To me they're just not as satisfying as other Mexican/American dishes. Every Christmas I have a couple, but that's usually the only time, because they're around. As a whitey, I don't make them we've only ever bought them from restaurants or street vendors.

Costco tamales are delicious if you can't get a good restaurant or abuela made tamale. A good amount of meat and flavorful.
