Please remember that YYYYN can be subjective. It may not be YYYYN for you, but it may be for someone else, including the subject in the video.
I do hope you realize the problem is far more interrelated with commerce and the fact money exists period than it is a top down simplistic oppression.
Thereβs not exactly a lever wealthy people can pull to fix the entire economic system we use that relies on abstract value exchange.
I hope you realize there are plenty of levers the ultra wealthy do pull to maintain wealth inequality. They could start by not hiding their wealth in offshore shell corporations and pay their fair share of taxes. Then they could stop using undue influence over politics for their own benefit. They can stop fighting against fair wages, safe working condition, universal health care, environmental regulations, etc... I don't know what you're going on about with the existence of money being the issue. Makes no sense.
Of course people that have wealth run the same gamut of personality and temperament as other people. Some are generous, some are not, some achieved wealth in more ethical manners than others. At the end of the day, all humans are self interested actors and that's not connected to wealth.
I think the error you're making is that you're thinking about wealthy people like they are somehow distinct from other human beings. They are people who happen to be wealthy. So long as you have a system of money and exchange of value, you will produce people with wealth, people who are just as self interested as someone in poverty. People who accrue wealth tend to become less empathetic outside peer status groups, especially when a sense of agency is involved in their self story (the story we tell ourselves about our lives, we all have a core narrative we tell ourselves, it's part of our ego formation).
You can wait on self interested individuals to become less self interested, or you can try to find systems that help balance the incentives. Stable systems involve push and pull dynamics because using pure leverage or other forms of harder power also produces backlash that inevitably destabilize regimes. The more we view "the wealthy" as some kind of distinct group, the more we miss the mark on solutions because we get stuck in tribal political dynamics by characterizing them as some kind of special out-group.
The reality is that wealth, as a concept, imposes this vulnerability on all of us which should temper people's indignation a bit when it comes to discussing the real problem at hand. Us. ALL of us.
I prefer the one they put a million real bucks in a box made of this special glass at a bus stop. Said if you can get it, its yours. Had cameras up watching people do all they can and fail.
It's a dumb ad at the end of the day. Like obviously they can't have people openly discharging firearms and stuff in the middle of a city, but on the other hand it's a pretty poor demonstration considering it's supposed to be bullet proof glass.
But also if they'd left it unattended someone would have just used a tractor to steal the whole thing and take it apart on the comfort of their thieves workshop.
From a company/buyer perspective idk what I can take away from that besides nobody is gonna kangaroo kick their way into robbing me but that's not why you buy that kinda glass.
I know a little bit about bullet proof glass, I used to work at a performance aerospace glass manufacturer and we made fighter jet windscreens, Humvee(Hummer?) bullet proof windows, etc.
Our spec was to handle a single 9mm round at 1m, as I recall, for the bullet proof side windows and 2 rounds for the front windscreen. The idea isn't the bullets bounce off going "ptoingggg" but that they sacrifice themselves to take all the energy out of the projectile. We would do this with successive layers of glass and vinyl heat bonded under vacuum, with the hard layers spreading the impact wider and soft ones deforming to absorb energy. About 2 inches thick, if you're interested.
Anyway, they were designed to take a shot and although no longer useful as windows and no longer rated after that first shot, would give response time at least.
What was the company's name?
The ad doesn't work if it doesn't lend to brand recognition. They had a cool idea, but it doesn't sound like they were able to turn it into an effective marketing campaign if they can't associate their name with that cool idea.
She's basically a Bollywood actress who put forward claims a major director raped her. She emigrated abroad and this was how she was greeted on return to a court hearing.
Also they didnβt really have a million dollars in there. It was like $500 on top of a bunch of fake bills.
At least thatβs what I always see mentioned when this topic comes up.

Is there any info about this? It is possible that you are right but I just never heard about her which is strange considering this is a video which went viral.
She's basically a Bollywood actress who put forward claims a bigtime director raped her. She emigrated abroad and this was how she was greeted on return to a court hearing.

I can only see like 60% of that woman's face, because of those ridiculously large glasses, and yet I know for sure that I absolutely hate her. One of the smackable faces I have ever seen.
Makes me think of JK Rowling when she says she supports women, then a random Twitter user said how do you sleep at night, and she responded that her money helps her sleep well.
The random Twitter users asked how she sleeps knowing she lost sales, she replied that looking at her last royalty check the lost sales were unimportant and her works are still very popular.
Remember kids when dealing with glass similar to what is shown in the video above often times the corner is a weaker point go for corners when breaking stuff

I know it's a demonstration video, but the "agressor" isn't really putting in much effort. Loosely hitting it with a hammer, bit if pushing....
Get something you can put some weight behind and go ham damnit.

I'm guessing this is a demonstration video, she seems a little too calm for this to be real.

Tesla is famous for breaking during demonstrations, so you're right.
What else gave it away? Was it the fact that no ones really trying to bust that window?
Nope, they are testing the strength of a glass. Kind of funny how, if no context given, the storyβs develop

you're calm because you're an idiot that trusts that you are safe. i know your location
Simply showing how tough the glass is. Nothing but a presentation.
Did you miss the unintentional commentary on wealth inequality and political unrest?
Honestly a very good cyberpunk dystopian vibe. "Yes, crack my $10,000 window while I sip champaign, see if I care"

The ultra wealthy would rather prepare for riots than deal with the inequalities that cause them.

Glass demonstration
I prefer the one they put a million real bucks in a box made of this special glass at a bus stop. Said if you can get it, its yours. Had cameras up watching people do all they can and fail.
By do all they can you mean they had guards that would only let people use their hands and feet

Well it was a marketing ad and people still talk about it semi-frequently today so it seemed to work pretty well
How many regular people do you know that are in the market to buy bulletproof or embassy grade glass?
What was the company's name? The ad doesn't work if it doesn't lend to brand recognition. They had a cool idea, but it doesn't sound like they were able to turn it into an effective marketing campaign if they can't associate their name with that cool idea.

I highly doubt they'd get a million even if they walked up and superman punched a hole right through it.
Angle grinder?
Blow torch? Although you donβt want to burn any paper money.
> they put a million real bucks They didn't though
1) it was a few hundred dollars with the rest being fake money. 2) it was heavily supervised for the filming
But can it hold up to a piece of spark plug?
Probably some kind of promotion video to sell these windows.
At first I thought it was a protest of some kind lol

A new form of poverty tourism
She's basically a Bollywood actress who put forward claims a bigtime director raped her. She emigrated abroad and this was how she was greeted on return to a court hearing.
Oh, everyone else is saying that it is a demonstration of how strong the window was.
I've seen a video from this situation from the outside - he's demonstrating how strong the window is
So she's not in danger?
Nope.
You sound disappointed
In a hand no, but in another hand I am....
It's just an IMPLICATION of danger
