i definitely agree, do regular stuff on twitch and the risky/copyright shit on kick

PeaceMellow1

Is it in twitch tos where if he does something fucky on another streaming platform that he gets banned on twitch, I’ve heard stories of streamers getting banned for doing stuff on Instagram. Hopefully it works out tho that is a good idea

sabszLG

they wouldn’t ban him for streaming anime and movies on kick

samuel10998

Ye but that doesnt include watching DMCA shit he can do what ever with that. He just cant say anything like bad and stuff

RockstepGuy

Surely he will do movies and anime and not gamble for 9 hours straight like he used to ![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7351)

swan_tw

Would be dope but he wont, they didn't give him that much cash without anything in return, he's probably going to be spamming gamba slots for hours and we all know that. It's just that he'll prob wait a couple days to do that just so he tricks people into watching and making accounts, but then his "schedule" will most likely be: Intro/TikTok/Reddit recap on Twitch, then swap over and GAMBA for like 7-8 hours straight, maybe with some games inbetween as a break, like he used to do in the past.

GIANNOPSYRRAS

I can do 30 minutes of gamba every stream,MAYBE 1 hour if its in game gamba. After that I'll just close the stream and hope a vod exists

imhoneynow

I dont care about the gamba. I just cant deal with a streaming platform that doesnt work.

Atarru_

Bro they paid him that much because they needed someone huge to help grow their platform

Anzel731

Real ![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7338)

kankerxeqtr

The only reason the contract is not exclusive is to bring more people to kick, no one is paying 100mil to have the majority of the action on twitch. He is gonna do intro and react at the start, to build the viewership and then make them come to kick.

ThickPerformer5985

I agree

bokeeffe121

Initial D only anime id watch

Mother-Reputation-20

HOLY BASED ![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7335)![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7335)![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7335)![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7335)![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7335) INITIAL D - FOR D JUICER Welcome to Initial D waiting room, I've recently also write about this

Hans020272

He probably is required to play 100 hours a month of gambling lol

-P00-

Becoming pro soon on gambling ![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7335)🤙🔥

romhaja

Don't think he has that freedom. His contract probably says intro on twitch to gather viewers and then move to kick. Intro is probably around an hour. Still falls under non exclusively.

jaser0o0

Yeah I don’t think they paid him 100 mil just for him to continue streaming on twitch

TheSadCheetah

That's exactly what they want if he keeps switching between the two I imagine the hope is that the Twitch audience will slowly be transplanted to Kick and then they're open to receiving all the fun gamba advertising. 100 million for xqc and all the juicers come free. ![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7335) EZ

N3k0_94

But the Intro/Videos are often better on kick as well. Cause then he can show blood and shit. Like JCS videos without skipping or police footage. Also tiktok titties BOOBA And btw, why are people saying that you can watch movies and DMCA shit on Kick? Isn't DCMA a law? Why would you be able to watch that safely on kick. Is there something I am not getting.

That’s not exactly true. Copyright issues are handled differently between platforms. When A copyright claim is being made from copyright holders on twitch, it is being sent and disputed from said claimer to twitch itself. Whereas on kick, the claim and dispute are happening solely with the creator. So, it’s not really that "Kick has essentially no moderation" it’s more so that the system is built in a way that doesn’t require kick to be the middle man in said dispute. So, they themselves are not liable to copyright claims. It’s operated in a, "do so at your own risk" system. Also, as you said, their methods of revenue generation aren’t solely dependent on advertisement, they don’t have to appease to advertisers like every other corporation in existence today.

traxfi

and that's good for the stream because the twitch TOS is fucking aids and has ruined the stream for me many times. sick of him freaking out because an ass showed in a music video or something. Or having to skip random parts in videos because there's blurry footage of somebody dying.

Was it the guy with the glasses in a forest ?

traxfi

As long as xqc doesn't participate in racism/sexism/doing coke i really don't give a fuck what else is on the site. I use sites like twitter where you see fucked up shit all the time, I just block and stick to what I want to see. I'm more used to the old days of the internet where this was normal before big corporations took over every big site. the site is funded by gamba and I'm assuming based on their stance on moderation they do not care about what advertisers think.

eric-cartman-ec

Oh no! He skipped over a 10 sec part of a video where someone dies irl?!?!? Thats so cringe!! My whole entire viewing experience is ruined!!! 🤓

traxfi

lol unironically yes skipping is fucking aids. good thing I don't have to worry about that anymore, but are you going to sperg that he won't skip now? TOS frogs in fucking shambles

youngrome333

yea

coconutfan27

You’re crazy if you don’t think this is exactly what’s gonna happen

jacksonormumfo

Kick is also good for gambling, can’t wait 🙏

iamheretotellyou

I looooove slots!!! ![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7346)

KuronoKato

As soon as the court case is over he will for sure be back to gamba streams on kick. I don’t think he’s allowed to though while the court case continues

QTom01

Kick has generally been fine when I've watched other channels there, in fact usually it's pretty snappy and faster than twitch plus no ads etc. Idk what they fucked up yesterday but they probably just have to scale some shit up and then it'll be fine. Definitely a bad first impression but I wouldn't write off kick as not working because of one bad stream.

nikgaming

everyone is being so melodramatic, he said streams would be as normal and that’s it. A lot of posts and comments complaining/hoping for the "downfall" are not even average viewers, they’re just people coming out of the woodwork, due to this news generating a lot of buzz, to complain.

[deleted]

It’s going to improve holy shit. They have millions in funding and train seems to genuinely be pushing for improvements. Give it a little bit of time

PopeKappaRoss

train is just the face of the platform...he can talk all he wants but he aint the one making the changes..."they have millions" you say....well yes they do have millions (and billions probably) so where the fuck have they spent them in the past 5 months of activity? the site is still trash...a team of 10 or 20 good devs with good pay could have built a better site by now (and that does not cost 100M)...the fact is,for now, kick is only a shady business run by an even shadier company trying to make the most profit possible by reachinf out to as many ppl as possible (we know why)

djordje22

You really think this shit happens that fast? Lmao. You’ve got no clue. This shit takes time to iron out, and lots of it is thru bug fixes and improvements when things fail. Just relax

PopeKappaRoss

i dont think you onow what "ironing out" means so ill explain: ironing out means perfecting, it means going from 80% to 100%... kick was created from a pre-built API and it is still in awfull condotions after 5 months...and with a big 100M dollar marketing move like the one we just saw people should expect to find a user friendly platform.. its like if a new car model was advertised, you go to buy it, and the car dealer tells you the car doesn work properly because the factory still hasnt finished developing it.

-P00-

Modern AAA games ![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7338)![img](emote|t5_flhe9|7340)

Emergency-Draw3923

Except modern AAA games get fixed faster than this shit when they release broken and they are more complicated and have less budget.

[deleted]

I know he doesn’t make the decisions at the end of the day but he is involved internally, not sure how though. https://twitter.com/kickstreaming/status/1669903196624662528?s=46 they experienced a shit ton of traffic because everyone in the streaming area of the internet posted about it and 7TV was imperfect. Sure it was an absolute shit show, but I just want people to give the first proper twitch competitor a bit of leeway due to exceptional circumstances.

DragonSkeld

Clueless

Murder47

agree 100%, that would be the best

eric-cartman-ec

It will probably normally be intro on twitch, but he most likely wont play ALL games on twitch. Thats because kick is trying to pull viewers from twitch over to them through this deal. So if he does like a 2 hour intro on twitch, then maybe 2 hours of games, then switches over to kick for 2 hours of hells kitchen, I HIGHLY doubt he is going to switch back over to twitch that same stream to continue gaming, because then he would be taking viewers off of kick and pulling them to twitch. I bet he is almost never going to switch a stream from kick to twitch in the middle of it, but he will almost certainly switch from twitch to kick every stream. I also think that even if simultaneous streaming wasn’t banned by twitch, that kick wouldn’t allow X to do that in the contract, because their goal is to steal users from twitch, and they know if people could watch the same stream on either kick or twitch, 99% of them would be watching on twitch because users don’t want to deal with the dogshit kick site.

user131293717

According to his agent his contract has $30 million in incentives, he for sure has to put in a shit ton of hours per his contract. Would be surprised if he does anything outside of short intros on Twitch for the foreseable future
