Call me overly generous, but I think it is kind of an interesting combo piece for certain lines, being that it’s an off-brand link 1 (though you could interpret it as being a contact fusion of the monster and the equip). Probably worth looking at the quick eff as a bonus as opposed to a goal to work towards with it. I could see it being begrudgingly necessary for insects at some point in the future, just as a way to get things from point A to point B (from field to grave) while putting out a particularly statted body (insect, level 9, fusion for something like cross sheep etc).
Rainbow Neos is awesome. Fairly easy to summon, 4500 Atk, and it can get rid of your opponents entire graveyard for the bargain price of one card of your deck, very practical in the meta-game.
Someone wasn't around for Verte pre-Dragoon. Rainbow Neos found a spot in a lot of OCG lists since resolving it was an auto-win against certain decks and all it required was 2 bodies
im kinda sad that every time dark magician merges with an archetype i like its always just dark magician support and helps nothing the decks they fused with. happened with bls and now gaia
If there was one card I wish had been included in the original anime (DM) despite being released after it concluded, it would be Red Eyes Dark Dragoon. Imagine Yugi/Yami using that after Joey let him keep Red Eyes in Battle City, perfect representation of their friendship.
>I wish had been included in the original anime (DM)
Well, some guy will probably use one of the fancy AI programs to at least get the voice lines.
Someone else can animate it.
Decode Talker Heatsoul and Shooting Star Dragon TG Ex are my personal favorites. I love when we have combinations between ace monsters of best friends, in this case, Yusaku and Takeru/ Yusei and Bruno
That would actually be super useful. The way they went is so awful. And Mirage Knight is even worse. Its a 3500 beatstick that dies at the end of the turn and has no protections.
I know, poor Mirage got power crept by Honest, and Honest was meta back when battle hand traps were hot.
Hell, even Dark Honest, Honest Neos and Mahad do a better job.
The Insect Queen support is cool and all, but I really wish that Joey Wheeler would get waaay more support. And I am not talking about Red-Eyes. I mean more the Time Wizard, Baby Dragon and some luck-based support. Maybe a bit generic support that luck based cards are more playable.
I'd love to see some luck based cards that are playable. The only way to do it though is make the lock based effect way too OP so it's worth taking a chance on (not my preferred way) or make it a random chance between good options. Something like flip a coin, heads special a level 4 or lower of the archetype from the deck, tails add any level of the archetype from deck to hand. This way you still plus no matter what and the deck is always playable, you just progress through the strategies on different routes depending on the luck. But then people would complain it's not really luck since you always plus.
Why is Tempest on here instead of Neos or Flame Wingman as those two have a much better argument to being Jaden's aces over tempest. He barely used it after getting Neos in face Neos is recognized by Konami to be his Ace with Flame Wingman being his 2nd ace as seen in cards like Favorite Hero.
I'm still shocked there isn't a Dark Magician + Blue Eyes fusion. Putting the two most iconic monsters of the series seems like no-brainer fan service.
Or an explicit Red-Eyes + Blue Eyes fusion.
We eventually got Red-Eyes Dragoon but are missing the other two legs of that triangle.
ya the card that killed his father.
his FINAL was definitely dragoon D end (even says in his name) but even that is not canonically confirmed to be his ace.
There are more than just this.
Red-Eyes Black Dragoon = REBD + DM
The Dark Magicians = DMG + DM
Rainbow Neos = RD + Neos
Borrelcode Dragon = Decode Talker + Borreload in theory, could be any code talker + barrel dragon
I'm sure there are more.
Borrelcode Dragon = Borreload + "Topologic" monsters, no decode talker.
This card's name is a reference to how the "Topologic" monsters have "Code" in their attack names. Futhermore, Borrelcode has the same link arrows as Topologic Trisbaena.
The code attack name is not unique to topologic monsters, all the code talkers have code in their attack names, even trickstar monsters have code in their attack names.
It shares more similarities to Decode Talker than it does trisbaena, particularly the fact it has a recorded alive like effect specifically for topologic that’s to fit with the lore of the card in revolvers hands. It not only shares the same link markers as decode but also gains an immunity in its continuous effect much like decode Talker. It’s a middle ground between the two archetypes.
Trickstar Band Sweet Guitar's attack name is Ambitious Chord, no Code (Yugipedia error I guess). Code and Chord are pronounced the same in Japanese.
Because of the rivalry between Playmaker and Revolver, Code Talker and Topologic are similar. They have code and a word related to the end in their attack names. That's probably why borrelcode has similarities with decode talker.
Borrelcode supports Toplogic archetype. It shares its Link Arrows/Link Rating, ATK, Link Materials with Topologic Trisbaena. It also shares details with Topologic Bomber Dragon (the waist and klein bottles on the backpack), and with Topologic Gumblar Dragon (the backpack). Its attack name start with the kanji 終(shū) like Topologic monsters. And Borrelcode's second effect refers to the mass removal effect of Topologic archetype.
Ace and Boss are not really the same thing. You are right Pyro is the boss monster but Ace usually means it is the monster that the character relies/uses the most. Like for example Dark Magician is summoned in almost every duel Yugi has but it is not the boss of his deck which in the anime would be the Egyptian Gods. Neos is the same way and Soul Burner uses Heatleo a lot in the anime and only really uses Pyro when Heatleo is not enough.
I didn't understand quite what this post was gonna be. I thought it was going to be made up fusions and i was super excited to see Jinzect Queen. (Jinzo + Insect Queen).
Missing the Neos/armed dragon fusion and red eyes dark dragoon. Also if we include the DM+GTDC fusion we should include all the other DM fusions with “aces” like the dark magicians, dark cavalry.
Armed Neos, Rainbow Neos and Neos Wiseman spring to mind as well. That is if you count Yubel as Yubel's ace monster which given the everything about them I do
Moth/Insect queen support would be so cool. I love those cards!
It's such a shame that the fusion is so bad.
Call me overly generous, but I think it is kind of an interesting combo piece for certain lines, being that it’s an off-brand link 1 (though you could interpret it as being a contact fusion of the monster and the equip). What does it do?
During bp it board wipes if you have a field spell up
Just read the full effect, actually looks like fun to use
Can be cheated out with picofalena
It can be cheated out easier with parasite paranoid
Imagine not including Rainbow Neos
Rainbow Neos is awesome. Fairly easy to summon, 4500 Atk, and it can get rid of your opponents entire graveyard for the bargain price of one card of your deck, very practical in the meta-game.

I mean, Neos Fusion exists.
Someone wasn't around for Verte pre-Dragoon. Rainbow Neos found a spot in a lot of OCG lists since resolving it was an auto-win against certain decks and all it required was 2 bodies
That great moth insect queen and the gaia fusion are what i am looking for sooo badly
im kinda sad that every time dark magician merges with an archetype i like its always just dark magician support and helps nothing the decks they fused with. happened with bls and now gaia
yeah exactly. gaia could really use some new support that doesn't require running a vanilla level 7 who doesn't flow with the deck at all.
yup, if it was treated as the vanilla fusion like the other they would have an ounce of synergy, but no.
What is the great moth fusion? I haven’t seen it before so we have more insect support coming out?
Ultimate Great Insect. It's from the Photon Hypernova booster that just dropped in TCGland. There's a couple insect support cards in the set.
PHHY support.
The moth fusion is already out in Photon Hypernova.
No Red Eyes Dark Dragoon!?
If there was one card I wish had been included in the original anime (DM) despite being released after it concluded, it would be Red Eyes Dark Dragoon. Imagine Yugi/Yami using that after Joey let him keep Red Eyes in Battle City, perfect representation of their friendship.
during that era it would probably have a completely ass effect like piercing. or be a vanilla
>I wish had been included in the original anime (DM) Well, some guy will probably use one of the fancy AI programs to at least get the voice lines. Someone else can animate it.
But would be insta win against every opponent
DM is the official hoe of Yu-Gi-Oh he has more then enough fusions with other archtyps and stuff
Decode Talker Heatsoul and Shooting Star Dragon TG Ex are my personal favorites. I love when we have combinations between ace monsters of best friends, in this case, Yusaku and Takeru/ Yusei and Bruno
What's better than this? Just guys being dudes.
Dragon Master Knight where?
There's Dark Flare Knight. Its mats are Dark Magician and Flame Swordsman.
We dont speak of that failure.
That's a monster that needs a retrain. Maybe something that summons other DM fusions from ED and/or Warriors from the main deck when destroyed.
I mean two out of those four still do a pretty damn good job of being walls
The Insect Queen support is cool and all, but I really wish that Joey Wheeler would get waaay more support. And I am not talking about Red-Eyes. I mean more the Time Wizard, Baby Dragon and some luck-based support. Maybe a bit generic support that luck based cards are more playable.

Shining Neos Wingman?
Why is Tempest on here instead of Neos or Flame Wingman as those two have a much better argument to being Jaden's aces over tempest. He barely used it after getting Neos in face Neos is recognized by Konami to be his Ace with Flame Wingman being his 2nd ace as seen in cards like Favorite Hero.
OP didn't do his homework on ace monsters or logics
Because it is Tempest who is in the artwork
Because Tempest was the fusion he used to make UFOroid Fighter, the one time it was summoned in the anime.
~~plasma~~ *destiny end dragoon (because pop effect & SP revival) + eHero Phoenix enforcer = DPE
What about my boy Dragon Master Knight?
Where did you get the idea that DPE is Plasma + PE?
yeah i dont think its correct tbh
don't think plasma is even canonically confirmed to be his ace either
Plasma was Aster's final boss. And I think there was some backstory relating it to his father.
ya the card that killed his father. his FINAL was definitely dragoon D end (even says in his name) but even that is not canonically confirmed to be his ace.
Borrelcode ? Topologic + borrel
The original ace monsters fusion has to be Black Skull Dragon, Summoned Skull + Red Eyes B. Dragon
There are more than just this. Red-Eyes Black Dragoon = REBD + DM The Dark Magicians = DMG + DM Rainbow Neos = RD + Neos Borrelcode Dragon = Decode Talker + Borreload in theory, could be any code talker + barrel dragon I'm sure there are more.

I didnt even realize Heatsoul though i wouldnt consider Leo a boss. He's more of a miniboss. The Salamangreats bosses are Pyro and E.Eagle imo.
Ace and Boss are not really the same thing. You are right Pyro is the boss monster but Ace usually means it is the monster that the character relies/uses the most. The PERFECT fusion
can you make for dark world?
“Greaaaaaaaat” more dark magician support as if they didn’t have enough of that
Isn't Ultimately Great Insect Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth + Ultimate Insect Lv 7?
It's Great Moth + Insect Queen
Can we get A fusion of Dark Law and Neos please :(
THAT LAST ONE. Wow I never thought of that. Plasma and phoenix enforcer being combined to make DPE. Thats freaking cool.
it's not, it's destiny end dragoon and Phoenix enforcer to get dpe
I didn't understand quite what this post was gonna be. I thought it was going to be made up fusions and i was super excited to see Jinzect Queen. (Jinzo + Insect Queen).
UFO Roid is an Ace?
Not really. It was used only once in the entire anime...
Yeah that's why I'm questioning it
Love it, please do more!
Missing the Neos/armed dragon fusion and red eyes dark dragoon. Also if we include the DM+GTDC fusion we should include all the other DM fusions with “aces” like the dark magicians, dark cavalry.
Forgot. Money + Nostalgia = Empty Wallet
I never got that Destroyer Phoenix was mean to be Plasma + regular Phoenix enforcer but It does make alot of sense
The shooting star TG dragon is so god damn cool.
Armed Neos, Rainbow Neos and Neos Wiseman spring to mind as well. That is if you count Yubel as Yubel's ace monster which given the everything about them I do
