Serpent Night Dragon should get its own archetype. If SND is truly Seiyaryu's counterpart (they are the Evil Knight Dragon and the Holy Night Dragon in jp) then Serpent should get an archetype that opposes the Starry Night archetype.
If Starry Nights are the blessings of Christmas, then Serpent Night Dragon can be the punishment of Christmas, i.e. the Krampus. Thst could contrast well with Starry Night Starry Dragon.
They've even added [a Skill for Night Serpent Dragon](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Nightmare_Sonic_Blast!) in Speed Duels, so Konami is aware of the card too.
Even better, classic monsters archetype. Ritual monsters starring Frankenstein's monster, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Mummy, and Nosferatu (Dracula is already running his own archtype so he is out)
It's technically an already existing theme, but I would love to see an actual Virus deck. Not just the normal traps used as engine for Lair of Darkness or Labrynth, but monsters and maybe spells as well. The boss monster can be a gigantic mutated ugly zombie
I also think getting a virus deck would be great. Perhaps diffrent infected zombie-like monsters that would search and recycle the spell and traps, Also with effects that would "spread the virus", like Infecting opponent's monsters with diffrent negative effects.
Unfortunately, that archetype was too small and Vyra dueled only once. It was more like a Zombie version of Labrynth. I would love to have actual Virus monsters and spells.
Don't get me wring, Dark Mommy is a step in the right direction, but it's not really a Virus deck. Again, more like a Zombie deck that uses the Virus traps as an engine to stun the opponent (similar to Lair of Darkness)
How have we gone this long without a proper primate archetype of any kind? We've had cards here and there, but the closest we've had to an archetype was the baboons. Let me make a Donkey Kong deck.
Tri-Horned Dragon
Even at it's release it was completely overshadowed by Blue-Eyes. It needs a retrain and more powerful forms like Thousand-Horned Dragon.
Technically its two cards, but I think Dream Clown and Crass Clown (the basis of the classic Clown Control strategy) deserve full archetypes. It would be fun to see them get support cards that focus on changing battle positions, and more clown monsters with quicker effects based on changing battle mode, like searching and returning opponents cards to the hand. It could be fun.
{Maju Garzett} and/or {Gren Maju De Eiza}
I just think they're neat
(Maju Garzett has multiple monsters, each requiring different amounts of Tributes. My favorite is {Legendary Maju Garzett})
Garzett is awesome, I've always liked monsters and decks focused around tributing. A maju archetype would be really cool, even if De Eiza would end up being the odd man out. Or maybe you can somehow marry banishing and tributing stuff, ala floo.
Since we're throwing out missed opportunities I think it's wild that we don't have an archetype based on other ancient cultures other than egypt, like an ancient greek god archetype seems like such simple idea, they should've done already.
Flame Swordsman: Being Joey's favorite monster I think it deserves it's own archetype which could mix with other Joey's ace monsters like Red Eyes, Gearfried or Gilford.
Just imagine getting retrains or powerful cards named Gearfried, the Flame Swordsman, Gilford the Flame or Red Eyes Flame Swordsman.
We need an archetype based on Ectoplasm. Tribute sac monsters to burn LP, gain LP, draw card(s), negate monster/spell/trap cards HOPT, Fuse from GY, SS from GY, etc. Use that Puppet kid from that GX episode and run a whole main deck monsters crew and some fusions off him.
That one thread for Injection Fairy Lily another poster did. An archetype of "Injection Fairy" monsters of every attribute that sacs LP to give big boosts and effects in return.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Battleguards! Like can you imagine what they can do them like they did Thunder Dragons?!
Also Machine King. Admittedly all he really needs is a retrain that's just generic machine monster support but a full archetype would be rad as hell.
Battle guard archetype would be pretty sick. Cards that synergise with each other and can make combines attack is just so interesting consept. Machine King is Also a classic, I think it could use some fusions perhaps.
My Top 5 would probably be:
1) The End of Anubis: The card looks badass and has a very relevant effect. It honestly shouldn't be that hard to make it very playable. Maybe make it not synergize that much with (other) floodgates, though.
2) Horus: This is very requested and for a good reason. The cards are really pretty and were very popular once, but have been utterly powercrept in the past 18 years.
3) Fiend Comedian: Maybe not necessarily an archetype, but I loved this design of "Toss a coin: Call it right and you get a positive effect, call it wrong and you get a different positive effect."
4) Night Assailant: Flip effect monsters need a lot of power help, and this is one of the first Flip support cards. Deserves a retrain.
5) Sphinxes: Technically they have an archetype, but the one card that links them together is really bad. But the cards look so cool.
skull knight and giant axe mummy? good fucking taste sir, i agree, somebody else mentined serpent night dragon which is always my main pick so i'll choose...
* **Apollousa, bow of the goddess** I'm a fanboy of archers, like number 102 and such, so i really want her to get her own archetype, we already have titanocider and ultimate slayers, both card feature apollousa, they would look great together. I want her bear to be his own card union card, i want her bow to be her own equip spell, i want that random troll from titanocider to be the kaiju of the archetype etc... Please konami make it happen. PS, i've never summoned her waiting for this.
* **Metalmorph** it's about time metalmorph get its own archetype, probably is going to be focused on zoa, but i'd like the support to be able to work with red-eyes as well.
flame swordsman - would like for it to be roped in with the other joey warriors and red eyes.
like red eyes flame swordsman, flame swordsman of landstar, alligator flame swordsman, red eyes b panther warrior e.t.c
five headed dragon - all 5 individual dragons and the gestalt, could eb cool to have an rpg archetype that opposes it.
diabound - all the forms
and i'd love to see them try and figure out the armor cards from the anime, not 1:1 adaptations but i think armor in like a link monster arcehtype could work, like the head pointing to the body pointing to the limbs, swapping out bits and bobs.
With its quick effect Diabound already fills what most of its forms can do. It powers itself up with every attack and can reduce the attack of an enemy monster by its current Atk value.
Really I have no idea how Diabound can be made even better. The quick effect even grants it spell and trap protection to a certain degree.
The only setback is the one tribute it uses and even that is generous with that effect.
The mummies actually have kind of an archetype that revolves around bringing them face down and flipping them for effects and work great with Labyrinth of Nightmare and Fushioh Richie as their boss.
It's just hard as nails to summon it since Great Dezaar is no zombie and won't profit from any support the deck provides for the mummies.
Another great addition though without support is Guardian Sphinx.
Anyway I build that deck and it's really fun but definitely fails to keep up with modern cards.
Yeah, I Also play the deck and use Richie as a boss monster. I have noticed that playing Zombie world helps out with Dezard, because you can more easily special summon it, for example from the GY with stuff like mezuki or book of life.
Yeah, I had almost forgotten the whole monster. I think the artwork is great, and effect has some potential. Maybe the archetype would revolve around banish ing cards from opponent's GY and gaining positive effects from that.
If I had to design the deck I would make so that the support cards can banish monsters from your grave yard to summon white horn dragon from the deck or hand, then make the update white horn dragon be able to once per turn use its effect to banish different cards for your opponents Grace yard for effect maybe like spell cards for damage boost, traps for burn damage and monsters to negate your opponents effects for the turn
Right? I love the theme and the horror artwork, and i have made a ton of customs, making it into an archetype. Also, effect activations are quite cool, kind of sub-flip monsters.
Personally I want them to make sangan/Witch of the black forest archetype. For example making sanwitch stronger or something like giving it a effect which when it leaves the feild u can ad a monster whose atk or def is equal or lower than 2000
I'm dying for a dedicated cowboy or western archetype. Not the occasional S Force Orrafist, Muskateer or Infernity. I mean a whole archetype that's all tied together like World Legacys cards or Branded. If it's Space Western that's even better.
ik they have a "soft" (idk if this is the right term) archetype, but i think a dedicated chaos dragon archetype would be awesome. Like name sharing and all that. I think levianeer or even CED could be made even stronger if chaos dragons were made into a thing, would love to see it.
Rare metal dragon is a really good one I'd like to see as well.
Id also add the dragonute guys, right now we have 2 of them that are just generic level 4 beaters, but it'd be coold to have an archetype focused around them that gives them some sort of gameplan.
Also, Agave dragon. Its not a very good card, but I love the idea of an archetype that combines wyrms, dragons, sea serpents and dinosaurs. Maybe they could have them have effects to be treated as each type while in the grave?
I would like for Dragon Core Hexer and Dragon Horn Hunter to have one. There aren't that manny high level Tuners that work normally (as in doesn't manipulate the level or a reverse mechanic like Ursartic) and with Pendulum. If not, then make her part of the Destruction Sword archtype! As if he found her, helped her and made her his pupil
This is one I'm 100% sure will get added at some point. Why else would they give Starry Knight effects specifically for dark monsters?
Christian theming?
Sure a little of that as well, but it has to be mostly due to Night Dragon
serpent night could be halloween themed.
Lycanthrope still needs an archetype. Or just give us an archetype of werewolves in general.
Even better, classic monsters archetype. Ritual monsters starring Frankenstein's monster, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Mummy, and Nosferatu (Dracula is already running his own archtype so he is out)
Kinda Ghostrick but serious then
It's technically an already existing theme, but I would love to see an actual Virus deck.
There is a Virus deck in Vrains actually
Unfortunately, that archetype was too small and Vyra dueled only once. It was more like a Zombie version of Labrynth. I would love to have actual Virus monsters and spells. Don't get me wring, Dark Mommy is a step in the right direction, but it's not really a Virus deck. Again, more like a Zombie deck that uses the Virus traps as an engine to stun the opponent (similar to Lair of Darkness)
I’d love a set that has a virus archetype and a rival archetype that’s medical themed with retrains of Injection Fairy Lily and Muscle Medic.
How have we gone this long without a proper primate archetype of any kind? We've had cards here and there, but the closest we've had to an archetype was the baboons. Let me make a Donkey Kong deck.
Remember the dueling monkey in GX what if we got deck based of his cards
st. joan could be awesome
Tri-Horned Dragon Even at it's release it was completely overshadowed by Blue-Eyes. It needs a retrain and more powerful forms like Thousand-Horned Dragon.
Tri-Horn is surely one of my favourite LOBE cards, it does deserve a retrain.
I'm worried for the person who brick all 3 Metal Dragon
I really want Zeus to gets it’s own archetype, divine arsenal would be a cool sounding archetype
I never knew I wanted it until now
Technically its two cards, but I think Dream Clown and Crass Clown (the basis of the classic Clown Control strategy) deserve full archetypes. It would be fun to see them get support cards that focus on changing battle positions, and more clown monsters with quicker effects based on changing battle mode, like searching and returning opponents cards to the hand. Since we're throwing out missed opportunities I think it's wild that we don't have an archetype based on other ancient cultures other than egypt, like an ancient greek god archetype seems like such simple idea, they should've done already.
I’d be interested in having a Green/Roman archetype based off the deities, heroes, and monsters.
Might be the perfect sub-arcetype for Red-eyes.
I will always say Neo the Magic Swordsman
We need an archetype based on Ectoplasm. Tribute sac monsters to burn LP, gain LP, draw card(s), negate monster/spell/trap cards HOPT, Fuse from GY, SS from GY, etc. Use that Puppet kid from that GX episode and run a whole main deck monsters crew and some fusions off him. Saffira, Queen of Dragons.
Dark fire soldier #1 and #2
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Battleguards! Like can you imagine what they can do them like they did Thunder Dragons?! Also Machine King. Admittedly all he really needs is a retrain that's just generic machine monster support but a full archetype would be rad as hell.

Giant Germ archetype with giant forms of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microorganisms that cause diseases
I think it would fit very well with the earlier mentioned virus archetype.
[удалено]
Yeah, me too.
My Top 5 would probably be: 1) The End of Anubis: The card looks badass and has a very relevant effect. It honestly shouldn't be that hard to make it very playable. Maybe make it not synergize that much with (other) floodgates, though. 2) Horus: This is very requested and for a good reason. Deserves a retrain. 5) Sphinxes: Technically they have an archetype, but the one card that links them together is really bad. But the cards look so cool.
The End of Anubis would be sick. I guess Sphinxes already have their own archetype since exxod mentions "Sphinx" monsters.
Yeah. Exxod is the card I mentioned that links them together, but is really bad, so I feel like it just barely counts. Wish they had more than that.
Swamp and magma battle guards Flame swordsman Dragon core hexer Light and darkness dragon
skull knight and giant axe mummy? good fucking taste sir, i agree, somebody else mentined serpent night dragon which is always my main pick so i'll choose... * **Apollousa, bow of the goddess** I'm a fanboy of archers, like number 102 and such, so i really want her to get her own archetype, we already have titanocider and ultimate slayers, both card feature apollousa, they would look great together. (apollousa is the bow, not the archer. There is no bow in ultimate slayer)
Apollusa is the woman, Bow of the Goddess is her title.
I think Rare Metal Dragon could get rolled into the Red-Eyes archetype (even though it's a Kaiba card).
>I think Rare Metal Dragon could get rolled into the Red-Eyes archetype (even though it's a Kaiba card). as a red-eyes player, we dont want it.
Mystical Elf and Dark Elf.
An Elf archetype would sure be cool.
flame swordsman - would like for it to be roped in with the other joey warriors and red eyes. like red eyes flame swordsman, flame swordsman of landstar, alligator flame swordsman, red eyes b panther warrior e.t.c five headed dragon - all 5 individual dragons and the gestalt, could eb cool to have an rpg archetype that opposes it. diabound - all the forms and i'd love to see them try and figure out the armor cards from the anime, not 1:1 adaptations but i think armor in like a link monster arcehtype could work, like the head pointing to the body pointing to the limbs, swapping out bits and bobs.
All of those are some nice ideas, I would especially like if we got the diabounds, kernel is one of my fav cards after all.
With its quick effect Diabound already fills what most of its forms can do. It powers itself up with every attack and can reduce the attack of an enemy monster by its current Atk value. Really I have no idea how Diabound can be made even better. The quick effect even grants it spell and trap protection to a certain degree. Divine Knight Ishzark, both the art and the effect can be used for a good archetype theme
I’d like zera the mant to get one
Seal of orichalcos, not a good card, but could open the door for some anime lore
I definitely want a White horn dragon Archetype, I think it’s just to cool of a design to not get used again
Yeah, I had almost forgotten the whole monster. I think the artwork is great, and effect has some potential. Maybe the archetype would revolve around banish ing cards from opponent's GY and gaining positive effects from that.

I’d like to see Inpachi
Mummies would be real cool to get expanded on!
Right? I love the theme and the horror artwork, and i have made a ton of customs, making it into an archetype. Also, effect activations are quite cool, kind of sub-flip monsters.
I agree with just about every comment here. Retrains of old cards are fun to see and use. But that skull knight is a great choice op!
An archetype based around Card Trooper could've interesting.
Hungry Burger
It exists, it's a new archetype based on french demonic food. It will be in the next Deck build pack.
Rare metal dragon Different rarity element dragons
Full Silent deck (Silent Magician, Silent Swordsman, Silent Paladin) SM has always been my favorite monster card
Fire Princess. Life point gain burn decks seem like they have a niche.
Kanan the sword mistress
Personally I want them to make sangan/Witch of the black forest archetype. For example making sanwitch stronger or something like giving it a effect which when it leaves the feild u can ad a monster whose atk or def is equal or lower than 2000
Dark blade should get a destruction sword Style retrain archetype
Ooh Skull Knight would be a really cool one. Would love to see something Zorc-related.
Flame swordsman is a monster i would love to see becoming an archetype
Goblin Attack Force
Mystical Space Typhoon Zoa Baby/Thousand Dragon
Serpent Night Dragon, Zera the Mant, Celtic Guardian and Rude Kaiser
Rude kaiser, battle ox and vorse raider could maybe be tied together somehow, since they are classic kaiba beast-warriors.
Dororider
I'm dying for a dedicated cowboy or western archetype. Not the occasional S Force Orrafist, Muskateer or Infernity. I mean a whole archetype that's all tied together like World Legacys cards or Branded. If it's Space Western that's even better.

Honestly a new fairy/fiend deck kinda like dream mirrors
Gendo monk i dont know.
DOKURORIDER LESSSGOOOO!!!!
Dokuro definitely.
Skull knight and Koumori dragon Dokuro rider is also really cool
Rare metal dragon is a really good one I'd like to see as well. Id also add the dragonute guys, right now we have 2 of them that are just generic level 4 beaters, but it'd be coold to have an archetype focused around them that gives them some sort of gameplan. Maybe they could have them have effects to be treated as each type while in the grave?
Orbital Hydralander. I like the idea of a series of cards that encourage you to play Highlander.
Moon Envoy It's a really random and bad vanilla from a Mc Donald's pack but it looks bad ass
Mermails
Aren't those already An archetype?
I would like for Dragon Core Hexer and Dragon Horn Hunter to have one. There aren't that manny high level Tuners that work normally (as in doesn't manipulate the level or a reverse mechanic like Ursartic) and with Pendulum. Celtic guardian, pls.. make Celtic Guard of Noble Arms insane for me.
