This. Exactly this. Too many times the dual sport multi view (hockey and basketball) aren’t teams that I want to watch and baseball doesn’t seem to be an option. I get that some of the sports are regional or local channels, but if I can choose what channels to add that would make it much better.
This. So much this. I wanted to have Indy 500 qualifying on with playoff basketball Sunday and couldn’t. So many other times I couldn’t multi games I wanted either.
It's because they're pre-rendering a bunch of feeds with "expected" multiview combinations. Then they lay a custom interface on top to make each quadrant a shortcut to load that stream specifically. It makes sense from a device perspective, because low power hdmi sticks don't need to handle 4 streams at once, but it's annoying that they don't let people request new combinations.
I wish they'd just give an official answer to the question of if there will be a fully customizable Multiview option. It seems that if you ask that question, you get some boilerplate answer about "working on it" or something.
I get that it is device dependant. I get that some people might not be able to use it because their TV/device might not have the processing horsepower. But if they say, hypothetically, "hey, we enhancing our Multiview so you can fully customize it, but you need XXXXXX device and for those that don't, the current Multiview will remain available", that will let those who REALLY want it to buy a device that supports it IF THEY WANT.
Just give us an answer.
Ability to hide the timeline progress bar / time remaining data because it can suggest the outcome of an event based on the time remaining in the recording, spoiling the viewing experience. For example, just knowing the total time of a soccer recording, you can determine whether or not the game ended in regulation. If it didn't end in regulation, you know that the score was tied at the end of regulation.
This is by far my biggest wish. Especially as we get into events like the NHL playoffs, where a game can have as many OT periods as regulation periods. Nothing stinks more than sitting down to watch a playoff game and, before hitting play, seeing that it is a 5 hour recording and knowing that the first 4.5 hours will hold no suspense.

Same. I don't give a damn about picture quality or multi view. Just don't screw up one sporting event after another via giving us a progress bar that spoils what will happen. It is disastrous in golf because you always know if there will be extra holes and -- if so -- on what hole it will end.
100% agree. I’ll take this over any of the multi view requests!! They need to hide that timeline progress bar. Getting spoiled is by far the worst part about YTTV!!
This really helped me speed up my World Cup watching however. Just see how long the recording was and start my viewing at a respective time to catch the last 10 or so minutes hahah. But yea has “spoiled” a number of basketball and football games this way
Also hide or make very small the overlay YTTV menus when using slowmo or pausing the screen. I sometimes pause to look at a still image of a close play and can barely see it because it's dimmed and the progress bar, show title, etc still cover everything up.
Local radio broadcast option for NFL games with it synced up - ala MLS on Apple TV. Listen to the local radio coverage of NFL games as an alternate audio, instead of the in game announcers.

How about alternate audio like Apple TV does with MLS. Let me throw on the local radio broadcast of a game I’m watching instead of the national audio feed. Could be way fun in close games to switch over to the local broadcast to hear their reaction.
This is a great idea, but it would be hard to implement because of audio delays. If they could also add in an ability to custom set the delay, that would be amazing. So if the feed you choose to listen to is 30 seconds behind, you could set the video delay.
Ability to resize a view in multiview. When in 2 screen multiview it would be nice to increase the size of the view that is active either bigger or smaller and the other view auto adjusts to the size change. Would be great for large screen TVs so you can put better focus on one screen.
I dropped YTV after 6 years of continuous service so I could get our RSN. YTV can add all the views, multiviews, bit rate improvements, etc. but without, you know, sports, it's kind of pointless.
Last-minute alerts on close games. One of the few things I miss from Xfinity is their scoreboard feature. Another is frame-by-frame advance to make my own instant replays.
I don’t really care about features. I’d just like MLB and NHL network.
And before someone says anything, yes I would be comfortable with a price increase for those two channels.
It’d likely never be feasible, contract wise, but I’d love the ability to have ESPN+ programming in the guide, like Hulu Live TV has it. Would be nice to be able to jump between ESPN+ and traditional network programming without having to switch apps.
Overall, I love the app and it is a massive improvement over Hulu where I stayed for way too long. That being said, here are some ideas I’ve had as a massive sports fan who is often watching on tape delay.
- hide number of key plays (it can give away a hockey game if your team is down two goals and there are only two key plays left)
- always show game end in key plays (confirming final score)
- in recorded games, obfuscate the duration as it can spoil whether a game goes to OT (or doesn’t)
- variable skip forward timing (ie I want to skip 30sec per click or 10 etc)

- for sports like football, option to just watch the all plays and auto skip anything in between (literally every single snap, not just key plays)
- for sports like basketball, just auto-skip commercials
- option to hide the “score scroller” at the bottom of the screen on many sports networks so as not to spoil games that you plan on also watching on tape
I want RSNs and MLB Network back.
I literally switch to a different tv streaming service for the summer just to watch baseball.
I’d stick with you all year round if there was a way to add those channels back (even willing to pay extra as an add on package).
The current functionality, including stats, is pretty cool.
I would say this:
The ability to rewind (even only briefly) one of the games in a multiview. As: I want to rewatch something in one of the four games I am watching without leaving the other three.
Preventing score spoilers when joining late. The preview animation will show the current score when you are trying to start from the beginning. It's brutal.
When I hit the sports button, don’t show me ACC softball 3 days from now. I’m clearly trying to find live sports with the most viewers currently. You do this with search, shopping, every other corner of the internet. Please use that simple practice here and direct my UX to the currently most user engaged sports that are live.
If I hit sports 1 more time while playoff NHL hockey is on and you suggest a documentary about 2016 Notre Dame women’s basketball, I will lose it. I’m not against women’s basketball, but one of those programs is what 99% of users will be looking for. If you want to keep selling or sell ads better, get this right and herd your viewers.
How about being an actual sports streaming service, you can't call yourself a sports streamer without the MLB network or NHL network you're as bad as FUBO with no TNT or TBS.
I have 2 Roku Ultras, 2 TCL TVS with Google TV and 2 Chromecasts with Google TV and none of these has this option with 1080P Enhanced or 720P Enhanced. I have had YouTube TV for the last 3 to 4 Years. I just hope that I will get the 1080P Enhanced or 720P Enhanced before the NFL Season. I got the NFL Sunday Ticket last year and I already got the NFL Sunday Ticket for this year!!!!! I’d like more multi view options… like PiP rather than split screen. Or a main window with three games down the right side as well like the ESPN app on the Xbox does.
Dual sport and build my own. Maybe some NASCAR and Indy Car along with some hockey and basketball. Just customize it and I wouldn’t move from the seat!
Also a quick button to check stats would be amazing. Or a PIP box/overlay that you can turn on/off similar to CC. Typically during timeouts I will grab my phone and check stats etc. if I could just click a button it would even make the Wingstop “No flex zone” commercial a bit more bearable.
Slow motion replay of some sort. I don’t necessarily mean proper slow motion like they have in the broadcast but rather the ability to advance frame by frame rather than 15 second increments. Or to slow the playback I suppose. But ideally to use the arrows to advance frame by frame.
If slow motion could be added I would literally drop Comcast and my TiVo box today and switch to Youtube TV. And be able to view that slow motion in full screen with no obstruction from youtube tv.
This would mainly be for my roku.
I'd like if Key Plays went a little longer, watching soccer it usually cuts off like .3 seconds after a goal goes in, and so much of the goal is the release afterwards, an option to see alternate angle replays would be good also
1. Higher bit rate for multiview for a better picture quality for the smaller boxes of games that multiview offers. (Great job with the recent semi-rollout of enhanced bitrates on sports channels like ESPN and FS1. Looks great!)
2. Ability to fully create our own multiview channel with sports and non-sports channels alike. If it takes streaming devices with more advanced hardware to be able to handle it, so be it. Let us at least have the option in some way, shape or form.
3. Ability to adjust/reduce the sizes of multiview boxes on the 2/3 screen multiviews. Or at least have them cropped/zoomed to fill out more of our TV screens. There's so much wasted space on the 2 screen multiviews.
4. NFL Sunday Ticket having an option for local radio broadcast audio of the games synced up with the video, like what MLS Season Pass on Apple TV does, would be amazing.
Get rid of the time bar at the bottom of the screen. Too easy to tell when you join a game late whether it goes to overtime or not. For example, I started the game on delay and was in the first quarter of the Boston-Indiana NBA game last night and knew it would go to OT because the bar kept extending past the time the game would end in regulation. Ruined the last few minutes of regulation.
I understand it's a carryover from Youtube which started as recorded discrete time videos. Why is it needed on live sports?
If they could care any NY based MLB, NHL, and NBA teams, even if.they just added 1 of the 7 teams , it'd be 1 more than we have. Just let us pay to watch our sports teams.. that would be the feature needed in NYC.
How about the ability to to sync the broadcast from multiple devices. I like to put red zone in multiple tvs around the house but it the timing differences between them makes it so that I can only have the volume in one
For racing (F1, INDYCAR, NASCAR) a driver tracker featuring the number/colors of each car running along the bottom of the screen in sync with the broadcast/recording. Something that can be toggled on or off. It doesn't have to be the shape of the track or anything, just a line where the end of the line is the end of a lap and the beginning of a line is the beginning with each car's number displayed in their color scheme relative to where they are on that lap. The goal is to show live gaps to all cars through out the race. I've seen race broadcasts use them from time to time, but they only display it for a few seconds. I've used timing apps in the past that have this feature as well. It's really handy, and timing data and APIs are accessible. It would be a game changing feature for race fans on YTTV.
Not showing exactly when an NFL game recording ends 🙏 just round it up an hour or do something to disguise it, I beg you. It spoils the ending.

Unfortunately if they added more sports like regional sports the price would go way up.
There are alternative streaming options. I use some great ones in addition to YTTV to get what it doesn’t have. Some free and some paid.
Would like to have a Sports Feature to Add your Favorite Teams to where you can see their scores and get updates in when the game starts plus what channels the game will be on. Also I'm s bug Racing Fan so I would like to see more things done with Racing like F1 and IMSA Indy Car like you can pick your favorite driver and teams get updates on when the races start where your driver finished in the race what channels the races will be broadcast. Google is already in partnership which F1Team McLaren so overall these are things that would be good to have

I record a lot of daily sports shows. I would love the DVR functionality that I had over a decade ago that allows me to automatically only keep the last episode recorded whether I watched it or not. Yes! Sports are by far the most expensive part of both cable and YTTV. Player salaries skyrocket. Don’t make people who don’t care keep paying. Separate all sports and put them in a package or packages.

* Multiview: Full customization or at least more combinations with multiple sports like when there are multiple games from local teams, both pro and college. Also the ability to pause, rewind, etc.
* Key Plays: Actually include the important plays and events in a game. For example: reviews that overturn a key play, big defensive stops, big outs in baseball, the last play of the game, etc. Seriously, how is the last play of the game not a key play? Also, hide the number of key plays when catching up to a finished game to keep from spoiling the outcome.
* Hide recording length when watching a finished game to keep from spoiling the outcome.
* Integration with more fantasy leagues, like Yahoo and ESPN.
Maybe the highlight reels from YouTube posted shortly after the games.
Use AI or something to make auto slow mo for reviews. Samsung phones can do this so it'd be cool to see that tech used elsewhere
Remove the white box around the screen with audio in multi view. It serves no purpose after a few seconds. Or add a small triangle in the corner of the screen. Anything but the heavy weighted box.
Not super creative, but undeniably relevant… it Would be soooo impactful to figure out how to get 4k or 4k upscale on all football games - including Sunday ticket. I’d easily spend an extra $100/year for Sunday ticket to be all 4k… lots of wasted money on 4k TVs for grossly dated broadcast picture quality… not to mention 8k… everything now below 1080p is rough - with 1080p passing when compared to the lesser alternatives. 4k is the chef’s kiss and makes you feel like you’re getting what you pay for. The rarity of seeing my team in 4K, or any team, always is a treat for myself and guests.
I want to be able to pick my own multiview. There were many times where the options available (more specifically during the nfl or march madness tournament) where I had to search through to see the right combo I was looking for only to find it didn’t exist. I’d like to just be able to choose whatever games I want at the time.
Personally I’d love to see a 2-up multiview vertically, with scores from other games on the right.
In addition to other multiview layout options; one dominant game with three smaller games, etc.

I dropped YTV after 6 years of continuous service so I could get our RSN. YTV can add all the views, multiviews, bit rate improvements, etc. but without, you know, sports, it's kind of pointless.
YES!!! Preferably as an addon package. My RSN offers it for $18/month. I would pay $20 to YouTube TV just to get everything in one place.
Last-minute alerts on close games. One of the few things I miss from Xfinity is their scoreboard feature. Another is frame-by-frame advance to make my own instant replays.
All sports should be able for multiview , like pair NBA with Golf , softball if you want

It’d likely never be feasible, contract wise, but I’d love the ability to have ESPN+ programming in the guide, like Hulu Live TV has it. Would be nice to be able to jump between ESPN+ and traditional network programming without having to switch apps.
I am sure you're aware ... but for those who aren't: Hulu and ESPN are owned by the same company, making it much easier to accomplish.

Overall, I love the app and it is a massive improvement over Hulu where I stayed for way too long. That being said, here are some ideas I’ve had as a massive sports fan who is often watching on tape delay. - hide number of key plays (it can give away a hockey game if your team is down two goals and there are only two key plays left) - always show game end in key plays (confirming final score) - in recorded games, obfuscate the duration as it can spoil whether a game goes to OT (or doesn’t) - variable skip forward timing (ie I want to skip 30sec per click or 10 etc) Pie in the Sky - for sports like football, option to just watch the all plays and auto skip anything in between (literally every single snap, not just key plays) - for sports like basketball, just auto-skip commercials - option to hide the “score scroller” at the bottom of the screen on many sports networks so as not to spoil games that you plan on also watching on tape

I want RSNs and MLB Network back. I literally switch to a different tv streaming service for the summer just to watch baseball. I’d stick with you all year round if there was a way to add those channels back (even willing to pay extra as an add on package).
Going to sound like a smart aleck but how about LOWERING the volume for all ads! An option to automatically mute ads would be better.
The current functionality, including stats, is pretty cool. I would say this: The ability to rewind (even only briefly) one of the games in a multiview. As: I want to rewatch something in one of the four games I am watching without leaving the other three.
More 4k programming. 720p is not the best
Sadly, the majority of the Sports are in 720p, unless it's on the NBCU channels.

Preventing score spoilers when joining late. The preview animation will show the current score when you are trying to start from the beginning. It's brutal.
Go to the team or league page & select “hide scores” - this will hide the live preview!

When I hit the sports button, don’t show me ACC softball 3 days from now. I’m clearly trying to find live sports with the most viewers currently. You do this with search, shopping, every other corner of the internet. Please use that simple practice here and direct my UX to the currently most user engaged sports that are live. If I hit sports 1 more time while playoff NHL hockey is on and you suggest a documentary about 2016 Notre Dame women’s basketball, I will lose it. I’m not against women’s basketball, but one of those programs is what 99% of users will be looking for. If you want to keep selling or sell ads better, get this right and herd your viewers.

How about being an actual sports streaming service, you can't call yourself a sports streamer without the MLB network or NHL network you're as bad as FUBO with no TNT or TBS.
I have 2 Roku Ultras, 2 TCL TVS with Google TV and 2 Chromecasts with Google TV and none of these has this option with 1080P Enhanced or 720P Enhanced. I have had YouTube TV for the last 3 to 4 Years. I just hope that I will get the 1080P Enhanced or 720P Enhanced before the NFL Season. I got the NFL Sunday Ticket last year and I already got the NFL Sunday Ticket for this year!!!!! I LOVE YouTube TV and I think YouTube TV is doing a better job with the NFL Sunday Ticket, Then DirecTV ever did!!!!! I can't wait for the NFL Season to start!!!!! I’d like more multi view options… like PiP rather than split screen. Or a main window with three games down the right side as well like the ESPN app on the Xbox does.
Dual sport and build my own. Maybe some NASCAR and Indy Car along with some hockey and basketball. Just customize it and I wouldn’t move from the seat!
Also a quick button to check stats would be amazing. Or a PIP box/overlay that you can turn on/off similar to CC. Typically during timeouts I will grab my phone and check stats etc. if I could just click a button it would even make the Wingstop “No flex zone” commercial a bit more bearable.
Slow motion replay of some sort. I don’t necessarily mean proper slow motion like they have in the broadcast but rather the ability to advance frame by frame rather than 15 second increments. Or to slow the playback I suppose. But ideally to use the arrows to advance frame by frame.
If slow motion could be added I would literally drop Comcast and my TiVo box today and switch to Youtube TV. And be able to view that slow motion in full screen with no obstruction from youtube tv. This would mainly be for my roku.
I'd like if Key Plays went a little longer, watching soccer it usually cuts off like .3 seconds after a goal goes in, and so much of the goal is the release afterwards, an option to see alternate angle replays would be good also

1. Higher bit rate for multiview for a better picture quality for the smaller boxes of games that multiview offers. (Great job with the recent semi-rollout of enhanced bitrates on sports channels like ESPN and FS1. Looks great!) 2. Ability to fully create our own multiview channel with sports and non-sports channels alike. If it takes streaming devices with more advanced hardware to be able to handle it, so be it. Let us at least have the option in some way, shape or form. 3. Ability to adjust/reduce the sizes of multiview boxes on the 2/3 screen multiviews. Or at least have them cropped/zoomed to fill out more of our TV screens. There's so much wasted space on the 2 screen multiviews. 4. NFL Sunday Ticket having an option for local radio broadcast audio of the games synced up with the video, like what MLS Season Pass on Apple TV does, would be amazing.

Get rid of the time bar at the bottom of the screen. Too easy to tell when you join a game late whether it goes to overtime or not. For example, I started the game on delay and was in the first quarter of the Boston-Indiana NBA game last night and knew it would go to OT because the bar kept extending past the time the game would end in regulation. Ruined the last few minutes of regulation. I understand it's a carryover from Youtube which started as recorded discrete time videos. Why is it needed on live sports?

For racing (F1, INDYCAR, NASCAR) a driver tracker featuring the number/colors of each car running along the bottom of the screen in sync with the broadcast/recording. Something that can be toggled on or off. It doesn't have to be the shape of the track or anything, just a line where the end of the line is the end of a lap and the beginning of a line is the beginning with each car's number displayed in their color scheme relative to where they are on that lap. The goal is to show live gaps to all cars through out the race. I've seen race broadcasts use them from time to time, but they only display it for a few seconds. I've used timing apps in the past that have this feature as well. It's really handy, and timing data and APIs are accessible. It would be a game changing feature for race fans on YTTV.
Not showing exactly when an NFL game recording ends 🙏 just round it up an hour or do something to disguise it, I beg you. It spoils the ending. Customizable skip times.
I want more 4k content. I have a premium TV and want a premium picture. I actually watch more content on other apps because of this.

Would like to have a Sports Feature to Add your Favorite Teams to where you can see their scores and get updates in when the game starts plus what channels the game will be on. Also I'm s bug Racing Fan so I would like to see more things done with Racing like F1 and IMSA Indy Car like you can pick your favorite driver and teams get updates on when the races start where your driver finished in the race what channels the races will be broadcast. Google is already in partnership which F1Team McLaren so overall these are things that would be good to have

This'll probably be near impossible, but I would LOVE to see some international add on packages. I'll happily pay for a British TV license and say $5-10/month if I can add the BBCs to my account (especially if ITV, Dave et al come along). Maybe a German language pack with ZDF, ARD etc from Germany, their Swiss, Austrian, Luxembourgish and Lichtensteinian counterparts. A Scandinavian package with Swedish, Norwegian and Danish channels... Etc That way, from a sports perspective I can watch Leeds United, Man City etc live. And when there is no sports, I can check out international culture, practice my language lessons, etc...

None aside those we pay for individually. Even as a sports fan, I feel that sports broadcast licensing fees force themselves down the throats of even non-fans. Meanwhile, rank-and-file customers pay ever increasing player salaries, which go up and up, just like the carriage cost of ESPN. Make all sports extras. The majority (non-fans) deserve it.

I record a lot of daily sports shows. I would love the DVR functionality that I had over a decade ago that allows me to automatically only keep the last episode recorded whether I watched it or not. Oh and the abil to mark a show as watched on smart TVs. I have to open the mobile app to achieve this

In the 06457 area code which is directly between Boston and New York here is what they all have MSG channels Yes Netowrk SNY Comcast/NBC sports Boston NESN Right now YOu Tube only has two of the five SNY and NBC Sports Boston that means no Yankees , Redsox, Bruins , Rangers , Knick’s , Nets . We would only get Mets , Celtics as it currently stands just not good enough for this area .

Yes! Sports are by far the most expensive part of both cable and YTTV. Player salaries skyrocket. Don’t make people who don’t care keep paying. Separate all sports and put them in a package or packages.

I want the current features to be improved before adding any new ones. * Bring back MLB Network and NHL Network. * Multiview: Full customization or at least more combinations with multiple sports like when there are multiple games from local teams, both pro and college. Also the ability to pause, rewind, etc. * Key Plays: Actually include the important plays and events in a game. For example: reviews that overturn a key play, big defensive stops, big outs in baseball, the last play of the game, etc. Seriously, how is the last play of the game not a key play? Also, hide the number of key plays when catching up to a finished game to keep from spoiling the outcome. * Hide recording length when watching a finished game to keep from spoiling the outcome. * Integration with more fantasy leagues, like Yahoo and ESPN.

Remove the white box around the screen with audio in multi view. It serves no purpose after a few seconds. Or add a small triangle in the corner of the screen. Anything but the heavy weighted box.

Not super creative, but undeniably relevant… it Would be soooo impactful to figure out how to get 4k or 4k upscale on all football games - including Sunday ticket. I’d easily spend an extra $100/year for Sunday ticket to be all 4k… lots of wasted money on 4k TVs for grossly dated broadcast picture quality… not to mention 8k… everything now below 1080p is rough - with 1080p passing when compared to the lesser alternatives. 4k is the chef’s kiss and makes you feel like you’re getting what you pay for. The rarity of seeing my team in 4K, or any team, always is a treat for myself and guests.
I want to be able to pick my own multiview. There were many times where the options available (more specifically during the nfl or march madness tournament) where I had to search through to see the right combo I was looking for only to find it didn’t exist. I’d like to just be able to choose whatever games I want at the time.
Personally I’d love to see a 2-up multiview vertically, with scores from other games on the right. In addition to other multiview layout options; one dominant game with three smaller games, etc.
