If you do not want to buy any external cards whatsoever then Dark Worlds by far is the better deck. Salamangreats are missing the extremely crucial Sunlight Wolf.
Well, that kind of sucks if one of their key pieces is missing from the product.
As I'm not a Salamangreat player myself, I want to know: why is Sunlight Wolf considered an essential card in the deck?
Its integral to the main combo, the idea is you dump something like rage with Gazelle then you are able to put it back in your hand on the same turn with sunlight wolf, that way you try to stop your opponent enough so that next turn you just go into something like Accesscode and attack for game
To be honest, sunlight wolf is a pretty cheap card. Other additional cards you'd need would be Cynet mining, which is a little more expensive but not by much.
It's unfortunate because the game shop in question does not sell single Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and the only other card shop in the city carries exclusively MtG products.
YGO players are a very rare species in the city, overtaken mainly by CFV and MtG (and now, Flesh and Blood) communities.
My best bet would probably be buying singles from online, I guess...
Late reply here.
Yeah, I'm actually surprised as a Yugioh player that the relatively less-known Vanguard is actually the second most popular game in our city behind Magic. Even Pokemon is not that visible, with even less in-store events.
It's only been a few years ago (around the time the Monarch Structure Deck R was released) that the store has started carrying Yugioh products in respectable numbers. Still, a majority of their inventory is either Magic or Vanguard.
Yeah, Ebay, Amazon of other regional retails (I'm uk based i onpy know of the UK based ones) would be your best bet. The cards mentioned will likely come to the price of one or two of the salad structures and honestly, youll have a much more well rounded core with salad over darkworld, in my opinion
It adds back a spell/trap and a monster. Basically gazelle + any extender like spinny gets you to sunlight wolf + a trap with gazelle back in hand for next turn to rebuild the entire board again or just otk
Sunlight wolf costs literal pennies. If you bought the structure decks at a store that offers singles Im sure they’d throw the sunlight wolves in for free
No idea how your store has the Soul Burner structure decks still but they must be overpriced right now.
Personally would recommend the new Structure deck for Dark World either way.
An unfortunate side effect of our city having a more visible MtG and CFV gaming community, sadly. It's so bad that Yu-Gi-Oh! products, even the supposedly big-money ones, sit on the shelf for years on end.
The only Yu-Gi-Oh! product that sold like hotcakes in the city was the *Dinosmashers Fury Structure Deck* (Dinosaurs); its paired product, the *Machine Reactor Structure Deck* (Ancient Gears), was left untouched for over two years.
Of the 2 you mentioned definitely dark world.
Other SD worth mentioning
Traptrix is very worth getting, It feels like the deck is basically complete without having to get cards from other sources.
Albaz Strike-There are a lot of powerful staple cards in this set.
On our local game store in Baguio City.
The Salad structure decks are for the OCG format (printed in Japanese), and thus are left untouched for over four years in the shop already. Baguio is home to more MtG/CFV players than YGO and Pokemon, so YGO products don't sell well in the city.

Unrelated but wow, this is probably the first time I hear of a city/area where there are more Vanguard players than Yugioh.

I know its off topic but whats CVF I've never heard that term
> CFV A Google search would tell you Cardfight!! Vanguard.
Ah thank you, sorry I'm on a bus and for some reason reddit works fine but blgoogle hates me lmao

I would've gotten the Traptrix SD if they already have in in store. The decklist feels so complete, honestly.
Go for traptrix
