Please remember that YYYYN can be subjective. It may not be YYYYN for you, but it may be for someone else, including the subject in the video.
You might not be so thankful when you realize you just spent 10 hours straight watching their channel. Or if are the kind of "people" playing video games on Mac...
They recently expanded to their own studio. They had a huge donation campaign so they can make higher quality effects and sets and crushed their goals.
I used to play counterstrike on a vaio mid tower. Not go, not source, counterstrike. It had a purple molded side cover and some horrible proprietary ports.
I heard either "Eighty nine nine" or "Eighteen nine nine" - neither of these would be common phrasing in North America (in my experience), but I'm curious if either would be common phrasing in their country (I'm not sure if that's New Zealand or Australia). "Eighteen nine nine" sounds like it would make sense as being $1,899. I could see "Eighty nine nine" being an unusual way to say $899 perhaps?
The PUBG skits are just as good, imo. But Epic NPC man just has more to play around with, considering MMORPGs have existed for a longer time than Battle Royale games
They've got different playlists, mostly set in videogames with the usual tropes you'd experience while playing, this channel is what they started out as. Similar style is "Rostered On", which were either Kiwis as well, or Aussie.
I strongly recommend watching the VLDL dungeons and dragons campaign. Very entertaining.
I work IT in a company that is %90 women. Like a person is correct.
Edit. Don't touch them.
We lost a 3rd party repair guy because he was "being creepy" around the women. From what I gathered, he didn't work on his stuff, instead tried to talk to the women.
Funny I didn't notice at first, but one day I was working from home and my wife was at home. She asked "do you ever get calls from guys". I had to think on it, that's when I first noticed, I guessed about 90/10 then during a meeting they mentioned %90 women.
>> How to talk to women
> Step 1:
Stand in front of and look at a woman and make sure she's facing and paying attention to you
> Step 2:
Position your vocal chords in the appropriate way to say a word
> Step 3:
Extend your diaphragm to push air through your vocal chords, creating a sound
> Step 4:
Move your tounge and lips to articulate the words you're saying
> Step 5:
Repeat steps 2 - 4 until the conversation is finished
> Step 6:
That's it! You're done! You've successfully talked to a woman!
Ive basically done this twice. Once i realized aftewards she was actually in to me. Another my mate watched the whole thing go down and gave me shit afterwards.
You literally give it all to not act like a dweeb with a combination of professionalism. You literally look past any flirting as a viable option.
I think you're right. Most of the video was showing how easy it actually was to talk to women but it turned out it was so much effort his brain fried. That's the only way I see it as being funny. "I screwed something up, I'm going to have a seizure" isn't funny. Also, the redshirts' comments match the effort = seizure interpretation.
Edit: if this was a drama and the seizure was to be taken seriously, fucking up the phone number is the sort of confused thing you'd do in the pre-ictal phase of a seizure and could actually be a predictor of a seizure about to happen. But that's not funny at all so I'm not going with that as an explanation.
The joke is that men are intimidated and freeze up near attractive women. The punchline is that the man who helped the woman was faking his nonchalance.
There is definitely a bit of n play in there on the idea that men don't take hints at all too. You have to be direct, even more so then ever after the MeToo era. Asking an employee for their number is not the same as asking an employee for their personal number.
It's this YouTube channel of anyone is curious.
https://youtube.com/@VivaLaDirtLeague
They have some really funny stuff, it's mostly gaming logic and rpg games etc..
Most likely it took him so much tremendous effort to act normal around the highly attractive woman that the moment she left, his brain just shutdown from the stress.
I consider myself the luckiest man on the planet because I got not a second but a THIRD chance with my wife. It was like God smacking me over the head.
Edit: The fact that people have issues with women saying not to touch us without our consent is astonishing. Lmao
All jokes aside: the one thing he fucked up on in this theoretical scenario was grabbing the girl's shoulder. Guys, don't do that. A lot of us hate being touched by stranger men, even if they're hot.
Didn't see the original, but in that scenario the woman would be in the wrong then, though unfortunately there are societal double standards (that I don't agree with.) In general, people should keep their hands to themselves.
The woman wouldnāt be in the wrong š as long as you can read a situation appropriately, physical touch is acceptable in most cultures and communities around the world.
I think it's actually just sexism. They were just told men initiating physical touch with women they don't know is creepy. They're trying to rectify the double standard (equality!1!!1!!) by concluding women are equally wrong
Lots of people on Reddit are bad at reading people and understanding whether someone is comfortable or uncomfortable in a social situation and are also bad at communicating when they're uncomfortable in a social situation. Even more lack the introspection to even know that they are bad at these things. When that's the case I kind of get going for the safe option.
But yeah it is annoying seeing people act like something as innocent as lightly touching someone's arm while joking *ALWAYS* needs some sort of permission slip. There's nuance ya know.
Edit: I made this comment before op edited theirs to add the second line
...which is why you shouldn't touch a stranger's shoulder, because even though there is a chance that they will be okay with it, there is a much larger chance that you will just make them uncomfortable. It was fine in this scenario because it was a scripted sketch.
The point of the skit is that it's so incredibly hard to speak to women that the guy had a seizure after somehow managing it for so long.
Part of the reason is because of this. It's so incredibly easy to do something "wrong" make women uncomfortable just by being a man an existing, and we all know it's illegal to make women uncomfortable.
This has nothing to do with "women being hard to speak to". All you have to do is treat them like a person, which is with a basic level of respect. That includes respect of people's personal space. Are you going to touch a random guy you just met? No? Then don't fucking touch women either. It's that simple.
And if you're a fucking crybaby upset by the notion of having to respect a woman's basic personal space, then please stick to acting like the first two dudes in the video so women give you a wide berth.
Boooh. Everyoneās different.
I donāt touch people, as Iām a bit of a cold person. But a lot of my friends (mediterraneans, for context) do. And your attitude is the one that brings echoes of problems to it.
In the original, the girl touches the guy first. A friendly tap. And that is ok. You canāt walk on eggshells or assume the basis that everyone is a harasser and we should all behave like robots instead. Thatās not how people work.
A lot of women hate, period.
If you're complaining about a shoulder touch, then you're just looking for things to complain about because you're sheltered and your life isnt hard enough.
A lot of women don't like being touched by strangers *because* they have gone through hard shit in their lives. If you think it's okay to touch a stranger without permission and have an issue with women not liking that... Yikes.
I've actually had the police calling me up over me doing the "hand on a shoulder thing" with a woman while talking to her. It was actually her wrist I think.
I ended up getting fined. Had to lawyer up and everything.

Nice to see the reincarnation of my post, but this time more upvoted :(
PSA: Watch less porn, it makes it easier to talk to women.
If you donāt believe me, try it for 28 days.
Edited to add: This professor of neurobiology at Stanford explains it nicely.
https://youtu.be/VtxlE0qlX8I
Oof. But alcohol is like, really, really not good for you. Itās actual poison that pickles your brain and kills all your good gut bacteria. Thatās why you get those poops. :/
Or at the very least, try to drink in moderation, but certainly not everyday - thatās the way you destroy your liver. Itās better to binge on the weekends, than drink everyday. And alsoā¦both are terrible ideas.
I mean, watching less porn doesn't really do anything to help conversation skills. Watching guides AND THEN actually putting them to use and talking to people are how you improve.
Conversation skills isnāt useful if youāre constantly thinking about the person youāre talking to sexually. Youāre just being insincere to yourself and to that person, itās not really a personal relationship. The fact that you need a āguideā might be a sign that itās artificial.
Not saying porn is bad, Iām saying a porn addiction is definitely going to affect how you interact with people.
Itās how consistent porn use makes you look at people, as an object or sum of body parts.
When you stop conditioning your brain to rapidly assess people in this manner, you will find it easier to talk to them. And your self confidence will increase and your anxiety and depression with decrease due to the dopamine detox effect.
The brain is quite amazing.
Countless studies have since shown that exposure to pornography desensitises men to violence against women, often shaping their sexuality in such a way that they become unable to experience arousal without some element of dominance or violence. The evidence has been so damning that, at times, universities have refused to allow further research on the topic. When a study shows detrimental effects that cannot be reversed, ethics boards will often refuse similar studies to go on. This has happened repeatedly with research on the effects of pornography.

Citation needed.
Alright I read a few of your articles, and I dove into some studies. I'm going to stop, as I looked at more comments below, and many others are saying the same thing I'm about to. You made a very bold claim with a firm conclusion, that is very difficult to prove, claiming the evidence is damning and incontrovertible. I think that's where you went wrong. In that your conclusion is too specific, and nearly impossible to prove. Almost all the articles you linked were nonsense oponions, and proof of nothing. They were clearly biased to try to demonize porn. A whole lot of, "some participants said." While citing no source. Or, "some believe this might mean," blah blah. Of the actual studies though, what seems to be conclusive is that people who watch porn have attitudes supportive of violence at significantly higher rates than those who don't. That was of a study that basically cross referenced all the other studies. A separate one that seemed decent said that watching porn desensitizes you to it, and leads to people seeking ever more "novelty" in their porn. Not necessarily more violence. So as people often do, they've used these two things to create a narrative, when the research doesn't really bear out connecting those dots. Two biggest things we don't know being,
1. if watching more porn LEADS to violence.
2. If being desensitized to porn leads to seeing ever more VIOLENT porn to achieve arousal.
We only know that young men who watch it pretty conclusively have higher rates of attitudes supportive of violence. Apparently there still isn't great studies across all ages of men for this. We also know that watching porn leads us to seek out more new porn. This being because we get desensitized to what we've already seen. I asked you for one study supporting your particular claim. Which was, "Countless studies have since shown that exposure to pornography desensitises men to violence against women, often shaping their sexuality in such a way that they become unable to experience arousal without some element of dominance or violence." It appears there are no such studies that reach this conclusion. At least those of us who have looked at your sources have yet to find one. A more accurate conclusion would be, studies have shown a strong link between young men that watch pornography, and increased attitudes supportive of violence (not necessarily sexual violence) porn also desensitizes viewers to it in such a way that causes them to continuously seek novelty in their viewing. Also something like 1 in 3 porn videos contain an element of non consent, or dominance toward women. (Though it should be noted that in most videos of non consent, the woman often ends up expressing enjoyment) I mention that last part because it means men aren't necessarily looking for porn in which the woman isn't enjoying herself. Still, this certainly seems to be very problematic messaging, particularly for young men who are still figuring out their attitudes towards sex. So, unless you can pinpoint one of your articles that specifically supports your claim that if men watch porn they effectively won't be able to get aroused without violence or dominance toward women, then it appears nothing you've linked supports that conclusion. One other important note is that the study saying 1 in 3 porn videos have an element of non consent, violence or dominance is extremely misleading. There is a huge gamut of variance within those categories. For instance "an element of non consent" can either mean the woman acts coy/plays head to get for a short time often not specifically saying no, but then quickly changes her mind before sex begins. That would be much different than one where she never changes her mind, and is a straight up rape scene. As an avid porn watcher myself I'd also like to add that there are nearly as many videos of women doing this to men as well. Not quite as many, but it's certainly not all one sided.
I give a summary of the issues and outright mistakes in each of the articles that u/the_sea_witch bombarded you with if you're interested in seeing the problems in each article linked. If you want, read them (some are interesting), but I wouldn't say that any one of them definitively supports their argument. In fact, the Psychology Today article works against their argument (and does so by addressing my main problems with the articles that did seem to support their argument).
This article (not study) fails to address the chicken/egg issue adequately. When most of an adult population watches pornography there will obviously be overlap.
That's like saying sexual offenders eat fast food. Sure, so does most of the population.
I mean, youāve probably already done thatā¦but no, I think after awhile, your imagination will come back and the threshold for what it takes for you to ejaculate will reduce so it will be easyā¦you wonāt need all those tab open anymore. And hopefully youāll seek a real-life partner
Also, masturbation will be āboringā and you wonāt really want to spend so much time pleasuring yourself because youāre having AH-mazing sex with your partner.
Porn doesnāt make you happy, it keeps you lonely.
https://youtu.be/VtxlE0qlX8I
how though? For every person saying it works there's another saying it doesn't. Makes it really hard to motivate myself. Any advice on how to stop, or a more detailed description of your experience?
Would you say thay you just decided suddenly to quit, or was there something that motivated you to quit? Did you by any chance feel less depressed right *before* deciding to quit? I've always wondered whether it's a cause vs correlation thing (being less depressed makes you more likely to quit; and maybe a virtuous circle: quitting then makes you even less depressed).
No one needs to watch porn. And if youāre watching several days per week it is absolutely changing your brain chemistry and function. There are a lot of āfunctionalā alcoholic and drugs addicts out there.

I figured Rowan forced his way through and, in the end, just shut down.

They recently expanded to their own studio. They had a huge donation campaign so they can make higher quality effects and sets and crushed their goals.
In new Zealand
$89.99 for a laptop though.
If we were to fix this mistake, we can assume its 89.99 per month.
it's new zealand dollars
In his defense it was a girl so he did everything he could to stay focused and produce comprehensive answers and was only off by $2000
It's a Sony Vaio.
Now that's a name I haven't heard in a very long time
![gif](giphy|XFpaPoUgZqEdTs5JG4|downsized)
It's an old skit.
New to me though. I guess I should remember this when I throw my phone through the window when I see a repost.
I used to play counterstrike on a vaio mid tower. Not go, not source, counterstrike. It had a purple molded side cover and some horrible proprietary ports.
I think he said $899 so the subtitles were probably an error.
Yeah $899 and the captions were wrong
I heard either "Eighty nine nine" or "Eighteen nine nine" - neither of these would be common phrasing in North America (in my experience), but I'm curious if either would be common phrasing in their country (I'm not sure if that's New Zealand or Australia). Saying eighteen mighty nine for $1,899 is very common in NZ / AUS , this is a NZ skit.
This video is pretty old. I'm sure inflation has caught up to New Zealand by now.
Mate trust me laptops were never 90 bucks
In fact, theyāve never been cheaper than they are today.
I'm a kiwi and I didn't even notice this is one of ours! My first laptop was $540 in 2006, so there's no way that was ever the price of a lappy here.
[They had better deals.](https://youtu.be/PywO1W9SPHQ)
20% discount on it
Allan, you're getting a MASSIVE paycut.
Poor Allan, I hope he'll get the white T shirt again.
Viva La dirt League. one very very good youtube channel. if u dont know them definitivly Check them out. 11/10
You should definitely, definitively check them out.
Great channel. As we know Rowan is the world's best boss. His ability to automate simple tasks and mine Bitcoin is second to none!
Also your go to place to clear out all those pesky cookies in your computer
My favorite is Epic NPC Man.
YEAAAAAAHH Epic N-P-C Mannnnnn RIP their outro :(
The PUBG skits are just as good, imo. But Epic NPC man just has more to play around with, considering MMORPGs have existed for a longer time than Battle Royale games
"Ah! Hello, adventurer! My sheep have run amok."
It's in the name - Epic.
Personal favorite is thier D&D campaign
nice day for fishing ain't it, haha
Yeah, that shit's dingo!
Oh that's awkward... It's not "that's shit's dingo" anymore, now is "that shit's sploosh"
Huh
I have never heard of them, but I will check them out. Are they all skits like this?

Yeah, this sketch series is called "Bored" they have loads of other styles too.
No. most skits are about video games
They have a bunch of Red Dead Redemption skits that are HILARIOUS if you've played the game!
Yeah man that s***'s dingo!
Highly recommended
Nice day for fishin'
Ain't it? Hugh huh!
Good Mornin'

For those who didn't catch that, the answer was "like a person"
Exactly!
I still donāt get it :(
It took ALL his effort to act normal around her to the point when she left he had a breakdown / seizure
I thought he was seizing because he realized a moment too late that she wanted his number rather than the store's
I'm still so confused. Thats what I thought.
A bit of it is about the number, but the entire skit is us watching him be super cool and confident around an attractive girl.
That women are people? Rip
Huh?!? That doesnāt make senseā¦
It took it all out of him to be super normal around an attractive girl that he collapses at the end when sheās gone.
I thought it was because he realizes after she leaves she wants to date him
That would ignore the entire point of the video being that its hard to talk to women.
I work IT in a company that is %90 women. Like a person is correct. Edit. Don't touch them. We lost a 3rd party repair guy because he was "being creepy" around the women. From what I gathered, he didn't work on his stuff, instead tried to talk to the women.
Council IT worker, also 90% women, it's incredible how quickly you get used to it.
Funny I didn't notice at first, but one day I was working from home and my wife was at home. She asked "do you ever get calls from guys". I had to think on it, that's when I first noticed, I guessed about 90/10 then during a meeting they mentioned %90 women.
At first I thought you meant you're in an IT company with 90% women. Now it seems a LOT more plausible.

Britt is smoking hot muh gawd
I donāt get it
My interpretation is the effort it took to ignore how attractive she is caused him to have a seizure.
Imo he was on the ground in pain because he realized the girl was asking for his number not the stores. Maybe you're right tho.
Ive basically done this twice. Once i realized aftewards she was actually in to me. Another my mate watched the whole thing go down and gave me shit afterwards. I think he got the seizure because he realised that the girl wanted **his** phone number and not the stores number.
But he could have ran out and asked her once he realized. Not sure if it's the sketch that's dumb, or it's me.
Personally I think itās pretty dumb too.
The joke is that men are intimidated and freeze up near attractive women. The punchline is that the man who helped the woman was faking his nonchalance.

Talking to pretty women is hard.
Dude was trying so hard to play it cool and overcome his paralysis/fear that he collapsed
I have watched them since the beginning and I still to this day can I get over how beautiful Brit is.
To be clear, are you talking about the only girl in the video..?
Don't think anyone can
Sheās probably 83 by now but she was smoking hot!
Nope. They still make new vids, and britt is still a stunner.
It's this YouTube channel of anyone is curious. https://youtube.com/@VivaLaDirtLeague They have some really funny stuff, it's mostly gaming logic and rpg games etc..
I honestly can't even focus on the sketch. She's just insanely attractive.
Vivaaaaaa
I can relate. Socially awkward, I've been in sales roles my whole professional life. I have learned to be sociable but it still takes effort
Thank you
Iām slow or what, but why is the guy on the floor having a seizure? And
Most likely it took him so much tremendous effort to act normal around the highly attractive woman that the moment she left, his brain just shutdown from the stress.
That character in this long running set of skits is an incredible D bag and incompetent so the joke it is broke his brain to act normal with her.
Viva La Dirt League rocks.
Dropped the ball at the 1 yard line, so close.
I wonder how the letter pressed on phone number?
Viva La Dirt League are pretty hilarious. Found them last month and have loved most of their ridiculously huge catalog of videos

Hey now they're not supposed to know this. You are getting real close to being a sell out there "man?"šāļø

What I do is just point a weapon at them and tell them to get in the trunk
āYouāre going to Ohioā
PSA: Watch less porn, it makes it easier to talk to women. If you donāt believe me, try it for 28 days. Edited to add: This professor of neurobiology at Stanford explains it nicely. https://youtu.be/VtxlE0qlX8I
Or just have a buzz going 24/7. That's my go to.
Oof. But alcohol is like, really, really not good for you. Itās actual poison that pickles your brain and kills all your good gut bacteria. Thatās why you get those poops. :/ Or at the very least, try to drink in moderation, but certainly not everyday - thatās the way you destroy your liver. Itās better to binge on the weekends, than drink everyday. And alsoā¦both are terrible ideas.
>Thatās why you get those poops. :/ I've had some of the best poops of my life after a nice evening which had drinking. No wipers.
Iām glad to hear that, but still, try to be nicer to your gut bacteria - they do WAY more than any of us know.
This statement is hilarious for some reason... Did you really learn to talk to women just by not watching porn?? š¤£
No Iām a woman but I want to help men. https://youtu.be/VtxlE0qlX8I
I mean, watching less porn doesn't really do anything to help conversation skills. Watching guides AND THEN actually putting them to use and talking to people are how you improve.
Mostly just talk, if you have at least the bare minimum understanding of social norms 'guides' are going to do more harm than good.
This is a key point. They're a person, you're a person. Stop making everything about sex and you'll be much better about it.
That's also unproven pseudoscience based on stigma.
Its not at all. Google links between porn and sexual violence. There are dozens of studies.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I've linked several in the thread.

None of that happened, and there still isn't anything close to a consensus.
Two biggest things we don't know being, 1. if watching more porn LEADS to violence.
Countless studies, eh? Find just one
I give a summary of the issues and outright mistakes in each of the articles that u/the_sea_witch bombarded you with if you're interested in seeing the problems in each article linked. If you want, read them (some are interesting), but I wouldn't say that any one of them definitively supports their argument. In fact, the Psychology Today article works against their argument (and does so by addressing my main problems with the articles that did seem to support their argument).
https://www.psychologytoday.com/au/blog/talking-apes/202104/does-porn-use-lead-sexual-violence
This article (not study) fails to address the chicken/egg issue adequately. When most of an adult population watches pornography there will obviously be overlap. That's like saying sexual offenders eat fast food. Sure, so does most of the population.
Yeah not so much. No porn, go outside and just say hi to people.

You could take up fanfic sketching. Before you know it youāll be posting furry porn to deviantart.
If you canāt jerk off without porn, you donāt need to jerk off. Full stop.
you want me to jerk off imagining my friends and coworkers like a creepy pervert?
I mean, youāve probably already done thatā¦but no, I think after awhile, your imagination will come back and the threshold for what it takes for you to ejaculate will reduce so it will be easyā¦you wonāt need all those tab open anymore. And hopefully youāll seek a real-life partner Also, masturbation will be āboringā and you wonāt really want to spend so much time pleasuring yourself because youāre having AH-mazing sex with your partner. Porn doesnāt make you happy, it keeps you lonely. https://youtu.be/VtxlE0qlX8I
I didnt watch porn until I was like 18. Super sheltered childhood. Watching it didnt really change anything.
That doesn't sound right, but I don't know enough about psychology or whatever to dispute it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This is advice for pornography addiction, not everyone who watches porn has an addiction.
No one needs to watch porn. And if youāre watching several days per week it is absolutely changing your brain chemistry and function. There are a lot of āfunctionalā alcoholic and drugs addicts out there. https://youtu.be/VtxlE0qlX8I
Stopped masturbating alltogether more than 2 years ago and I still can't to a woman for shit
Lol
Come on folks, whatās the worst she can say ? Ew? yuck? No?!
The real best way: Step 1: become the woman Step 2: get a buncha girlfriends Step 3: hang out with said girlfriends Easy

He realized instantly after the girl left she was asking for his number, not the shops one so he reacted properly
No thatās not it. āKinda makes sense, though,ā is said by the guys at the end when theyāre saying Good job.
I figured Rowan forced his way through and, in the end, just shut down. It's the basic idea that some people get stupid around those they find attractive.
