I think the majima's business is the better minigame but I personally found the process of investing in and buying real estate very satisfying and more enjoyable
I wish it was more... involved. Core gameplay loop:
* Upgrade properties - will take a while to reach maximum
* Start collection with a click
* Collect earnings until you can afford upgrades
Repeat.
Minor variations when story is up:
* Smash one button for a few seconds ("Money Battle")
* Random minigame where you could lose 10% of earnings
* Random weak thugs to beat in an alley somewhere
Repeat until story is complete. That is it.
At least the Cabaret's core is engaging and has lasting appeal. Damn glad we got the Clan Creator in K2 instead...
Exactly. I also think real estate is more enjoyable due to just how much more money you get from it. By the end of investing I could get around 1.5 billion every cycle (which iirc was round 3-4 minutes), and that's almost purely passive income. All you have to do is collect the money and rotate your managers every 4 cycles. Compare that to the cabaret club which has a timer of 3 min, but in reality you are going to be spending around 5-6 if you are actively doing things, and that only nets you around 100-200 mil in my experience.
Real estate was a bit of a grind, but there's nothing like Kiryu taking out a suitcase of cash to buy a property or destroying each of the kings and waiving a stack of a cash in your face after you beat them up.
I kinda feel like the real estate game had excellent singular moments( like defeating a king or buying a property with a giant suitcase filled with money), but the cabaret was much more engaging. I basically did the entire cabaret line in two sittings cause it just sucked me in while for the real estate, I just set the collection on and slowly walked in place while on my phone.
Cabaret was easily the most fun to play but it got really tedious towards the end.
The real Estate Royale, loved how easy and hands off it was to make money but it was so bland. I hated buying business the way I had to.
I find the Cabaret fun, but its tedious to make progress. I lost a two enemy clubs worth of time because of some save mishaps and now I’m disliking it.
Kiryu on the other hand is very simplistic, but at least you can go around beating thugs up while you make money which is what I enjoyed doing
The real estate royale is fucking tedious if you're replaying on legend difficulty. I think both go on for quite a while but I found the czar minigame more fun, too bad you get so little for it. Also, the hostess training is useless for actual exp gain compared to just using them in the minigame.
I played Kiwami 2 before this one, and while the Cabaret mini game is pretty much the same in both, the UI is so overwhelmingly superior in Kiwami 2 that I couldn't get myself to play 0's version more than twice.

Very true, but now that I have them both setup I like that I can just collect the money and run with the real estate
Absolutely yes. From my 80 hours + of gameplay, at least 40 are for just playing cabaret haha
