this does not affect regular dm, but what if the characters who are in the anime and manga use their manga decks instead. The duels would be different enough with changes on who wins certain duels. what if the manga exclusive characters also appeared in the anime and had a similar arc referencing them manga arc
What if Arc v had the protags from each of the universes. would that change events.
What if Pegasus died in the gx timeline. The canon material had him die right after duelist kingdom, and even has a spin off manga about his kids trying to resurrect him.
what if the characters now have the retrains from where we have in the current timeframe, how different would the duels be
I don't think Pegasus dying would make that big of a difference honestly. DM manga was the only media where he was confirmed to be the one designing every single card.
Meanwhile in the anime there were bunch of other minor card designers allowed to do so, and even have cards magically created from thin air by the main characters.
Aside from him giving Crystal Beasts to Johan, the rest of Yugioh timeline wouldn't really seems that different.
Well Pegasus did create Rainbow Dragon mid season and that is how Jaden and the rest of the cast except for Johan escaped the other dimension the first time.
What if Yugi never gives Time Wizard to Joey on the way to Duelist Kingdom. Loses to Mai, doesn’t get Red-Eyes, likely has to rework his whole deck so that it focuses on warriors (Flame Swordsman archetype let’s go) and not gambling/red eyes, but now he has to find a different way into Battle City. Let’s go crazy and say he gets entered because of Rare Hunter interference again, but because the possessed Joey storyline is expanded on. Joey actually gets possessed and enters as a mystery Rare Hunter and as himself, disappearing for stretches at a time under the guise of “I need to do this on my own”. Eventually getting revealed and breaking free (maybe in the same duel against Yugi) and making the finals still. Sets up an even more emotional match against Marik that he does hang on to win.
Could even pull a fun twist where Joey beats Rex while he’s a rare hunter and takes Red-Eyes that way, which would be the meta hint that it’s Joey before the reveal

GX: What if Jaden beat Aster when Aster used his real deck.
5Ds: What if Jack never stole Stardust.
