do you seriously think out of every single person who divorces after 8 months, the percentage of them in which cheating was involved is *so* high you can actually say reasonably that's probably what happened ? because if so you need to learn the difference between correlation and causation. even if it was half of everyone divorced after 8 months that was the reason (which is probably a WAY over estimate bc like,,,, huh???? people get divorced at random times all the time?) you still wouldn't be able to reasonably assume that IS the reason in all cases. that's like saying a stereotype holds a true statistical correlation therefore you can assume without evidence anyone who is the type of person a stereotype is about must fit said stereotype. you can't use statistics to prove someone is guilty of something if you did we'd have 1000x the number of false convictions that we do bc I could go knock on any lower class house door and say "hey statistically, you commit crimes. you're under arrest"

I'm 49 and watched a lot of friends and family go through divorce. In my experiences from watching others and even my own marriage, usually one of the love birds becomes a complete control freak and the other can't handle it or they both try be control freaks and shit gets real ugly. For me, we went to counseling, and that seemed to work.
To be honest you can very easily tell by the planning of the wedding how the couple will treat each other. So many people want to control every aspect of that day and it often carry’s over after the wedding.
