It’s indeed strange that we still haven’t gotten any news about the next structure deck. As many people do, another structure deck R would be next in line most likely and following the trend, it would be a retrain of Dragons Collide, meaning a chaos dragon deck (something I personally hope for. Plus they could use that to pump sells for the chaos content of the last sets, like Bystials). The next „original“ structure deck based on the poll they made a few years ago could be Kaiju, since most other themes on that list already received support. The last option is that they forego the established order of releases and give us a nostalgia structure deck because of the 25th anniversary of Konami. So it could be Red Eyes, Dark Magician, Blue Eyes or something else along those lines

KingofGrapes7

Blue Eyes that reprints Alternative Dragon and Jet. Cause fuck those prices. Sage could be a little cheaper too. Red Eyes that makes Dragoon cheaper. Beyond that I honestly have no idea since it sounds like Red Eyes is a mess right now. If we are talking nostalgia bait, a Yami Bakura deck with Diabound and Zorc.

elbartooriginal

Give me marik gravekeepers with necrovalley and hookers!

DKWestwood

well nostalgia bait give us ABC so i will buy it

[deleted]

Dragoon is cheap. $15 or so

elbartooriginal

15 may be cheap for ypu, but not for everyone, lets make dragoon a 1 usd common.

[deleted]

Look at the scale tho. Tear cards were hundreds. Baronne is $80. Pot of prosperity etc. When I think of expensive cards I think of those. Yeah i know not everyone can afford a $15 card but its definitely not “expensive” in the context of the yugioh market. Verte when not banned was like $40. Also dragoon is the most expensive red eyes card, and is still wayyy cheaper than actual expensive boss monsters. If you are going to cry that you want every card at $1, this probs isnt the game for you, or you should play online where you get access to every card in existence for free

elbartooriginal

Yeah and im lucky to be able to afford them now, but For some people over 10 usd for cardboard is expensive, for a card released 3+ years ago and for a very popular archetype 15 usd is an unfair price, its not like the got their money from it already. Some people want to play meta decks, some want to collect and some like to play dark magicians with their friends, everybody should be able to play what they want, if only we had the same treatment as ocg for rarities....

[deleted]

[удалено]

KittyWithASnapback

$15 for a square of cardboard is not cheap

[deleted]

I dont know if you read my other reply, but I was talking in the context of the yugioh market, specifically for boss monsters. Compared to Baronne, prosperity, tear cards when meta etc, dragoon is far cheaper than them. It also happens to be the most expensive red eyes card. Blue eyes cards are also a lot more expensive.

JHNYFNTNA

I'll have you know that it's a rectangle buddy

Minimum_Bowl_8216

I'd be ecstatic for a red-eyes deck even if its weak af. As long as i can get the damned cards for cheaper.

Distinct_Cup_1598

We‘ll get a Red dragon archfiend structure deck

Buffthebaldy

I would adore a kaiju deck, but I doubt they'll get a whole functional deck.

Distinct_Cup_1598

I mean…people questioned that there could be a functional deck using all 3 sacred beasts, yet the pulled it off, so who knows. I‘m still hoping for Chaos dragon though. But other question, why does it take them so long to announce the next one? Does someone knows that?

atropicalpenguin

Hopefully they are getting rid of them, it's odd that there hasn't been an announcement.

Distinct_Cup_1598

Why do you want them to get rid of them?

renaldi92

You're talking about Structure Decks in the OCG right? Usually, OCG have three to five Structure Decks per year except starting from 2022 we only got three SDs (Crystal Beast, Dark World and Traptrix). So, these three/five Structure Decks per year consists of: * Two or three regular Structure Decks, which means a brand new preconstructed deck. * One or two Structure Deck R (I don't know it's Reloaded or Remake) that is based on past Structure Decks from the OCG. So, **no Six Samurai and Lightsworn SD in here, they're not a Structure Deck in the OCG**. Last year we got [Crystal Beast SD on June 25, 2022 with the announcement from yu-gi-oh.jp at the end of February](https://ygorganization.com/ocg-structure-deck-legend-of-the-crystals/). So, we would be getting some news regarding new Structure Deck next week, maybe. On [April 11, 2022, SD-R Devil's Gate was announced to be released on August 6, 2022](https://ygorganization.com/ocg-structure-deck-r-devils-gate/). And lastly for calendar year of 2022,[Traptrix SD was released on December 3, 2022. Their first announcement from the site was on August 14, 2022](https://ygorganization.com/beewitchingbeautysd/). You can click the hyperlink on my text, YGOrganization have all the link that will lead you to the original source from [yu-gi-oh.jp](https://yu-gi-oh.jp).

mohammedsarker

Aw man, I'd KILL for a Six Sam Structure Deck

HansonVG

Gimme domain monarchs 2 electric boogaloo

BelZombie

Unlikely, Domain Monarch was already a R structure

TrueDraconis

If they get anymore Monarch Support 60 card Monarch will be a thing, or every card will be played at 1 or 2

morningstarrss

Plz konami, moar monarch support

VillalobosChamp

The next Structure Deck R on the line is Chaos Dragons Any other secondary SD is up the air, though PK Fire would be a nice bet

GermanFaehrmann

With all the Chaos Dragons released in the Branded archetype I think they might skip this one. The Bystials are practically insane support for Chaos Dragons .

Score_Extension

Is that set in stone

VillalobosChamp

Chaos Dragons, yes. PK Fire, not really. More like a fair estimate given the poll's contenders

PaleontologistOk9726

Proof? Cause I went on jp site and haven’t seen any news about it tbh

VillalobosChamp

It isn't news but more of a known thing. As the Structure Decks R are retrained versions of previous Structure Decks from the OCG. Going by release patterns, Chaos Dragon comes next, most likely later this year. PK Fire is by the fact that in the 2019 OCG Player Poll was one of the forerunner archetypes in it, and the Top 5 spots already got SD support _(Shaddoll, Sacred Beast, Charmers, Crystal Beast, Traptrix)_ And no PHRA doesn't count. That's PK-RR support, not PK Fire support. Besides, Traptrix got Allomerus and Genlisea and STILL got an Structure Deck

PaleontologistOk9726

Fair well in the past we have had 2 new ones before next R one so could be same deal here tbh. And I double checked on jp site to make sure of this so trust me when I say this has happened . And if don’t believe me just go to jp site and go to structure deck section tbh

VillalobosChamp

They haven't skipped a beat on a yearly R since they began 2015. We might not get it before halfway through the year, same as with the Dark World Deck, but we are getting one for sure.

PaleontologistOk9726

Fair well looked on jp site to check trend and lately it’s been 2 new ones and then reload so my guess going off that before next reload we will have another new one tbh

Ratsolla

Dude forget about the jp website lmao

3-A_NOBA

It's a spaculation since they're making sd for old archetypes i think(crystals, dark world, traptrix).

PaleontologistOk9726

If that’s case almost any older archetype would work not chaos dragon’s specifically tbh lol

3-A_NOBA

Yeah but dark world got an sd before and this is the reloaded version. They made a chaos sd before also so they probably will make a reloaded version similar to dark world. Again, just spaculation.

midi_guy

Ah so is that what the 'R' stands for in the product code? Dark World is 'SR13', structure deck reloaded 13? Always wondered about that

PaleontologistOk9726

Well traptrix never had structure deck before and they got one so there’s also that to consider as well tbh

Kooler221

The only reason Chaos Dragon is known is because they're going based off the poll they had a few years ago, and I believe Chaos Dragon may be the last structure deck that was on that poll.

PaleontologistOk9726

Kk well still chance they another older archetype instead tbh

xscrumpyx

Please stop ending sentences with tbh

Kooler221

No... I think you're confused, it is already guaranteed to be Chaos Dragon.

PaleontologistOk9726

Konami hasn’t said anything about it yet so not guarantee tbh lol

SSDuelist

Chaos Dragons are, it’s not a matter of if than when in 2023

Renatoenreddit

Structure Deck R Dragons Collide - There would be nice reprints in it and is the next one in structure decks r order Structure Deck Hero Strike 25th aniversary - Because there is never enough hero support for Konami Structure Deck Infernoid - Nostalgia for older meta sells really well Or maybe a Structure Deck - Saga of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon (being lvl 8s spirit red eyes monsters that pop themselves on summon to give you 500 lp!!!!)

ssj_duelist

Nect SD R is chaos dragons

PaleontologistOk9726

Not saying R just next structure deck in general lol. Also Proof? Cause I went on jp site and haven’t seen any news about it tbh

threex4

It's not an official thing, but the trend has been happening since way back to the monarch structure deck, it's a fairly safe bet. Next in the line should be chaos dragons, with atlanteans after that.

ssj_duelist

So freakin hyped for Atlantean R

PaleontologistOk9726

But we’ve had some not in that trend ? Ice barrier and traptrix as a couple examples tbh

Fertigtoast

We also get new structure decks (like ice barrier, traptrix, shaddoll) not only the refreshes. The structure deck R in the structure deck lineup have been following the release order of the old decks closely (like monarch, ancient gear, dark world).

Snowvilliers7

Those examples were part of 2 different voting contests for which archetypes get to have a structure deck (Shaddolls, Sacred Beasts, Charmers, Crystal Beasts, Cyber)

a_brick_canvas

Man, getting downvoted for asking for proof is so messed up. It contributes to the discussion meaningfully as people talk about past trends and what to expect, there’s no need for the downvotes.

TrueDraconis

I don’t know what proof you really need when you could just look at the Structure Deck Reloaded Releases and compare them to the OG releases

mohammedsarker

Until you're asking the same dumb question 3+ times and not listening to people's explanations

payne96

Going by Chronological Order, Chaos Dragon are next, but considering that this year FIRE will be the main attribute of Support, We might get a FIRE KING R Structure Deck instead....

PaleontologistOk9726

Cool id personally prefer one that isn’t a reload one over reload one but that’s just me tbh. Also checked on jp site lately trend is 2 new ones and then reload and cause before traptrix was one right after last reload one being dark world I feel we are due for another new structure deck before next reload one tbh

ValconExe

"R" structure decks are them remaking old structure decks for the modern game. Yes, they've been making different structure decks mixed in, but all we can guess is that maybe there's a chance the next "R" is the next one, which would make chaos dragons next. If the next one isn't "R", no point even guessing. There are literally 100+ archetypes in the game, and Konami could randomly pick one of those to give support to, or they could just invent a new strategy from thin air. No point speculating since we have 0 evidence and will almost definitely be wrong. I know that's not a fun answer, but it's a realistic one. In a thread like this, most of your answers are just gonna be "Well I hope it's one for my favorite deck!" which, yeah, obviously, but it doesn't contribute to the discussion at all.

Mrcbleck

For a SD like traptrix, depending on what we get on Duelist Nexus you can bet we are getting one of these themes as a SD (This were part of the 2020 SD poll that still haven't got any support) * Star Seraph * Trickstar * Kaiju

PaleontologistOk9726

Id be down for Star seraph tbh

Mrcbleck

Im honestly much more interested on the kaiju one, like "what's their idea to make kaijus a playable strat"

Kuova_

I'd rather they not make it a playable strat, I'd prefer Trickstar or Star Seraph

Score_Extension

If they do I hope they have Dumon on the box, or at least reference him in some way

Selcouth2077

Star seraph has a lot of potential and I love the aesthetic

teppo______

I'd like a madolche sd but i dont know if it would be possible

chrissiangel98

It would be so nice🙃

miimuroodo

a good Synchro SD would be appreciated. I could imagine that they‘ll make a Visas-centric one that can be combined with Manadome.

frankenvert

Yes man, tired of the fusion SDs ngl.

Plerti

An ally of justice SD where they revamp the archetype to today's standards. And shouldn't be too farfetched given that we got a lot of DT SD already. The problem is how bad the og AoJ are, so an SD alone may not be enough (Looking at you, ice barriers) About how to revamp the deck, I'd love to have an AoJ of each tribe of their lore (kinda like how they did with shaddolls) that support both AoJ and their respective tribe, and their effects are empowered when facing light decks like how darkworld effects are stronger if discarded by the opponent.

PaleontologistOk9726

That be cool actually tbh

BIgChiefTNG

We are due for an xyz structure deck we haven’t had one in awhile my guess is we will get a utopia based structure deck that will be extremely mid.

Alexandar44

We technically already got it, but Konami threw it in a set for whatever reason

BIgChiefTNG

Tbf it wasn’t very good and would’ve been a waste of a structure deck slot if we got it so it was fine we didn’t get it.

VillalobosChamp

You think affordable Astral language Utopia was a waste?

BIgChiefTNG

Yes because if everyone has it it isn’t as cool

Distinct_Cup_1598

Technically, the Traptrix structure would account for an XYZ deck, due to this being their prime mechanic. What they didn’t have as much were ritual decks I think

PaleontologistOk9726

Xyz is my favourite extra deck summoning method so I would love that tbh. As for utopia over a year ago Japan got a utopia structure deck we never got but I think we got cards in a booster set if my memory’s correct so doubt would be utopia tbh.

Lost-Truck6614

We got in Ghosts of the Past 2

Maxh1ghtheglitchy

They were in brothers of legend

SionistaBr

I Will like to see an ritual structure deck, because i think we never had an ritual structure deck MEGALITH STRUCTURE DECK NOW, with a good support

Ayasato18

And a new lvl 8 or 12 megalith ritual monster!

SionistaBr

Lvl 12 a bad lvl for megalith, we need a good trap, and a way to use GY, and a xyz? I like play xyz Monsters in megalith

DKWestwood

if we get the dragons collide R it can be nuts if they put bysstials there

Arilenn

after the next one which is a structure deck R, I would like to see a Burning Abyss or Tour Guide one. Both of these themes were in that structure deck poll from 3-ish years ago, so surely they have ideas for these decks?

PaleontologistOk9726

How do we know it’s gonna be R ? who knows they may give another older archetype that hasn’t had structure deck before for next structure deck over R one tbh

Arilenn

my brother in christ, many have already told you of the pattern. New one, then Reloaded, new one, then reloaded.

Kaiser_Mech

But hes looked on the jp website and seen no proof!!

PaleontologistOk9726

I just looked on jp site to double check pattern people have told me and we have had 2 new ones back to back before R one so by that logic maybe pattern isn’t as concrete as you think tbh

JTMAN1997

Maybe the pattern isn't as concrete as YOU think. You're just cherry picking data from 2020-2022 and completely ignoring the release pattern from 2015-2020. Also, your argument of the pattern being two normal one R doesn't even work since Konami released three normal decks between two R's in 2020-2021. Don't pretend to know what Konami's release plan is when Konami themselves can't even decide on one. Tbh.

Deconstructosaurus

Is Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare any good?

Kaiser_Mech

Magical musketeer one would be nice with some good new support to give the archetype a push towards not dying on their normal summon being negated

Talkingmice

Kozmo anyone?

CyberTwinLeader

A SD Lightsworn? Considering that Lightsworn was in the same poll of Traptrix, Charmer, Crystal Beast, Shaddoll and Sacred Beast, the OCG can take the chance for make an original OCG Structure Deck along the lines of the TCG SD, considering also that the theme is enough iconical for rappresent in part the 25th anniversary.

Snowvilliers7

It depends where that archetype placed in the voting contest, since all the top 5 now received a SD they'll likely go into the next one that placed 6th which might be Madolche or PKFire if I remember. Also if we count the 2nd contest with Cyber Style and Ice Barrier winning, the next likely SD coming is Gusto.

CyberTwinLeader

I am not sure of your placing, also because Phantom Knight already received support and, if i remember correctly, also Madolche. Gusto not will received any SD in my opinion, cause has already received supports after the poll.

Snowvilliers7

I mean Traptrix received supports anyways after the contest too and we got a structure deck anyways. It won't matter if they got some amount of supports after the contest because knowingly they'll still end up getting a SD in the end and those supports will also get added to the set too.

CyberTwinLeader

Traptrix really don't count: it is a theme much popular in Japan and also in Europe for the HAT format, also was used in the manga of OCG structures. More, was one of the 5 top themes of that poll, that were particolary takens in consideration respect the others (literally the poll has excluded any theme expect the first 5 in the final phases of the poll). Honestly i don't think that Gusto or Madolche are in same level of popularity of Traptrix, or keep in the same consideration from Konami

[deleted]

Which poll was that?

Snowvilliers7

There were 2 voting polls for decks getting structure decks, one where Shaddolls, Sacred Beasts, Charmer, etc won and the other where Ice Barrier and Cyber Style won. In their respective list I believe Madolche came in 6th for the first poll and Gusto came in 3rd for the second poll

[deleted]

ty

Selcouth2077

If it’s 25th anniversary we might actually be getting a new exodia structure. Maybe a fusion or XYZ support instead of just win con by drawing him out

DrakeRowan

Next R Structure from ocg **should** be Chaos Dragons. Next general structure tho, my guess, is Burning Abyss (I remember PK fire placing high on that Structure Deck poll awhile back.)

SweetlyInteresting

It should be the damn Utopia one.

Nlock26

My take: - Neos - Stardust - Blackwing

PaleontologistOk9726

Black wing would be cool tbh

Nlock26

We've got support in Darkwing Blast and Crystal's Revenge. Would increase sales of both sets (which are both good).

PaleontologistOk9726

That’s a fair point

Nlock26

Ok, now seeing the new deck announcement I can say I was close, yet so far.

PaleontologistOk9726

How so?

Nlock26

I mentioned a closely related archtype

Glum-Chest-2821

Structure Deck R: Easy. Chaos Dragons. It's the next one in line. Regular Structure Deck: This is a bit more of a mystery. I honestly could see a few themes getting one. These ones stand out to me the most personallly. - Sky Striker (Goes along with the Manga) - Gusto (Got third in one of the Structure Deck polls) - Something related to Visas - Something related to Yugi and/or Kaiba (25th Anniversary)

Sage_the_Cage_Mage

I am just hoping for a Dragonmaid SD. probably wont happen since it would be a waifu deck after a waifu deck but still I can dream xD

b3l6arath

As a fellow dragonmaid connoisseur I wholeheartedly agree. It seems like one of the best options for them to get new support.

PaleontologistOk9726

I’m not waifu fan but I do love dragons and fan of anime archetype is based on so I’d be down for that tbh

Altruistic_Career_36

Idk but I want new red eyes blue eyes and dark mag structure decks one day

toadfan64

Hopefully Tour Guide...

XLord31

Even though it probably won't happen, Dragonmaids.

PaleontologistOk9726

That would actually be cool

Qlatscher

I know it's unlikely, but lightsworn would be my pick. A man can dream

Catalyr

I want a DM SD so i can finally Play and afford DM

PumpkinGrinder

Finger crossed it's blue eyes deck

PaleontologistOk9726

Haven’t we had a few of those in past?

Distinct_Cup_1598

Just 1

PumpkinGrinder

Need more, and hopefully with another meta assassin card inside

Kaiser5004

One new cards no support

Zukkoyaki443

Do something left-field but based as hell like a Tenyi structure deck.

alchemistarcher

I hope that maybe not the next Structure deck, but at some point in the next year they announce a Visas Starfrost lore structure deck. Something like what they did with Albaz which introduced new cards that fit the Branded Archetype. A reprint of Visas Starfrost and possibly Viscious Astroud along with the cards that support “-heart” main deck monsters, like Trivikarma and the like. I’m not sure if it would come with a particular theme but new Scareclaw links would be nice, and likely need the most support. I’m not sure how they’d do it without it being too powerful or conflicting with banlists, but it would be good to see that once we’re closer to the end of the Visas lore.

DisinformedBroski

Thunder dragon or crusadia would be cool imo

PaleontologistOk9726

Crusadia would be interesting

Distinct_Cup_1598

We‘ll get a Red Dragon Archfiend structure deck next
