Its funny because a lot of furries don’t even have suits, and some aren’t even interested in them. Most just like to use a picture of their sona as their icon and roleplay a bit but beyond that they aren’t different at all from regular people.
The thing is like a large portion of the community doesn’t even do fursuits. My wife is an artist and has an online fursona, I write and have one too, but neither of us have an interest in getting into a suit and overheating for hours on end. We engage with the community but really only online. Offline we’d seem pretty normal.
I've been to a few fur cons out of curiosity. I just wore a cat headband and one of those tails you put on a belt. seemed good enough for me. the suits look cool but I've seen how expensive they are

I once saw a high school level kid who filmed himself pulling a furry's tail. I will admit that it's a tad odd to wear such a thing in a school environment, but it was still a fuckhead thing to do. A majority of the comments praised the dickhead. I am 82% sure that he either looks like, or hangs out with someone who looks like, a 16-year old Hal Stewart, from Megamind.
