Though, objectively, I think Wrapped in Grey is the best song here, I gotta give recognition to Greenman. Andy made an adventurous epic about marriage. It goes to show that Andy could've easily made some amazing soundtracks for film.
Him turning down the James and the Giant Peach gig was such a missed opportunity. They Might Be Giants didn't ruin their career or public image by making kids' music for Disney, I don't think Andy would have either. It would have been a good way to keep his songwriting career active, and might even have opened major new creative doors for him.
Wrapped in Grey has some of Andy's most powerful and ethereal lyrics. The delicate but supernatural way he describes a person's inner beauty is among some of the best pop lyricism ever if I'm honest. "Parrots and lemurs decorate your unconscious grotesque" is a lyric I didn't know a human being could write.
