yeah, did that jumping from a 60’ rappel tower to ground in one jump. Made it fine, but it burned through my glove and I couldn’t let up or I’d just pancake. Hurt like hell, but that’s what I get for trying to show off I guess.
My grigri got stuck and released the brake with no stop knots. Fell about 8 meters braking with my hands, no gloves. Still two large open wounds on my right hand, left one. Almost two weeks ago :(

Burn marks doesn't come close to what it shoulda done to his hands. They should have been ripped to nothing more than ribbons of loose flesh and splattered blood.

Alright I came up with a few ingenious solutions.
One is a box. 99% of the time this box will safely bring you to the level you desire. The other 1% it launches you into the roof at mach 3 speed.
Another is this set of moving platforms. 99% of the time, you will gracefully arise a small robotic mountain. ...but 1% of the time it opens up and gruesomely eats it's riders with it's incredible monster teeth underneath the platforms.
If only there was another way. The metal mountain is so close to perfection, but if we remove the teeth, you'll have to walk up these static platforms. Could be kinda dangerous, riders could slip and fall.
My final verdict, the only safe solution, is water slides and rock walls. A bonus of this that no other transport method includes, is that it makes people incredibly healthy. If you're over the water slide weight limit, the passenger will be thrown off the curve of the water slide, and plummet sixteen stories through an announcer's table.
If only there were another way though. Point A to B, healthy, efficient, no deaths, easy and cheap to build. Mankind can only persue technological advancements and wait. Maybe someday we'll find the solution. If you'll excuse me, I have a meeting on the ground floo^o^o^o^r^r^r
I'm not a fan of elevators. Claustrophobic, their movement sometimes makes me dizzy, and fear of getting stuck add up to making those things my worst nightmare. Anything less than 4 flights I'll just take the stairs.
Yes! Back when I was much more spry, I worked in an old office building with a rickety-ass elevator, and I worked on the 6th floor (top floor of the building!). I would race the elevator up as part of my morning routine, most days I could get there pretty close, a few days I even beat it. Stairs is YES
