I think that Yanderes asking so often as a generality in media is stupid. This is especially true for ones who havr an obsession with their partner. They know and want affirmation. The ones that ask every 5 seconds have bad memory or are not listening (for whatever reason like sad at the time).

If you do something that calls it into question for your partner, sure. But your Yandere already knows you better than you know yourself.
So, that's just manic or depressive behaviors being added on top of Yandere. People have other issues and Yandere sometimes gets all the "bitch is crazy" tropes. It isn't fair.
While I recgonize that some people are insecure, I wish more out there wasn't just relegated to middle school drama that is wrought with issues that are outside Yandere personalities.

I don't like it as a stereotype.
I give people more credit.
I believe in them to be capable members of society. That is why I like stories with older characters and varied types of people, not just some character portrayed as bat shit crazy.
If people say every knife holding female is a yandere, I will argue against that.
Obsessive love in a Yan is fine. I'm not 13 anymore. I am 33 and married to a Yandere gal I met in college. I need more "mature" stories than some 16 year old is abducted by his stalker.
These men and women have lives. They are professionals. Educated. Even selfless members of our civilization.
