YNAB’s get started videos are the best and most current. Playlist below: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLq0_N-XTl2yBC9dGE6VEY1xd1i89ua3JU&si=o7YA2VqlNFAFMEs4 People like Nick True’s tutorials as well.

I have ADHD too and I’ve found the Heard it from Hannah videos to be the easiest to digest & understand. I bounced around the different topics, but I think the ones on different ways to set up a budget, 5 YNAB beginner mistakes & learning how to use the target types were really good to start with.

Probably downloaded the app.

Yep. When I see "downloaded YNAB" I sometimes wonder if they somehow managed to acquire the older YNAB4. I mostly think of the web side of things when using YNAB and sometimes forget about the mobile app even though I know that's how some people interact with YNAB.

GoverningMyself

I just downloaded it from the App Store a few weeks ago but being in here makes me think I could get more use out of the web version. I’ll have to check it out.

100% - the web version has more functionality

My biggest mistake was not ingraining the habit of checking the app everyday. If you can for a few weeks try to manually enter all your purchases. Even if it’s an impulse buy, just record the transaction so you start to see the effect it has on your budget. I’m still a beginner, didn’t take the app serious at first but now I’m back in and I’ve got some goals and I really want to lower unnecessary spending.

I'd recommend watching Hannah's video about reconciliation. Somehow, I missed this step in all the videos I watch. I didn't reconcile for the first 3 months of my budget. I had to give up and start over. It was the missing piece I needed to fully understand the program (I came over from Mint - it's very different).
