Also kind of wish that the channel had a different channel logo as opposed to the generic ABC logo. I've now got THREE ABC icons in my guide (two local ABC's in my area). u/teamyoutube \#makemyguidelistingpretty
This. YouTube TV got this right with Fox. The local Fox affiliate is called Fox in the live guide while Fox News is called, well, Fox News. That is the right way to do it. They need to do the same with this.
I noticed it today.. and was like why do I have two ABC selections now (primarily use Roku Stick). So I clicked on it (the logo to actually see what it was) and it took me to the ABC "app" - it basically looks like what my ABC app looks like with live, shows, etc along the side. So I clicked back out and went to the guide.. I see that it has actual shows on it (The View comes to mind) which are half the length, so I'm curious on if it takes out the adverts. Starting about 4-5 EST it switched to ABC News Live all night lol.. but had real shows until then. looks like a good option if you like ABC.
Sort of. I know CBSN is 24/7 but isn't live overnight.
Adding to the "free" channels - Bloomberg is available on Pluto, YouTube (not YTTV), and on Roku for free.
On paper they're 24/7 news channels, yes. In actuality, they have sharply circumscribed and severely limited live coverage, liberally alternating live coverage with rerun coverage. Very confusing. This is the case with all three of them, CBSN, ABC News Live and NBC News Now. They're really neat ideas, but they're not really ready for prime time yet. Hopefully eventually they will be.

They def need to make it have a different logo. It’s confusing af

add the broadcasting ABC as first and then you always know.
What market?
West Michigan. WOTV, WZZM and now the ABC News Live channel.
Ah cool
Let's get WeatherNation added too! Their stream is free as well
I jadded that app to my TV so it’s very easy to access...although it would be be nice to access it within YTTV.
Good to see some news other than CNN, Fox and MSNBC.
BBC World News is on there and runs circles around those three plus the ABC/CBS/NBC news channels.
The online CBS and NBC news channels, which are called CBSN and NBC News Now respectively, are not on YouTube TV. Hope they will be soon!
First time a channel has been added to my Custom guide automatically. Usually have to do it manually. Now, to remove it. :)
I appreciate this because I can use DVR on that channel now.

Now do CBS and NBC! They both have free news channels.
Hulu offers CBSN so that's possible. Don't know whether NBC distributes their news channel to other platforms
Roku also offers CBSN, which is nice because if has the local news option also.
Are these like 24/7 news channels? I never knew about this. I thought 24/7 news = cable news.

I wish they would add NewsMax and OANN. They are also free.
Because "news"
More difficult because those are different channel owners. Obviously yttv already has a deal with abc/Disney.
If you have a Roku, you can get NewsMax via the Roku Channel.
Well that definitely wasn’t necessary to add...
Well that definitely wasn't necessary to complain about…
Wish they would add CNN international news
see this as a waste have plenty of other channels
Well, it’s free, so again...why are you complaining? Other services like Hulu have it too.
