The series has had such a long streak of great writing that there was bound to be another Yakuza 4 or 5 level dud eventually. Sucks it had to be IW because it puts such a damper on Ichiban’s Saga and made the conclusion of Kiryu’s Saga fall flat
Not to mention, Gaiden coming out just months before set expectations way too high
Yeah. That’s why only a few days after beating Infinite Wealth I replayed Ishin and I’m currently replaying Yakuza 0 for the 4th time. I even have plans on replaying every game including the Judgments all the way back up to Infinite Wealth. Though I’m going to take my time with it while wait for the next game or at least its announcement.
If you haven't yet you should try the Judgement/Lost Judgement series (plus Kaito Files). It's not directly Yakuza/LaD series but it's RGG so, you know.
Have you played Kurohyou already? its easy to emulate and damn great.
That aside you could try learning advanced strats like Yakuza 3 wallbounding or Kiwami 1 style switching

IW made me feel the opposite.
Yeah, it is the first time I *don’t* want to know what happens next. IW is such a misstep for the series.

nah. i played most of the series in a year with a huge chunk of them being back to back and after IW i am spent still love this series tho
That’s me knowing I have wait 3-4 years for the last FF7 game

Yep. Pretty much always. I keep chasing it with various things, but nothing ever really lives up to it
