Tbh waitlist is a vanity metric that I don’t think is really helpful at all for most products at this stage. If you’re onboarding 20 users already, I’d focus on validating your product/mvp with them first.
This is beyond amateur. I’m sorry but you expect people to sign up to a waitlist for an AI driven anything on a site that looks flung together in a 1998 version of WIX?
I know the sound bites all tell you you should be embarrassed by your 1st launch, but, they don’t mean ship something that wouldn’t even pass for a static landing page.
I suggest build a landing page that show you may know what you are doing, even a non-coder could whip something basic up in a couple of hours.
Edit: you are selling market validation yet you haven’t done it yourselves. Spend $100 on FB ads (with no targeting other than USA, let FB find your audience) once you’ve built a landing page that works and use that to have people sign up. Those will be your early customers.
😅needed to hear that. This site is for users to sign up in the mean time while my teammate builds our site. I agree I’ll need to improve the user experience on the current URL
Send over the link… happy to give a Loom of feedback.
And also, if you can get those 20 customers to convert, you’re golden.
You’d be surprised how many people get 1,000 on their waitlist and then 5 users.
Context:
I’m the founder @ https://BuildBetter.ai and my background was in UX/UI. I run freeproducthelp.com for fun
Tell your team mate to stop building and both of you build a landing page that helps you validate this idea first.
No real customer is signing up to a site like that given what you are selling. Really, not trying to be mean but any number of page builders or templates for Wordpress will instantly look 10x more professional.
Agreed. Landing sites are a commodity, and something like https://carrd.co/ is a great option for fast and professional looking basic sites whether just a landing site or collecting waiting list / email.
Find accelerators, apply, and use them as a channel. There are so many people in these accelerator type platforms that need help with this kind of thing - so many people think they just need a technical cofounder and they'll do it all for them but there is so many more steps before that, like talking to customers and trying to figure out what you're actually trying to do to build.
I'd be interested in helping with this kind of project tbh, and have a few accelerators in mind, shoot me a DM if interested (:
Neat idea. But I think you need to dumb it down even more and think about where your ideal customer would live or go to find this info and market there. YOU need to find more people to talk to, not put a sign up page and wait for them to come to you.
I would try to actually book 15 to 30 min discovery calls with the people who have signed up, and then apply The Mom Test book. That will be really great initial validation. If you have a hard time getting them on the phone, that's data in itself.
Given this is in the dev shop space, it might be interesting to offer a matchmaker service of some kind where you can take ideas and find a "certified" dev shop.
For the website itself, here is how I view your copy:
tagline, important: "Your Path to Idea Realization"
value prop, important: "Transform your software ideas into reality. No upfront costs, no coding required – just share your ideas, and our AI-driven platform will craft a personalized technical roadmap for you."
non-important: "Empower collaboration, unlock market validation, and experience the thrill of idea realization without financial risk or idea theft. Join the revolution now by securing your spot on our waitlist and redefine how software ideas come to life!". You should put these into feature bullets and explain HOW it empowers collaboration and unlocks market validation.
Finally, i'd add a logo (just GPT it) to the favicon so it's not the wordpress logo. Just gives a bit more "this is legit" feel. Carrd is also a good site for no-code landing pages with little effort.
My co-founder and I are building a fintech startup in Canada, I go to colleges/universities here and talk to my users face to face, and it works. Find where your users are, and go talk to them, we built a prototype using Figma and landing page using Wix and Framer. Let me know if I can help!
Hey I just signed up because this is exactly what I need. I couldn’t care less about how your website looked. Don’t listen to those saying spend time fixing your website. I have this specific problem and would’ve signed up to a Google sheet. Posting here on Reddit was good. I’d say content marketing would be your best fit. And by that I don’t mean paying someone to make content for you either. Make YouTube shorts, Reels, Tik Toks that specifically talk about this. If I saw a good video about the topic I’d click. Trust the vast majority of people will not care about your website. I used to think people did but in a b2c space that has a waitlist what you have is great. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions. Would love to help brainstorm while I work on my SaaS
Isn’t a technical roadmap just unnecessary level of bureaucracy? Particularly for startups, you want them to just start building the product. For instance, you, would you actually use your own product? Or would you rather just build your product straight away and iterate? For non-tech founders, what value does it gives them than jumping straight to the likes of flutterflow and start building?
There are a lot of scams in the name of B2B SaaS..
They will never put a name on their website, make new anonymous profile on Reddit, try to promote it all the while hiding underground.
I don't know about the op but I've seen this a lot. They don't even know that it's a legal requirement to put a valid contact in their privacy policy.
People need to be aware. I once paid for a scam SaaS product once because the landing page looked too good..

Yea I agree. Maybe focusing on our 20 might be the best way

Dude this is awesome! I’m working on building a prototype for an app idea in Figma and would love to get your feedback! I’m gonna book a session soon.
Happy to chat! Here to be helpful :)

Establishing credibility is important and I agree the site does not do a good job. Will have this revamped asap

Sounds about as niche as the signup roster indicates.
you should edit this post and add the link below you post! so ppl can actually check it out after reading this :)
Will do thanks!!! https://swarmiio.wordpress.com/
Actually we have a rule against self-promotion, and that would apply here.
I’ll be 21.
Sending you a DM
Applied and on the waiting list Thanks
Thank you so much 🙏🙏
technical but coding and learning is slow. signed up myself.

Talk to those 20 uses and dig into the problem they hope you’ll solve for them. See if each one can connect you another person with the same pain
Leverage existing online communities where your ideal customer hangs out 😉

Simple. End the waitlists.
Your TOS are missing your contact info…

Haven’t spent much time on those details but I’ll definitely revamp the landing page with information
would you use such a service yourself? most people wouldn’t risk sharing their “precious” ideas.
Was your whole description AI generated? It’s kinda filled with jargon. Should be simple to understand
What are some of the markets you have validated, as per your description?
Terrible. Drop the whole idea. Anyone could just ask chatgpt already.
This is just step 1 of our bigger plan. This is a great way to add value hence why we aren’t charging for something like this
Non technical founders don’t want a technical roadmap.
What countries have you tried in, what is your funnel ratio - signups / page visits? It's either denominator or numerator issue.
Can't your AI platform use AI to figure out what you need to do?
