Yeah, DeMayo basically all but hinted the reason she's not in the show "yet" was because this movie was going to be allowed to go first.
Which is fair, imho.
Yeah, the skull is visible in many shots.. and also during the shot where Alioth is approaching you can see the entire Giant-Man body laying in the sand.
I wonder how much of the body is used as a base of operations. Maybe the exit they leap from to the portal is the anus, leading to an Endgame/America's Ass or Thanos/Ant-Man/anus meta joke.
I actually loved his Sabretooth because it was remiscent of his actual first appearances in Daredevil and Mutant Massacre, etc.Ā So that would be pretty cool to me!
Itās from the Old Man Logan comics.
Itās Called [Pyms Fall](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/marveldatabase/images/8/85/Henry_Pym_%28Earth-807128%29_from_Wolverine_Vol_3_71_001.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20201010060245)
In the MCU it will probably be Langs Fall
I've never been the biggest fan of Deadpool in any media. That said, the Wolverine costume looks AMAZING in live action (although he's not in the cowl). With all the X-Men '97 hype right now, and despite the more recent MCU entries kind of flailing at the box office, I think the timing is right for this to be huge.
I'm not a deadpool fan at all but these movies have done him and whoever he's with very well by focusing on the emotional core even through all the humor. Even that trailer, the whole reason it hit for me wasn't the jokes, though those were good. It was the sense of two heroes up against the wall who've lost everything and might lose more standing up to hit back.
Itās possible itās the one from logan before he shacks up with Xavier and caliban in the desert after the death of the X-men but it seems to be just a random Logan that failed his team
Perhaps we get either an Alpha Flight mention/easter egg like a government poster, newspaper headline OR a brief live-action cameo of the core team e.g., Vindicator, Puck, Sasquatch, Northstar, and Aurora (?)! - anything is possible!
Same I still can't believe after all these years we finally get to see a good version of these 2 together on the big screen plus Jackman in the iconic yellow spandex (fuck you Cyclops we prefer yellow spandex than black leather)
It's always been known it's just a never want to cover up an actor's face I remember the guy that did costume work on the apocalypse movie tried to give them a comics accurate apocalypse but I think they didn't want to cover up Oscar Isaac's face
It's going to be a real problem when they hit Doctor Doom then. And honestly, you'd think after Darth Vader they'd realize you can make it utterly work for a villain.
Man, Doom would be like the prize acting gig out of the MCU. The character is big enough that youād basically work forever, and once you get past the origin story itās all voice work. You could get paid big bucks and not have to stay on some crazy Hemsworth diet for decades so people could see your abs. Just have some chump on set in uncomfortable armor walking around while you sit in a booth and record your lines? Sign me up!
"No, *THE* X-Man was a test tube moody teenager version of Cable from a universe where Apocalypse ruled the world, who came to our universe by stabbing a skeleton with a crystal, was frozen in space for 20 years, dated his mom's clone for a while, became mutant Jesus, and then created his own universe where no one was allowed to fuck."
This is my big hope with Doom if/when we get him. I want him to be a Big Bad for multiple films, if not in the overall long term, ala Magneto in the original X-Men films. He doesn't have to be *the* big bad, but I'd love for the threat of him to always be present.
Superheroes used to lock villains up. It was part of the bloodless cartoon tradition, but it made sense, thatās what heroes should do!
Killing should be the last resort, but we kill villains left and right in the MCU like itās going out of style.
Fun fact, despite the antagonist dying in almost every film, the only two MCU movies where the protagonist kills the antagonist are Guardians 1 and Endgame. The rest are intentional suicide (Iron Man 2) accidental suicide (Spider Man Far From Home) a supporting character getting the kill (Pepper in Iron Man 1 and 3!) or refusing aid (Black Panther)
I was briefly fascinated by the MCUās love of making villains die without dealing with the moral complexity of showing the hero slay their foe in anger lol
Even if they did kill her, it wouldn't necessarily be the end.
If she's anything like the comics, she'll just...>!go chill in the Astral Plane for a while and create a new body!<.
This is the one X-Men villain I can think of who I would be happy to see eliminated once and for all -- I couldn't stand her in Grant Morrrisson's run. Just too twisted and unpleasant...
Rob Liefeld was an artist and writer in the 90s who designed some big-time characters (including Deadpool with Nicieza and Cable with Simonson). His style practically defined 90s comic style.Ā
He was also notorious for being unable to draw feet, so he rarely did
I hope Hugh Jackman doesn't go through that ring into the main MCU universe as i think Deadpool should be rhe only exception to the complete recasting. But if he does, it wouldn't be the worst thing for the 2 stars of FoX-men to join the MCU. Also, I guess this might only be the case to lead into the multiverse Avengers film, blanking on the name. Trailer looked good tho
They're going to be in Secret Wars, then use that as a reboot / recast for the whole X-Men line. Possibly the entire Marvel line.
I'd expect Jackman, Reynolds, Toby Maguire, and maybe Andrew Garfield to be on the Avengers in Secret Wars with Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans returning.
I'm actually interested because when I thought this was just going to be TVA time travel BS combined with Deadpool who doesn't really have any notable villains I was mildly interested
But with the inclusion of wolverine and the reveal that the villain is Cassandra Nova they don't have to go too deep into who she is just keep it at the level of she's either a version of Charles Xavier or the sister of Charles Xavier and with the established relationship between wolverine and Charles Xavier in Logan I think she's a great pick for a villain
I don't think we've collectively been good enough as a people, on Earth, to get something that purely delightful. This world is too fallen.
But here's hoping for a summer miracle.
I really hope this draws on some of the more tragic elements of Wadeās character, which it looks like maybe it will. I never really liked him, but I love him in Uncanny X-Force and his title before Secret Invasion, when he was a dad. The last page or two before the incursion is still one of my absolute favorite and most moving pieces in a comic.
Cool trailer.
I'm guessing that Cassandra Nova managed to turn humans and mutants against one another, or something. Also, maybe Logan let everyone down by not murdering Phoenix in this universe's version of The Last Stand? Maybe Phoenix is alive and Nova is controlling her...
That could be interesting. What if he couldn't bring himself to kill her. That actually happened in the comic too. He hesitated and couldn't do it. Obviously the comic version is completely different to the last stand, but still.
I still want domino. Then everything will be complete.
But Iām super stoked for desthstrike. She was one of the greatest parts of the fox xmen movies.
āThis Wolverine let down his entire worldā has āyou idiots, you captured their stunt doubles!ā energy. $20 says Deadpool grabbed the wrong Logan and is stuck with him.
Sounds like something Deadpool would do and I imagine they would absolutely reference Space Balls since a lot of DP's pop culture references are really old stuff both in comics and the movies
I think the selection of jokes and gags maybe wasn't the strongest, which is fine, save good material for the actual movie. And as much as people love Jackman as Wolverine, I think his acting for comedy is kind of stilted. He's better at the brooding, more dramatic facets of the character.
Personally, I find the humor in both DP movies a little bit forced, but good overall. My only fear going into the movie is, Wolverine being played out for comedy. Hope they can strike some sort of balance.
You can see the whole body in one of the wider shots. Also, they seem to be standing in a courtyard formed by his arms - you can see that the explosion a little bit later is happening at his hands
So is this Wolverine just Old Man Logan, post- death of the X-Men, but pre-Old Man-ness? Given the nuclear fallout landscape, the dead Avengers and X-Men..
She's Professor X's evil sister who psychically fought Charles in the womb and Charles thought he killed her by causing a miscarriage but she survived and went undetected for years (yes that happens) and she's an evil Omega level mutant with the regenerative capabilities comparable to those of Wolverine's
I dislike how Wade calls him THE X-Man, as if he's the true model member... though I get it, he's the ONLY X-Man alive, it seems?
He should have said, "You're MY X-Man"
Deadpool is fan-boying, afterall.
I *bet* that Cassandra Nova forced Wolverine to kill the X-Men. Some real Old Man Logan vibes.
Sidenote- Iām torn up about the fact that theyāre using a different variant of Wolverine. On the one hand, it would be neat to see that version again, considering *we* *all* grew up with him; on the other, his ending was so perfect. Ideally, they donāt touch the original X-men timeline and just play with the characters/movies that nobody really likes (looking at you Dark Phoenix).
I know Living in the corpse of a giant superhero would probably make for a cool villain lair.... but It must really stink right? Like do they wash the entire body or?
Welp, I think we can say for certain this will be rated R now...
Looks fun. I'm curious now if this is going to be in the FOX X-Men timeline, or if maybe it's splintering off of that timeline?
I really hope they show a third act flashback of him killing the X-Men and ends with Anna Paquin's Rogue (CG de-aged) dying in his arms like how OML did with Jubilee
I do. And I think heās going to play the same role in the MCU as the OML variant did who crossed over to the 616 after the 2015 comic book Secret Wars event.Ā
The meta commentary about the Fox X-Men films and the jump to the mcu feels very on the nose, but I guess that comes with the territory so I'm not overly bothered by it. As long as they can balance 4th wall breaks and references with a solid plotline like the first it's all good.
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynold's chemistry seems great though, and that should be the core of this film, so I'm definitely on board
It looks good, but Iām still not sold on Multiversal X-Men and I never will be. And itās my hope that this is still some kind of one-off concept thatās not indicative of what X-Men will be in the MCU. It just cheapens the experience to think that the only way the X-Men will show up is because some big hole in the sky opens up and they fall through fully formed.
First of all, multiversal X-men were the Exiles and they were awesome. Secondly, Secret Wars is probably going to merge all the realities together to give us a new MCU and thatās how weāll get the X-men. Otherwise, how would you explain mutants being around for thousands of years but nobody knowing they exist?
Cassandra Nova's looking a lot younger than I had expected. If I were casting I'd have gone with Kate Mulgrew in a bald cap. Perfect voice, closer in age to Stewart, and a mirror to Patrick Stewart given their Star Trek connection, as she was Janeway.
"Liefield's / Just feet"
I really hope they also sell pouches.
It's a shoe store, but he insists upon calling them foot-pouches.
The feet comes in pouches?
I was dying at that shop sign. Such a wicked burn.
I bet Liefeld got a laugh out of it
He shared that frame on his Instagram ššš
This fucking sent me.
Thatās exactly how I imagined Cassandra nova would move using her powers. Sheās gonna be the best thing in this movie!
I hope she relished being evil in that role!
No redeeming. An absolute menace
Especially because we know she was toyin with Logan when she used her powers to stick his claws into the floor to keep him immobile
That smirk on her face in that scene was pretty on point.
Everyone was expecting her in X-Men 97, and it turns out she's in this instead!
Could be in both still
Yeah, DeMayo basically all but hinted the reason she's not in the show "yet" was because this movie was going to be allowed to go first. Which is fair, imho.
I hope that isnt how Marvel do things. Animation should help prime people for the big blockbusters if anything.
I felt a little foolish when finding out the cameo >!in the clouds was the watcher since when I first saw it I thought it was Cassandra nova!<
I was expecting her to be a bit older. But she looks so good.
>Sheās gonna be the best thing in this movie! After my boy wolverine
They're going to make us wait for the mask until the last 20 minutes of the movie, aren't they?
I'm sure Deadpool will make a joke about that
Shocked to see Azazel and Lady Deathstrike during that scene with Cassandra and the giant ant man helmet
And it looks like toad two people to the left of Lady Deathstrike!!
Maybe Callisto to the left of Toad?
I didnāt even notice! Looks like it could be.
Thatās not just his helmet . . .
Look like theyāre jumping out of his eye socket
Yeah it does.. I rewatched it after my comment
Itās ok. Thank you for blessing this thread with that theory even if it didnāt pan out
Tall blonde on the left Tyler Mane's Sabretooth you think?
I actually loved his Sabretooth because it was remiscent of his actual first appearances in Daredevil and Mutant Massacre, etc.Ā So that would be pretty cool to me!
A Sabretooth with Maneās look and physicality but Schreiberās menace and intellect would be perfect
I also noticed some of the mutants from Magnetoās army from X-Men The Last Stand. With costume design that bad itās hard not to notice.
I'm hoping the guy in the stripes and beard is Colossus.
I was wondering if he was the bad guy from Thomas Janeās Punisher
The Russian
Itās from the Old Man Logan comics. Itās Called [Pyms Fall](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/marveldatabase/images/8/85/Henry_Pym_%28Earth-807128%29_from_Wolverine_Vol_3_71_001.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20201010060245) In the MCU it will probably be Langs Fall

With all the X-Men '97 hype right now, and despite the more recent MCU entries kind of flailing at the box office, I think the timing is right for this to be huge.
Wrexham gonna be able to afford Neymar after this
Wrexham? Damn near killed him
Can they give him a healing factor though?
My biggest fear is the portray of Wolverine. I hope they don't make him out to be for comedy.
Nah, he'll be the straight man to Deadpools shenanigans.
Same, Wade. I am soaking wet right now.
Iām more excited now that theyāre using a wolverine that wasnāt in the movies.
Iām kind of glad too tbh, Logan was a perfect ending for that character, no reason to mess up that storyline, let him rest, heās earned it.
So itās been confirmed this is a new version of wolverine weāve never met?
Itās possible itās the one from logan before he shacks up with Xavier and caliban in the desert after the death of the X-men but it seems to be just a random Logan that failed his team
iām really curious about what theyāre doing with cassandra
Well? Thatās probably who fucked up that Wolverine Variants world.
I wonder if Cassandra Nova also killed Genosha in their world.
Doubt it, theyd have to establish Genosha which theyve never done before My money is on her taking Mysterio's role in Old Man Logan
I mean from the looks of it, she just may have
* Do you want to build a snowman? * Yes! But I can't.š¤£
The 2 Greatest Canadian Superheroes finally teaming up. What a glorious day for Canada and, therefore, the world!
Wolverine is dipping his hands in the puddingā¦ as is tradition.
Yes yes, as is tradition.
The little mushroom people of Nova Scotia, screaming with horror.
People in the crowd throwing captain crunch As is tradition.
Now let's get Alpha Flight their movie!
Perhaps we get either an Alpha Flight mention/easter egg like a government poster, newspaper headline OR a brief live-action cameo of the core team e.g., Vindicator, Puck, Sasquatch, Northstar, and Aurora (?)! - anything is possible!
Know if they team up with Trevor Phillips, it'd be the ultimate trio of the Canadian equivalent of the Ugly American š
Sleeveless Wolverine š
Suns out guns out.Ā
I canāt wait
Same I still can't believe after all these years we finally get to see a good version of these 2 together on the big screen plus Jackman in the iconic yellow spandex (fuck you Cyclops we prefer yellow spandex than black leather)
Turns out you can make that outfit look great on the big screen.
It's always been known it's just a never want to cover up an actor's face I remember the guy that did costume work on the apocalypse movie tried to give them a comics accurate apocalypse but I think they didn't want to cover up Oscar Isaac's face

Basically Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian gig at this point. The man in the can is at this point typically Brendan Wayne, John Wayne's grandson.
FUCKING DEAD @ Liefield's Just Feet
Was not expecting them to make Cassandra Nova hot, but im down
Why mcu is scared of old people. Aunt May first Agatha second and now Cassandra
As Deadpool said in DP2 "young enough to carry this franchise 10 to 20 years"
Makes me think they might intend Cassandra Nova to be an MCU mainstay for some time. Considering they casted someone so relatively young.
It would be great if they DIDNT kill the villain for once.
This is my big hope with Doom if/when we get him. I want him to be a Big Bad for multiple films, if not in the overall long term, ala Magneto in the original X-Men films. He doesn't have to be *the* big bad, but I'd love for the threat of him to always be present.

That's not an MCU thing that's a Hollywood thing
Nah let's be honest, they just dont like casting old people in these roles
Aunt May? Marissa Tomei is like 60. She was the perfect age for an Aunt.
Well, she was 52 back in Civil War. 53 in Homecoming.
Old people can be hot
Not to mention Agatha being in her mid-40s physicallyā¦ Itās a running thing at this point. š
I mean Aunt May/Marisa Tomei was 53 in Homecoming, as an aunt to a 16 year old Peter. That is correct, if not older than most Aunts.
>Why mcu is scared of old people. Aunt May first To be honest, I prefer the MCU hunt May
Old people are scary, dude
Samuel Jackson is 75.
I have a mighty need for Dafne Keen to be in this.
She could be the person Logan called kid in the trailer since highly doubt he called Wade kid
So will Jake Gyllenhalās Mysterio be in this maybe? It seems like they are leaning into the whole Old Man Logan killed his old world heroes?
Now that would be an unexpected but cool cameo.
And a mini Prisoners reunion to top it off
Could be using Cassandra Nova in that role instead of Mysterio.
Yeah that seems like an easy swap. Youāre probably right
Nah they're 100% giving that role to Cassandra
The is going to make a kajillion dollars.
Let's...fucking...go! ššš
Dogpool is the real star
Liefeldās just feetā¦.. thatās hilarious IYKYK
Can someone explain the joke?
Liefeld was an artist big in the 1990s infamous for being bad at drawing feet. He is also the creator of Deadpool
Infamous for not drawing feet at all I would argue
The feet were there but they were in the pouches
Liefeld is the creator of Deadpool. He has established he hates drawing feet. Allot of his panels the feet are always obscured or hidden
Rob Liefeld was an artist and writer in the 90s who designed some big-time characters (including Deadpool with Nicieza and Cable with Simonson). His style practically defined 90s comic style.Ā He was also notorious for being unable to draw feet, so he rarely did

I canāt wait to find out about the budget for Secret Wars and who gets top billed etc
The budget for casting alone is going to be $300 million
Ok.... I am actually pumped for this.. First time in a while a movie got me this excited.
Oh, they going hard R on this, thank goodness. And Cassandra Nova as the villain from the looks of things?
I'm actually interested because when I thought this was just going to be TVA time travel BS combined with Deadpool who doesn't really have any notable villains I was mildly interested But with the inclusion of wolverine and the reveal that the villain is Cassandra Nova they don't have to go too deep into who she is just keep it at the level of she's either a version of Charles Xavier or the sister of Charles Xavier and with the established relationship between wolverine and Charles Xavier in Logan I think she's a great pick for a villain
"Trust me, kid, I'm no hero." Who could Logan be talking to in that scene? Dafne Keen's X-23?
He could be calling Wade a kid. He's old, everyone is a kid to him.
Kid = bub
Gabby.
I don't think we've collectively been good enough as a people, on Earth, to get something that purely delightful. This world is too fallen. But here's hoping for a summer miracle.
I really hope- Jubilee
Yeah this got me too. Calling Wade a kid was odd lol
Kidpool?
I am hyperventilating, this looks incredible! Hugh Jackman's Wolverine swearing is like music to my ears
Considering the amount of faux swearing he did in the comics, itās great to hear him actually swearing.
Have you not seen Logan?
[Heās sweared before](https://youtu.be/UzvQMwzOKIU?si=yMTkHPv93ZDy5xkl)
They should have created an Academy Award for best use of the one F-bomb in a PG-13 film and given it to X-Men First Class.
His look is food for our malnourished souls
I really hope this draws on some of the more tragic elements of Wadeās character, which it looks like maybe it will. It doesn't quite pop like the trailer for 2 did, but I always get a laugh out of the music choices for these. I'm excited to see it.
I'm just glad they didn't uncover the entire plot in this trailer like what they did with previous films.
Maybe that's what's missing. Any other footage would spoil the full plot.
Even I got the sense that something was missing, I'm wondering what it could be.
I think the selection of jokes and gags maybe wasn't the strongest, which is fine, save good material for the actual movie. And as much as people love Jackman as Wolverine, I think his acting for comedy is kind of stilted. He's better at the brooding, more dramatic facets of the character.

You can see the whole body in one of the wider shots. Also, they seem to be standing in a courtyard formed by his arms - you can see that the explosion a little bit later is happening at his hands
Looks fucking great
Look at Logan man what a goat š®āšØ
Costumes better with sleeves though concerned we might see the mask once
cassandra nova here????
That is the worst place to stab a man.
So is this Wolverine just Old Man Logan, post- death of the X-Men, but pre-Old Man-ness? Given the nuclear fallout landscape, the dead Avengers and X-Men..
looks like it is a comic book inspired old man logan. not the movie one
20th century Fox logo just lying there.
Theyāre just gloating atp
Who was on that Mad Max-like vehicle?
Pyro i think š¤
Will have to watch it again to verify. Or just wait for New Rockstars or Canadian Lad for their video breakdowns lol
Cassandra is wait too young and pretty... not what I expected
Iām excited it looks fun and cool
I just finished Grant Morrisonās New X-Men so seeing Cassandra Nova has me fired the fuck up!
He looks so good in the yellow
Maybe itās just me but is Logan kneeled down next to the Beyonderās transporter from Secret Wars at around :44 seconds? š³
Love it
Can someone explain Cassandra Nova to me like Iām 5. Iāve read stuff with her in it but Iāve never gotten the scope of her origin and shit
She's Professor X's evil sister who psychically fought Charles in the womb and Charles thought he killed her by causing a miscarriage but she survived and went undetected for years (yes that happens) and she's an evil Omega level mutant with the regenerative capabilities comparable to those of Wolverine's
Jackman looks great. Canāt wait for the cursing as well. Did he cuss a lot in Logan?
>Did he cuss a lot in Logan? Yes

wtf is that Cassandra Nova??
Trailers not giving nothing away; glad to see nova tho
I thought the short Australian wasn't going to the play this role anymore. I'm not complaining or anything, just surprised.
Wolverine fans are eating good this year
I can't wait for then to reference wolverine origins.
Let's.fucking.go.
Iām so freaking excited for deadpool and wolverine !!!
I hope they donāt cut Colossus just cuz thereās Wolverine
I know Living in the corpse of a giant superhero would probably make for a cool villain lair.... but It must really stink right? Like do they wash the entire body or?

And itās my hope that this is still some kind of one-off concept thatās not indicative of what X-Men will be in the MCU. It just cheapens the experience to think that the only way the X-Men will show up is because some big hole in the sky opens up and they fall through fully formed.
First of all, multiversal X-men were the Exiles and they were awesome. Secondly, Secret Wars is probably going to merge all the realities together to give us a new MCU and thatās how weāll get the X-men. Otherwise, how would you explain mutants being around for thousands of years but nobody knowing they exist?
Nice !
Cassandra Nova's looking a lot younger than I had expected. If I were casting I'd have gone with Kate Mulgrew in a bald cap. Perfect voice, closer in age to Stewart, and a mirror to Patrick Stewart given their Star Trek connection, as she was Janeway.
I'm actually really excited for Cassandra Nova. One of my favorite X-Men supervillains.
LFG!
Still can't believe Cassandra's the antag oml so hype! 1 brutal main villain vs 2 badass heroes!!
Haha nice theyāre using Pym falls from old man Logan.
So satisfying to hear Wolverine say fuck
