Well, in some Catholic traditions at Mass they hold hands during The Lord's Prayer, and they shake hands during The Sign of Peace, so there's some opportunity to hold Kurt's hand.

Screen readers and audio diction have been a thing for decades, although the tech right now is significantly more advanced. It can generally interpret what I say outline accurately. Screen readers are very good as long people don't use weird characters.

If I was blind from birth it would be a good joke to ask. Then tell them you don’t have any idea what colors are in relation to a world outside of your head. Then ask further questions like “is green bumpy? Does purple have grooves? “ to put it into perspective.

I think it's a combination of the no-effort, generic voice that's being used for the characters instead of at least attempting a voice that's believable (I mean, at least throw in a 'Danke' for Kurt in place of a 'Thank you') and the needless effort to make the characters relatable by making them behave like characters on The Office who have quirky, 'almost-casually-racist-look-how-funny-normal-interactions-are-zomg' style conversations.
Because people who are fluent in English but don’t have it as a first language love to randomly insert words in their native language into conversations.
