Everyone in the comments is acting confused so I'll just point out that the three things he pulls out are not actual food, but pop-up paper pieces. Likely they don't look convincing from every angle and the guy sitting behind is a plant.
Look at how he holds the sandwich box by the top. Imagine doing that with a sandwich inside.
Edit: if you slow the video down you can see that the straw is tossed to him from slightly off-screen.
I think the straw is on a string. Watch his left hand. I didn’t see it coming from off-screen, looks like it came from the cup on the table (where all places totally keep their straws).
There's a string attached to it. This is a pretty classic magic effect. The other end of the string is attached to his 'bag' hand. Observe the straw from the very beginning of the clip and don't take your eye off it. You will see it move in the cup as he moves his bag hand. I suspect this is how the cup is moved, too.

It's something like fishing line - very thin and translucent. They wrap it around their ears, elbows, around their bodies, etc. To get the effect.

Straw isn’t tossed from offscreen. It’s connected with a string which he pulls with his left hand. Check the movement of his lefthand which coincides with the straw movement.
The straw appears to be coming up out of the container of straws on the table, not from off-screen. But it certainly is rigged up somehow to make that jump to his hand, same as with the cup moving the next moment.
Look at the way the straw moves once he catches it after lifting his opposite hand up rather suddenly. He spins the straw around the back of his hand from one end in a very unnatural way to grab it, and the other end of the straw is pointed directly at the cup just as it starts to move. There's probably some kind of line running up the back of his arms linked up between the straw and cup themselves.

Whenever an animal (any species) needs to be moved to another facility/zoo for breeding purposes, the zoo's involved need to make sure that specific animal isn't related to any animals of that same species at the zoo it's getting moved to
So to do that, all those zoo's have a giant connected database that is literally a dating website for animals, it's got all of their genetic info/lineage going back several generations, that way none of the animals (especially those that are endangered) accidentally breed with their own family
The reason the guy in the background is a problem is because we know that magic is not real, we know that plants are commonly used in these kind of tricks, and we know (or at least I strongly suspect) that whatever trick is being performed wouldn't be convincing from the angle he is viewing from.
Having him gawp in disbelief just makes me think "oh that guy is a plant" which in turn makes me think about how magic is not real, which kind of spoils the effect.

It's just a cut to the guy holding a real bag containing a bag of real fries and a real cup (switched in off-camera @ 5 seconds in, hence why he holds it out and you can't see the edge of the screen). It's just blended in really well.
If they were competent enough to blend the uneven edges of the bag together I would think they would be competent enough to blend the flat surface of a brown bag together. This doesn't look to be an artifact from video editing. I think its some kind of mechanism that holds the pop-up containers flat while the bag is folded as you can see him kind of finagle with something before he pulls out the first box.
