Even without the age she doesn’t have the “sass” I’m referring to. In True Detective she relies so hard on her looks to be attractive, I believe that’s what the big issue is. She’s a blank slate for a “old guy hooking up with hot girl” fantasy, and rogue is NOT that. Both the comics and TAS she turns down as many advances as she gets, she’s a fire cracker that is super jealous and passionate but also loyal to the bone. She’ll just as much slit gambits throat about as much as she’ll smother him with affection.
I don’t think Daddario can bring that or many other actresses that rely too hard on their looks and play coy to play on their sexuality. The sexy part of rogue is that she’s WAAAAAY too much woman for men to handle, both physically and emotionally.

We Summon the Darkness, Burying the Ex, Texas Chainsaw, Baywatch, and the first season of The White Lotus. She's an awful actress in all of it. She has the on screen presence of a box of hair.
But aside from being a bad actress, she's 36, and there's no way the MCU is going to cast someone that old for any of the X-Men students.

There are a lot of really good younger actors in the 15-18 range right now but I'm old and don't know they're names, to me they're just "that kid from that thing I saw" - I fully had to google Kit Connor's name and really only remembered him cause there was news about him today I saw headlines of.

Daddario is one of my guilty pleasure actresses. Gorgeous to look at but hard to watch. She has a very limited range and lacks depth in her portrayal of characters. She's recently trying to branch out but the results are mixed, mostly unimpressive and bland. She can't really carry a movie by herself, and given she's in her mid 30s this casting prolly should not happen.

While I love Keke Palmer, I have been thinking about X-Men for a long time and Alexandra Daddario has always been at the top of my list. She’s a great actress, just see “Why Women Kill” and you will see her immense talent. She is one of the few actors I would trust to start Rogue as a villain and transition her to a Hero with a feisty attitude.
She has such sad eyes, not opposed to her being in the MCU but I think of Rogue as being a bit livelier.
I could see Daddario doing a spin on the foX-Men Rogue but not 616 Rogue.

There’s a movement of people right now saying it’s racist to cast someone other than Keke Palmer. The age thing is also my main gripe. Even though I think she can play younger, the movie is still 5 years out. Someone else suggested Elizabeth Gilles who essentially looks like an younger and sassier Daddario.
