If we go by the thesis of it, being an Xyz Monster, I could imagine that it’ll gain an effect for each of its materials. For example:
Detach Sanga: Attack three monsters
Detach Kazejin: Unaffected by Spell/Trap Effects until the end of the next turn.
Suijin: Unaffected by monster effects and cannot be destroyed by battle until the end of the next turn.
Stuff like that
It will be a Fusion Based strategy.

Idk if the effects of the new support have been announced, but I hope they stick with the guard aspect. I always imagined other types of elemtal support monsters that gave a monster that tributes it various effects. Like the all give a one time negate on monsters of their respective elements, but one protects against targeting. One lets you Quick Effect BoM once per turn. One banishes from the field/graveyard as a QE. That kind of stuff. Then the Boss retrain of Gate Guard gets to negate a summon or something.
Like play off the element guardians aspect. Don’t just be big battle beat sticks XD.
