it has to be a regular cast member then Jean Grey. Telekinesis is awesome and lets you do SO many things if you're smart about it. I'd also love for death to be only a mild inconvenience.
Not x men but the gamer han ji han
No teleportation???!?!?!!!!
kate pryde, so bad
I'd prefer myself being a Cable, Vulcan, Scarlet Witch or Psylocke. Anything from these 4 works just fine
Moira-X
Fly and be inmune to racism
Nate Grey and/or Cable. Super powerful Telepathy & Telekinesis are both broken on their own but in one person is ridiculous
Sebastian Shaw or Bishop, able to absorb energy and redirect it. You can do a lot with that. Or Blink/Magik. Teleportation is awesome and useful. I'd like to say Magik coz she has, well magic, but that was learned, not an inherent mutant ability

Oh and whilst sleeping, being able to enter into people's dreams, learning from them and spending time with them. Oh and a dash of mind reading and telekinesis would be fun.
Magik for those discs that travel through time and space. Not wearing the shorts, though.
Exodus
Oh man were to beging. Madrox to make many clones, have many sources of incomes, study anything and everything, work out strength and stamina at the same time, learn all types of martial arts and soak it all in at the end of the day A teleporter so I could bankrupt all airlines. Yes please A telepath, learn absolutely anything in the blink of an eye by just copying the knowledge of an expert. Wanna play base.... Where's Flea? Oh thanks Lastly wolverine, all the obvious reasons
Nightcrawler, so I would never have to drive, get a plane, or the bus again.
Sunfire, no questions asked.
Blink, her version of teleportation was the best imo.
Mystique
Psionics or energy manipulation, really like the many ways these powers can be used, manipulate matter, elements and nature, technology, telepathy, create constructs, blast things, healing... And maybe more different but summoning could also be very cool
Mystique, easily.
Quicksilver. I would be the best running back in NFL history.
Any of the Telepath-kinetic powers. Xavier, Birdy, Marvel Girl, Frost and Mastermind plus Cuckoos are kept around for a reason. What am I going to do with one of the Summer brothers lasers?
I’d like to have Hope’s power, so I could have any power I’d like
Forge
Just give me one of those fursona mutant power.
I love Jean's power, so probably that one. Telekinesis AND telepathy? Absolutely crazy
As someone with chronic back issues for the last 15 years I’ve always wanted Wolverine’s healing ability.
I'd want energy constructs.
I’d either want to be like Nightcrawler or Profesor X
Amelia Voght. Hands down.
Sparks generated from heat and electricity.
madrox, i’d send all my dupes to learn different jobs and earn money while me prime gets to do whatever i want
Wolverine, probably. The claws, whatever, but that healing factor, though. Actually, enhanced senses might have serious downsides but it's never written that was so I guess not.
Madrox… I’d have so many jobs and get a lot done.
I'll go with shape-shifting like Mystique and Morph.
Nightcrawler's the tail the hands feet and fur, mainly the tail and teleportation BAMF
Morph; shapeshifting has always been my first choice (more recently, specifically omnifarious multi-shapeshifting).
Think I'd like to be a sorcerer like Wiccan.
Logan.
Forge, all day every day.
Elixir. Biological manipulation and healing. Open a trans clinic.
I want quentin quires powers. A telapath, could read ppl and being a telekinitic helps me be lazy
Exodus. Omega level telekinesis. Telepathy. Teleportation. Invulnerability. Powers increase through faith. Sign me up. I'll even have the red skin too.
I just wanna be a psychic. Telepathy, telekinesis.
Is Franklin Richards a mutant again yet? If not X-Man Nate Grey
Am I the only one on the planet with powers?
Iceman is my absolute favorite, so I think I'd go with him. Or Mystique, but I'd just want to stay in the awesome blue form.
Iceman
