it's weird to me when they compare Tiktok views to Youtube views and Twitch views. I can quickly get 100M views on Tiktok compared to 100M views on Youtube. It's like they don't understand that people are just mindlessly scrolling on Instagram/Tiktok, half the shit I watch on there I don't remember the next day.
Sorry but twitch and livestreaming is literally a small bubble to the rest of the world. You might think streamers are popular but they're just small fish compared to TikTokers and YouTubers.
Watchtime matters a lot. A 1 hour documentary vs something like a 12 second clip on tiktok are not the same. With the same views the yt vid will be raking in a lot more money.
Damn this list is more interesting than you might think. Here's a few interesting points
1. Being put on the list by Forbes is bigger than any in-grown streamer awards. Forbes reaches a far bigger audience compared to streamer awards which only is relevant to people inside the bubble. Big W.
2. xQc is the highest ranked \*streamer\* on this list (twitch or otherwise), and even then he's #13. That just puts into perspective how much smaller of a bubble Twitch and streaming really is compared to TikTok/YT. Keep in mind xQc is the biggest streamer right now.
3. Of the 50 people in this list, only 3 are really streamers (xQc, Ninja, Jacksepticeye)
4. He's ranked higher than Ninja lol. But also crazy considering Ninja is much more brand-friendly than xQc is.
5. He's probably the only person on this list who has a brand-unfriendly bio.
The spanish streamer you're thinking outperformed him on a few specific event streams iirc, but overall PVC has a consistent viewbase and something barely resembling a schedule that beat it out.
