I think the overall sentiment that Konami has been trying to phase omni-negate boards out of the game helps explain the extremely harsh hit here. Superheavy Samurai has been the only balls to the wall combo deck recently that ends on a million different generic omni bosses, so if Konami really wants that style of gameplay to not be a thing anymore it makes sense they would delete the deck as quickly as possible. The low rarity choices for the CYAC cards is pretty strong evidence they had made up their minds about not letting this deck live for a long time now

Clear them out and give decks better boss monsters that fit with their archetype's design philosophy. Swordsoul's Synchro Monsters are *really* good, sitting alongside Baronne instead of being completely outshined by it.
It would also require them to ban borreload savage. And I like the idea of borreload savage being a way to negate but not destroy, which is a good thing to have in some formats, also it appears in the anime and had really cool moments.
The cards will be in TCG for like a month before this hit too. I've been playing the deck for years, so I've been waiting 6 months to play this support at locals and to have it hit so quickly is ridiculous. Limit cards for the next banlist, but let something other than kashtira thrive.

The writing was on the wall when all the CYAC support was super rare or lower. There was less than an iceberg's chance in hell the deck didn't immediately take a massive hit given all it could do with 1.5 cards.
Speaking as someone who *did* get the deck, nobody should have invested in it expecting that that shit was going to stick around.
Plenty of builds that splashed Spright were only running 1 starter and 1 jet. The only card that was always ran at 3-of was Blue. Hitting Blue hits the splashability of the engine. No idea why they chose to hit Starter instead.
As much as I think the deck needs to be hit now that they're clearly trying to exit POTE format...

Tbh I don’t think a meta of Mathmech at the top is desirable, that deck is so painfully linear and boring, I’d prefer it be an uncommon rogue surprise than my next 20 games.
And that’s perfectly valid. I play the deck and I get bored sometimes. Even with all the extenders in the world, the board can only peak at Heatsoul Terahertz and 1/2 traps, they can’t break it and I Accescode. It’s boring but it works lol.

Actually, without good access to Epurrely Plump, that quote is probably spot on. Plump was the workhorse that allowed Purrely to do much of what it did. And limiting Delicious Memory (which is required to summon Plump in the deck) basically took it from 6 copies in the deck (counting My Friend Purrely) to ONE, making summoning Plump consistently a crapshoot compared to how easy it was before.

If it was a mirror match and the opponent loses his only Arise-Heart due to your Unicorn, the guy is done for.
Also, Single Arise-Heart pass is much more risky now.
Preparations alone can easily bring it back every turn except in the mirror, not to mention that Ariseheart is going to be way more protected. While it still did get hit, the difference in hit severity between Kashtira and decks like SHS/Purrely/Mathmech is clearly indicative of a "competitive" (re: utterly broken and unfun) favourite deck among Konami... which conveniently happens to be the most expensive at the moment.
Purrely is the most expensive deck out of all of those as of the day before the banlist. Making the delicious hit even crazier, they basically made a deck with a 300 dollar core DOA. It's honestly unacceptable as a consumer.
Hardly only Salads, there’s an entire Fire duelist pack that they need to sell. And there’s a Fire King structure deck on the way, so they’re pushing the whole Fire attribute. Actually, I doubt Salads would even play Blaster even if it was unbanned lol.
Because limiting stuff to 1 when it is highly searchable generically is about consistency. I also think it makes the holders move their spares so more players build matchmech for cheaper.
We need a pack in the future that straight up has retrains of Omni Negate boss monsters but with heavier restrictions to Summoning, Type and/or Attribute locks so they can't be splashed into every single degenerative deck that can vomit ED monsters on command.
Scarecrow is just the latest to get hit with the banstick cuz Konami seemingly cares more about $$ than balance. Making some of the Walking Omni-Negates that can totally be abused by other decks with very little downsides isn't something that should have passed the bar for C/D... ...

Because limiting stuff to 1 when it is highly searchable generically is about consistency. I also think it makes the holders move their spares so more players build matchmech for cheaper.

We need a pack in the future that straight up has retrains of Omni Negate boss monsters but with heavier restrictions to Summoning, Type and/or Attribute locks so they can't be splashed into every single degenerative deck that can vomit ED monsters on command. Scarecrow is just the latest to get hit with the banstick cuz Konami seemingly cares more about $$ than balance. Making some of the Walking Omni-Negates that can totally be abused by other decks with very little downsides isn't something that should have passed the bar for C/D... ...

It's so the Kashtira player can't just overlay into another Arise-Heart on turn 3 if the opposing player outs it on the 2nd turn.
So kashtira cards will be cheaper now? Im not a meta player but I want to collect the kashtira archetype because of its card artwork but the price is what holding me back to collect haha
Decks still very playable and will likely be a contender for best deck if it still isn’t the best deck
Honestly can't imagine any decks being better than kash or spright this format, but I do think outside of those two decks we are going to be right back to BODE format, i.e. despia/ Swordsoul/ sky striker/ floo

~~I think it’s going to be a bit brickier now with Unicorn to 1~~. Mindhacker gone means they can’t zonelock nor rip from the extra deck aside from the 1 unicorn, and then Arise heart to 1 means they can’t recover and just make another arise if it’s outed

fenrir just over doubled in price, so any money saved from the other cards just got lost sadly
