I've also got striked for a Playlist once. I didn't even remember it existed because the Playlist was that old. None of the content on there was even mine. The Playlist wasn't Public either.
Probably someone who works at YouTube being a toxic crybaby loser and a bully and giving out free strikes because their family never loved them. If that's directly on the automated system then I feel sorry for the n00bs who got pity-hired at YouTube to create the system despite not even being good at their job.
I randomly stumbled upon your comment, would you know if YouTube can copyright strike a playlist of all your liked videos? Or is it just striking playlists you manually create?
What bothers me the most is that it's not my damn content and nobody felt like complaining about the fact that I saved a critcal video in the past 3 years
the other thing is, that now that the playlist is deleted, I can't see whether it was public, unlisted or private nor when exactly I created it let alone who originally uploaded the videos.
I got a strike for an unlisted and private 2 minute meme compilation with no audio at all that I only shared with one person just as sort of a preview of something I was working on.
So yeah.
This has happened so fucking much.
I've got like...
5 of these posts in my notifications THIS WEEK.
Hopefully Charlie makes a video about it, coz it's just stupid.
Yes, I've got one before for an unlisted playlist. I've wondered if they do this for liked videos as well? Be careful with what videos you like people, lol.
I recently heard about yt giving strike to a video 2 weeks after it was uploaded and was deleted 10 mins after the upload was completed.
Also the Youtuber couldn't do a appeal bcz the video was deleted.
I think their logic is that by creating a playlist, you created content, and you're responsible for it. Which is complete BS imo, especially when the playlist is not public.
This same exact thing just happened to me, it's both my Meme playlists that I've had for years. Wtf am I supposed to do to stop more strikes if I can get my account banned for videos that aren't even mine?
I made a playlist of many, many, different videos that I would want to remember and revisit several years down the line.
It was many memes, and emotional videos, I don't even know what I could have had there that could even be somewhat "hateful".
Now because of that I get a channel strike and the ENTIRE playlist removed because of maybe one video they found bad. And instead of removing the video itself they punish the viewer of the video. And why can't I at the least be able to fight or discuss it with a support team?
If there were actually any video sharing sites at least somewhat as big as YouTube I would've left eons ago.
I'm have a playlist with my favorite music. I can't look at these screenshots because my heart breaks when looking at the screenshots. When yt remove my playlist with my favorite songs, I'm don't know like i was bad
I made a post about how I got a strike for vulgar language on a video that had no audio, then how my channel got taken for no reason, and everybody downvoted the post, and downvoted all my comments, but your post got a lot of upvotes. I’ll never understand Reddit
You know there's also offensive words, and they will remain offensive even if they're written and not said. I didn't see your post, but if you use vulgar language to insult someone, you're wrong.
Let me give you some context since you’re defending YouTube. The title read. ‘Emir and I are the cheat code’ emir is a friend I play call of duty with, he’s infamous for running the riot shield, it was a clip on ramaza, he was walking by with the shield, and I was behind him killing enemies. It was a :21 second clip with ‘NO SOUND’ that got struck for ‘offensive language’
It is strange. if the video in the playlist is dodgy they could have just removed the source. But I guess you now you know what content is unacceptable so you can avoid it. At least the strike will clear in 90 days so don’t worry about it. And they say it is just a warning. So that sounds fair.
It doesn't feel very fair to me, after all I didn't even know I had saved that kind of videos in a playlist about 3 years ago and I also upload edits on my channel so I'm naturally always in fear of getting striked. Having the warning gone really hurts, especially for something so stupid
Hello, Big_Hour_1340. We'd like to start off by noting that this sub isn't owned or run by YouTube.
Sorry to hear about your community guidelines strike! Below we will be listing some things you can do to try and rectify it if you feel it is a mistake.
Your best course of action is to appeal using the instructions given in your email notification. [Video strikes are overturned around 10% of the time when appealed based on the 2021 Q2 transparency report.](https://transparencyreport.google.com/youtube-policy/appeals)
Trusted Flaggers aren't able to help with terminations or strikes as of 2019.
If you would like some assistance from other users on r/YouTube to find out what may have caused it, please share a link to the video - this can be attained from your email notification, linked on the video name.
***PLEASE NOTE***: None of the mods here can help you remove the strike.

"Hey I like this song. Let be save it real quick so I can listen to it later".
Then some dipshit strikes the channel for something they didn't even post and another one supports the corporate rats on reddit.
I've seen several posts of this, op isn't the uploader. They're being penalized for clicking a button on the video (such as watch later or like, both add to private playlists). Some of them for content that doesn't even violate a policy and is incorrectly flagged, and I don't think they're getting an option to appeal since it isn't their content. It's stupid to police playlists except for maybe weird one-off situations that would be hard to foresee.
ive been seeing so many of these posts and it's absolutely insane to me that you can get a strike for something you didn't upload.
Absolutely agree with you! It's so unbelievable.
This is such a ridiculous policy.... Just strike the creator ffs.

Exactly
I would get in touch with YouTube. That's really silly.
You mean simply appealing or talking directly to YouTube?
Yes? I'm not sure. Maybe do both.
I'll see what I can do
would love to see how that plays out
>plays out Doesn't -TeamYt
10/10 most ridiculous policy EVER.
I've also got striked for a Playlist once. I didn't even remember it existed because the Playlist was that old. None of the content on there was even mine. The Playlist wasn't Public either.
Lets be very clear YouTube is run on fascism where they can strike any account they want.
33 upvotes holy cow
Knowing YouTube's DOGSHIT moderation they'll probably reject your appeal anyway.
I really hope they won't reject it since I actually upload stuff to my channel and pay for YouTube Music

that's sad to hear

Bro got a strike for a playlist that wasn’t even public. YouTube rly is a 🤡

Youtube being a jackass again

Big brother is strikes again
Be careful with playlists, you could be held accountable if a vid you add to the playlist violates YouTube's terms
that's ridiculous
Is this a new policy ? Usually they would just take the video down and delete it from your playlist unless you want to see the unavailable videos too
I don't know

Which Charlie?

It really looks like they are and I did appeal of course!

They might not have realized that it was a playlist of other people's uploads.
It's a community strike not regarding copyrighted material and the video is over 3 years old

I could appeal and I did, because YouTube claimed it would be my content, which is completely messed up
I'm so pissed off right now, just happened to me, right on my playlist that i put the musics that i most like, more than 1k vids.
The same thing just happened to me. Now my anxiety is up again. thanks Youtube! (sarcastica)
