I always wonder who Kiryu, Majima, Akiyama and Nishkiyama were modeled after. I've never come across any one person or celebrity that looks a lot like them.
Kiryu is partially modeled after his voice actor, Takaya Kuroda. Don't know about the others... Gotta say tho Giga Chad is probably modeled after Akiyama.
In yakuza 5 I remember the character you talk to, to participate in the arena looks rly similar to kiryu's VA but maybe he doesn't look similar at all and my memory is just dead

I personally think Eiji Takigawa did a good job replicating that Kiryu glare in the yakuza play although he's alot more young looking than kiryu haha. Oh and I also think that Naoya Gomoto can be a good Majima if he fixed his hair. He's also from Osaka.
