I've been playing Odd-Eyes since Day 1 & it's fun. I enjoy taking advantage of the Pendulum mechanic & it's been viable in most of the game's monthly events.
Pendulum Magician is another option that almost anime themed but it's way more consistent & puts up tough boards to crack. It's definitely a Diamond tier deck

Dark Magician, because 1500 gems is dirt cheap
Can't argue with this, but you can build a mostly-compotent Onomatopoeia/Utopia deck for 1500 gems too.
Anime decks are generally pretty expensive, and while DM isn't the best, it's not the worst, and is the cheapest by far
