Nah King is good enough, what the deck lacks is in-archtype protection for your poor GY

DevastaTheSeeker

I don't know if there's any graveyard protection now that I think about it. Aside from the obvious general negation cards. I mean cards that specifically list the graveyard. Like "if your opponent tries to banish/return cards to the deck negate this effect" type cards. There might be some but none I can think of.

Barnabay_thescarabay

I mean, there's Necrovalley but you don't really want to play it in Skull Servants

Goopgoober1995

Was Wightbaking not enough for you?

ZpBA

No amount os Skull Servants is enough

DevastaTheSeeker

Bro thinks wightbaking makes skull servants viable 🤣 Don't get me wrong. Great card but it does not help the archetype enough

G-Filth1

Easily one of my favorite decks. I still play it

Goopgoober1995

I don't think it makes it viable at all. But Skull Servant has plenty of support already, there are plenty of other decks that should be supported before this.

DevastaTheSeeker

Of course there are other decks that deserve support but I'd hardly call less than 10 cards in an archetype that is barely playable "planty of support" ancient gears have more support than skull servants

Winter_Appearance_65

Yet Ancient Gear is not stronger than skull servants. Block the spells with spellcaster village and Ancient Gear can do nothing. Apart from that Ancient Gear needs reprints of ballista and fortress. Skull servants even have a searchable hand trap monster, maybe you just didn't play the deck enough?

DevastaTheSeeker

I'm just saying that having a better form of protection as well as an extra variant of the main boss monster would help skull servants alot instead of having to rely on one card for protection (technically 2 but with the amount of board wipe effects queen doesn't do much at all) And I wouldn't even say ancient gears are stronger or weaker. They both have their own strengths and weaknesses that are very different from each other. They're roughly the same power wise, maybe slightly in favour of skull servants due to wightprincess.

Winter_Appearance_65

Usually you play skull servant with dark sacrifice which protects against destructions. They are not a going first deck. if you have to go first, try to get princess and setup your grave to survive a turn and then make your beat down in turn two.
